Honestly, the state of him tonight. Can barely move let alone wrestle at this point, and his physique is an absolute eyesore, just looked like a fat, old man.
Beat it fat hater, Owens is putting on awesome matches. Taker is gassed after doing 3 moves. Let's see you work a 20 minute plus match. If you can't, you have no place to criticize.
He did look out of sorts. Stumbling around the ring sometimes. Hopefully it's just some ring rust. He hasn't looked great for a while anyway. As long as he can chokeslam, tombstone, and old school I dun give a shyyyyyyt.
If only this mattered. He's in show business. He needs to uphold an image and it's definitely not the one shown last night. It's time to hang those boots up and go listen to Kid Rock in the garage while working on a Harley.
Don't agree with everything in this thread, but Taker definitely looked rough. With that said, just the allure of Taker still sells, I mean he got the loudest pop of the night. He can get in much better shape, considering Mania is three months away still, but who knows if he will.
In my opinion his matches vs. Brock were pretty solid in 2015. I can't see he and Reigns having a good match, though. That would seemingly defy the law of physics.
He looked the worst hes ever looked last night and its not gonna get any better than that. No way in HELL he makes it past WM 33. He will retire i just wish it was Cena in his last match instead of Reigns. HUGE opportunity and match wasted once again.
All the respect in the world for him but when the camera was doing it's close up of him he looked so bad, he looked every bit of his age and then even older.
Taker is 51 years old so you can't expect him to look his best but when he started tossing out the likes of Goldberg, Corbin etc I did get myself a little carried away! :mark: :mark:
What's interesting is Kane is basically the same age and has wrestled way more over the last 9 years yet looks pretty good for his age. I mean, he has a belly too but he has a softer look and his face isn't worn out to that extent of takers. I guess it's genetics and maybe some lifestyle factors
Ive loved Taker since I was a kid but.... last night was just sad. I had to laugh out loud with his slow speed when clotheslining guys out of the ring. It just looked silly. It's time.
Like ALWAYS, people here are overreacting. He had a bit of a gut, who cares?! He still looked like a legit bad ass out there and looked pretty good from the face and his hair looked awesome! And my money is on him leaning out for Mania, he's got 2 months to do it which is simple with diet and cardio.
Lol, the way most here put it you'd think he was in his 90's and had one foot in the grave..
I think people need to remember he had hip surgery not long ago, was probably limited to what he could do in a gym. He was alright last night, some definite ring rust there but he will be ready for Mania.
Taker being way past his prime is news to somebody today? Really? He should have retired over a decade ago. He last looked good in the Attitude Era. He never should have started the only one match per year thing. He should have retired before that, with some dignity.
2. In the last few PPV's with Taker's involvement the WWE have used pictures of Taker from years ago in the promotion. Look at the Rumble one, that picture was probably 10 years ago.
3. Taker won the Rumble back in 2007. Look at the unbelievable shape he was in. People forget how athletic he was, the guy was in phenomenal shape in his early-mid 40s. One of the best physiques in the business.
4. Taker said in an interview, quite a famous one where The Rock appears, that he would hang it up when fans would say something amongst the lines of "you see that guy there, back in my day he was really something." I'm paraphrasing but that's essentially what he said. Well Taker, you've been my favourite since I was a kid but you've well and truly hit that time. And you're doing disservice to your great legacy.
He really looked terrible on the match, whoever works with him will have to bump like a ping pong ball.
The Miz and Sami Zayn were forced to stand by the ropes until the Deadman could reach them, was sad to see, specially for a man who was know for his mobility despite it's size.
I think is better if he faces a heavyweight wrestler otherwise he will have to work in a pace that probably he can't keep now.
