WWE bosses Triple H and Vince McMahon were not happy with the Punk part of Rock's segment, according to PWInsider. The segment was not something WWE came up with or even approved. This was described as something Rock did "in the moment" for the crowd. It was also noted that it was clear to anyone near Vince and Triple H, especially Triple H, that they did not want this going on. Word was eventually sent from the back that Rock needed to wrap it up.
the rock is A list and vince and triple h are fake wrestling nerds. he can wipe his ass with their likes and dislikes and they will still beg and pay him to appear on wwe broadcasts. i love reading reports like this.
Isn't this movie about Paige a hunter girl? Not that Vince and hunter aren't insecure jackasses but this sounds like a fake report cause it's "easy" news
Well, if the going theories are true, here is why we have no stars anymore. If it's true Vince or Hatich want no one with any leverage over the company anymore here a shining example of why. I don't know if this theory is true, but this would sure spark something like that.
FFS, it was just a damn dark segment. Why should Vinnie Mac & Trips give a rat's ass when someone goes off script during a dark segment. It's that kind of micro-managing attitude that prevents them from making stars. But then, they don't want stars, they want puppets who are perceived as stars.
If they shut his mic, The Rock should have stormed to the back, shined up his mic, turned it sideways and stuck it straight up Vince and HHH candy asses! If you smell what the rock is cooking!
It was still The Rock; They probably thought it would have been disrespectful to literally cut off his mic. Also, just because they were upset or annoyed doesn't mean they were so hot about it they thought it would have even been necessary anyway.
I usually support Vince and Trips but come on with the Rock you should allow him free reign (Unless he does something drastic). The guy is one of their best assets.
Dude, they would totally do something about that because this is HHH and Vince K. McMahon we're talking about here. They'd roll up their sleeves, put on a stern look, march on down to that ring, and then they'd clean it up after thanking The Dwayne for the deposit.
So its OK for Stephanie to make fun of Punk for his MMA performance and for WWE to use Miz and Ziggler to mimic that fight in one of their matches...but Rock does a funny bit and that's a no-no?
Vince and HHH need to shut their mouth and know their roles, jabronis. The Rock is DA GOAT draw and if they weren't on his balls to bring their worthless product some mainstream attention he wouldn't be there.
I get the impression Vince doesn't dislike CM Punk all that much. At least not so much that he would never do business with him again. Triple H on the other hand despises CM Punk and Stephanie despises CM Punk's wife. I'd venture to guess they have bigger issues with all this than Vince. Vince would bring CM Punk and AJ Lee back I bet. If money can be made Vince is in.
And that is why Triple H and Steph probably will fuck WWE over as they let personal feelings get in the way of business. For all his faults Vince would put that aside and bring Punk back in a heartbeat
I have a serious question, why does the Rock do this when he knows it will piss them off? Yeah I know the Rock is bigger than the WWE, they need him 100x more than he needs them. Who knows how he really is but the Rock comes off as genuine great guy every time he's in the media. Like a legit good hearted dude. And he knows Vince and HHH very well, and he knows they'd be upset at what he did. So why did he do this? It seems very disrespectful towards Vince, as the Rock knows very well what he's doing. Again I don't know his true personality, but everything I know about him suggests he would admit he owes his success to Vince, and respects both the business and company immensely. I understand when he was on Raw and went off script to confront the guy dressed up as Hogan. That was to diffuse the situation. I would understand it here if the Rock might have encouraged a CM Punk chant to get it out of their system. But I cannot for the life of me understand why he called Punk.
I'm sure the highest paid actor in Hollywood is very concerned that Vince and Paul are mad at him. Especially since he appears for WWE as a favor to Vince anyway. Yes I'm sure he got on his knees and begged forgiveness.
If only Punk had walked the dog earlier. How awesome it could have turned out.
