On Jericho's Podcast, he interviewed Lana and Rusev and they spoke about wrestlers hitting them with stiff shots. How once can be understood as a mistake, but twice isn't on.
Chris Jericho then explained how at Survivor Series, Shane McMahon hit him with two stiff shots (not to mention kick out from the codebreaker, but that's another story) and Jericho had none of it and dropkicked him in the face on purpose (I always remembered that but thought Shane McMahon must of fucked up somehow). Jericho then did an impression of Shane saying 'sorry, sorry':grin2:

Can Chris Jericho be any more awesome?!!

There is zero reason Shane should ever be in a ring ever again. The only thing he ever did really well was jump off high things, otherwise he was pretty terrible all things considered, and is a danger to whoever he's in the ring with.

It really does suck that with AJ Styles has to face him, especially after having an amazing year like he did. Hopefully the storyline they build for it is good enough where it makes up for the match itself. Hell, maybe Styles will do a Vince/HBK thing and have a GREAT match with Shane (Vince was also MUCH better than Shane).

Just playing devils advocate Shane isn't really a trained wrestler couldn't three of four stiffs still be a mistake? It does also bring to mind a story about a much younger Lionheart who got pulled aside by Mick Foley who said (paraphrasing) "hey man I don't care if you hit me, but the rest of the guys here will"

Now back to my normal Jericho mark self.. good for Jericho! He taught someone a good ring lesson AND got to kick the boss's son in the face!

Be fair now, Shane's really good at taking an asskicking and with the right worker can be pulled up to a high level and put on a good match i.e. his match with Angel which was great. Now granted that was a long time ago, but Shane has shown signs of maintaining his (yes limited, but still serviceable) althletisism and Styles right now imo opinion is better then Kurt was even then, so I think they're capable of putting on an even better match, if, and that's a BIG IF, WWE let's them go out there and call the match they want.

All that said if WWE micromanaged the match and limits it to three foreign objects, two table spots, and one crazy leap, yes it won't be very good.

And they thought putting him with Brock would've been a good idea?

Granted, maybe it's a different situation. Maybe there's no such thing as stiffing Brock Lesnar. But still, I wouldn't want to be the one to find out.

Even if he wasn't stiff, there's the fact that he's not a fucking wrestler and you book him evenly with your legends. To me, that's the biggest issue with him as a wrestler. Everybody can be stiff at times, Jericho had that reputation himself. But, at least they know what the fuck they're doing. Shane comes off as a kid that reenacts wrestling moves on his little brother who doesn't know any better.

Maybe they should've put him with Brock, so he can get that receipt.

100% correct

And honestly the guy is not even a good wrestler. Never has been. Shane's a spot machine, nothing more.

I give him credit for being a daredevil. But that is extent of his merits in the ring.

I feel really sorry for AJ more and more.

Jericho hits the lionsault on Shane and Shane puts up the knees.

You can faintly hear Jericho whisper 'you countered, roll up pin'.

Jericho sounded perplexed that Shane was so fucking stupid.
