Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal title
Undertaker vs. Reigns. "It was noted to us that Vince McMahon had been wanting to make this match for some time. With Undertaker’s condition the way it is, this could have been the last chance to do it. There is the idea of a generational passing of the torch."
HHH vs. Seth Rollins. "Obviously this is in jeopardy right now."
Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title
Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens
John Cena & Nikki Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse
Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal
Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Nia Jax vs. Sasha Banks for the women’s title
"The other match that is rumored that looks likely, but not confirmed is A.J. Styles vs. Shane McMahon."
Owens is planned lose the Universal title to Goldberg at Fastlane. Cena is planned to lose the WWE title to Bray Wyatt at Elimination Chamber.

Some more information on the Cena match:

John Cena & Nikki Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse. This is notable in a lot of ways. When this match came out, a ton of people internally were rolling their eyes about it. On one hand, it does feel like a waste for Cena, who was originally to face Undertaker, and there was also talk of Samoa Joe and others. But there is also a lot of talk that it would be Nikki Bella’s last match (there are reports of that but nobody we’ve asked about it internally either had any knowledge or confirmed it). If so, you can see her wanting to go out with her boyfriend at WrestleMania and see him maybe wanting that as well. Miz has done a great job of late and the Miz & Maryse couple are a near main event level act. With the storyline where Natalya pushed that “John will never marry you,” I keep thinking this could lead to a proposal, and if that’s the case, in the big picture, this match makes sense. I don’t know that’s the case. That would be a far bigger thing as far as something memorable than anything, even a great match with A.J. Styles, that Cena could be to the majority of fans.
Information on Ambrose:

"Dean Ambrose is kinda like, well he doesn't have anything for Wrestlemania at this point. I suppose they could do something for the IC title, I mean like a multiple person match or something, but y'know we'll see. There's already a lot of matches on the card and there's the battle royal and everything, but they could still add something. He may be subjected to being on the pre-show at this rate unless he's in that battle royal"
Wow, this shit is shaping up to be even worse than WM32.

I think the worst part of all this is that all you have to do is move a couple of pieces around and you'd have a pretty decent mania. Oh well. Still going to watch, just a shame there aren't at least a couple chances for 5 star matches in there that I can see. sigh.

Goldberg vs Lesnar for the UNIVERSAL TITLE is easily the worst out of all of those. You have a roster full of guys fighting to have a good spot at Mania and those two part timers are the ones that get the title match.

SD, as usual, doesn't get shit. Ambrose is shafted to a multi man match, AJ gets fucking Shane fpalm, and Cena/Miz get each other on a mixed tag team match. How worse could it get?

And yeah, Nia... :punkout

The only matches I'm interested in are Bray vs Orton (even though the winner will probably disappoint me) and Owens/Jericho (which should be the Universal Title match).

Now leave Becky out of the SD title match too so that can be the icing on the cake for me... Why do I even bother.

If they really wanted to pass the torch so badly then why not have Cena (you know, the actual guy of the last generation and someone that isn't crumbling apart) vs. Roman?

Whatever though, I'm really not feeling this card. The only good thing to come out of WM at this rate will be smarks going nuclear after Roman pins Taker clean with one or two spears. I love Bray and all but his last match with Randy was not anything special. Jericho/Owens would have been fantastic 5-8 years ago. Even Styles couldn't get much out of Jericho in the ring, the guy is 45 and wrestles like it. Then again, Owens wrestles at a slower pace than AJ. So maybe he would mesh better with Jericho.

Its going to be another night where i prefer the pre show Matches to the main card,

Can certainly see this card reaching the 5 hour mark as well...

Its just to long of a show now as well, any longer than 3 and a half hours and i just start to lose interest no matter how good the match.
e.g
Seth VS Finn at Summerslam.

I thought with the stacked talent they had WM29 (Lesnar, Rock, Cena, Taker, Punk, HHH) was the worst card ever put out. This is even worse, you have Lesnar, Goldberg, Taker, Reigns, Cena, Styles, Orton, Wyatt, Ambrose, HHH, Rollins (maybe), Owens and Jericho on a card and this is the best you could come up with?

In a perfect world this would be the WM33 card

John Cena vs Undertaker

WWE/IC Title (both titles on the line)
AJ Styles(c) vs Dean Ambrose(c)

WWE Universal Title
Kevin Owens (c) w/Jericho vs Finn Balor vs Samoa Joe (Samoa Joe is gifted a title opportunity for helping HHH with Rollins)

Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg

HHH vs Rollins (If Rollins is injured, I'd prefer HHH be left off the card altogether, no other opponent makes sense)

Raw vs Smackdown
Roman Reigns vs Baron Corbin

Randy Orton vs Bray Wyatt w/Luke Harper

Smackdown Tag Team Titles
American Alpha(c) vs The Revival

Raw Tag Team Titles
The Club(c) vs Enzo/Cass vs The New Day vs Sheamus/Cesaro

Raw Women's Title
Charlotte(c) vs Sasha Banks vs Bayley vs Nia Jax

Smackdown Women's Title
Alexa Bliss(c) vs Becky Lynch vs Mickie James vs Nikki Bella

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (everyone else) - Winner: Braun Strownman

This is a show that sounds like I'm going to give a miss, nothing on that card interests me in the slightest.

SD is getting shafted big time, their programs leading to WM are fucking Bray-Orton, Shane-AJ and Cena w/ Nikki v Miz and Maryse. Are you fucking kidding me? Those are B or C tier PPV feuds... SD's ratings deserve to plummet with shit like that.

I'm down with anything that results in AJ having multiple matches a PPV :mark: :mark:

I have NO issues with Berg/Brock main eventing if the title is on the line. A stip should be added where the loser leaves the company for good.

But that proposed card sucks. Sorry but Cena/Orton at Mania needs to happen whether you like either guy or not. Wyatt has done nothing to get a title match. Maybe Rollins' injury shakes thing up a bit?

They're so focused on trying to sell out stadiums and setting "attendence records" that they are constantly relying on part time and retired stars for their biggest shows. Their inability/unwillingness to create new stars combined with uncertainty about the financial state of the company once Vince is gone could be reason for concern.

This sounds awful. Roman vs. Taker-Bleh.

AJ vs. Shane-Bleh.

Goldberg vs. Brock is fine, but not with the title involved.

The Women's Match could either be really good (especially if Sasha steals and win and starts her heel run as champion), or a complete mess.

KO vs. Jericho-That one's ok.

John Cena's match sounds boring. Also shouldn't Natalya be involved, given that she's the one who keeps bringing Cena/Nikki's dating him into their feud?

Big Show and Shaq-Don't care.

Rollins vs. Triple H-Up in the air right now. Also if it means that Joe loses his first big feud on the main roster, then bleh (also what does Joe do for Mania)?

Where the heck is Ambrose, or the SD women (do they get nothing yet again on a big four PPV, bullcrap)?

What exactly are some expecting Vince to change?

The only thing I see from Rollins injury (thats if he decides to wait till after Mania) is Hunter vs Joe or Cena vs Joe and Hunter vs Balor.

WWE absolutely cannot do that with Triple H though. Seth's only rumoured to be out 8 weeks, so even if he doesn't make Mania, he'll be back shortly after. They will want to continue the Rollins-Triple H feud, so if Triple H has a replacement match at Wrestlemania, he needs to go over his opponent. Otherwise Seth returning and beating him will look garbage if someone else has just beaten him in a big match a month or so before. And having Balor or Joe lose a marquee match against Triple H at Mania will make them look terrible. It's a lose-lose situation for WWE if they book Triple H against one of those guys as a replacement for Seth - cause they either kill the Seth storyline or kill Balor/Joe. Not that I'd put it past WWE to still book something like that though.

If a replacement is needed for Seth I hope it's either The Rock or Kurt Angle that's brought in (unrealistic that may be). Or at least some part-timer that can still make for an interesting spectacle. Triple H can go over and still continue to look the big bad heel, and the crowd at least get a nostalgia pop.

Anyway, Owens is booked like a bitch in this reign, so I have no problem with him dropping the belt to a legend. But I'm definitely not a fan of unnatural and forced hot potato with a belt, so for me both Cena and Goldberg transitional reigns make no sense. Styles should've dropped the belt strictly to Wyatt, Owens - to Lesnar.

Since I wasn't planning on watching Mania this year, this card is exactly what I'd want them to do.

Reigns retiring Taker at Mania will have the best crowd reaction ever. They are gonna shit on Reigns so badly, it'll probably follow Reigns for the rest of his career.

Brock and Goldberg will be gassed after 30 seconds. Shit show for sure.

Cena buried in an intergender total divas match. Fuckin awesome. Almost makes up for having him tie Ric Flair's record. Hopefully Nikki retires and Cena follows shortly after.
