- Goldberg vs. Lesnar
- Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
- HHH vs. Seth Rollins
- Jericho vs. Owens
- Wyatt vs. Orton
- Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal
- Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax as the Raw women’s title match.
The key is the Rumble winner is likely, although they could swerve, to be the person who will challenge for either the Universal title or WWE title. The only Smackdown match on that list is Orton vs. Wyatt, and it’s not a secret that Wyatt was scheduled for a title run in 2017. That immediately puts both of them in contention, and if one wins, the other would be favored to win the Chamber match. There’s a story that just started going around about Orton winning the Rumble and Wyatt winning the Chamber match. If that doesn’t happen, it would be because plans changed. Even though historically the booking before Mania always gets out and it almost never changed (it changes for other reasons, such as injuries or guys quitting, but that’s usually known as well), with the increase in social media, my feeling is nothing is a lock until it happens. I doubt we’ll see major destination changes, in the sense the top of the card will probably be pretty close to as is slated now, but how to get there could change."

Now, lets assume for the sake of argument that whey will have Bray Wyatt in a title program at Wrestlemania booklel).
You have a choice there: give either Wyatt or Orton the Rumble, and the other one the Elimination Chamber, and you give Orton a second Rumble win instead of using it to cement Wyatt as a big time player? What kind of ass backward booking is that?
I don't know if people are complaining about match quality or the star power of the matches but what's been listen seems to have a good mix of both overall:
Goldberg/Lesnar- will be a shitshow as a match but will be a huge spectacle
Reigns/Taker- should be a good-great match with a big fight feel
HHH/Rollins- should be a good-great match with a big fight feel AND a lot of personal heat attached
KO/Jericho- should be a decent-good match possibly with a lot of personal heat
Shaq/Big Show- will be a shitshow but bring media coverage
Raw 4 way- could be good-great, could have big fight feel (last year's did), could also be brought down by Nia
Wyatt/Orton- should be decent-good, could be good-great, should have heat, could have big fight feel
To me that's nowhere near as bad as WM 32 let alone as dire as WF is making it out to be.
For more info on this rumored card, from the Observer:
Among the key guys, the obvious guys not on the list of matches are Cena, Styles, Balor, Dean Ambrose and Strowman of guys that will likely be in key matches. Cena vs. Samoa Joe was definitely an idea that was pitched, and made sense based on a few things we’ve heard, but we’ve never heard a confirmation on that. There are rumors of Styles vs. Shane McMahon, and Styles did complain about the idea of the Elimination Chamber match to Shane and neither have anything going. As noted before, Goldberg agreeing to stay past one match may have saved Lesnar from this year’s Shane program and Shane pitched for that idea and they had started in that direction before it was dropped cold.
Undertaker vs. Reigns is notable because Vince McMahon made the call to go from the original Undertaker vs. Cena direction to this match. On paper, this would make it a lock that nobody is coming close to the boos Reigns will be getting on this show. Regardless of the outcome, this to me only makes sense if the plan is an all-out Reigns heel turn and use this as the springboard. Otherwise, the idea of Undertaker beating him and then endorsing him won’t work, because Daniel Bryan and Rock endorsed him and it didn’t work. Undertaker losing to him unless the match is dramatically perfect will only get him more heel heat.
I may be in the minority but I'm all for Undertaker vs Reigns, especially if it leads to Reigns' heel turn. Takers name carries serious weight and Roman turning heel against him to win will send a totally different vibe than him turning on Dean, Seth, AJ, etc. It'll stave off the edgy smarks who cheer heels in order to prove how they're too smart to be worked for awhile. I have no doubt the arena will be wide awake because as much as we claim to dislike Roman, there's a reason a lot of you can't stop discussing what he will or will not be doing come April. This company may have forced him but they've hooked you and like a coke head, you're constantly looking for your next fix.
You know what's going to happen? Monday on Raw we're going to have Reigns in the ring as Universal champ and Cena in the ring as WWE Champ and Taker as the Rumble winner. And Taker is going to choose Roman and Vince is going to piss himself laughing because he trolled us all into thinking Taker/Cena might be happening.
Agreed. There's this weird idea going around about Reigns that he's a rejected babyface. He's not. He's a rejected performer. Fans don't want him to turn heel, they want him to quit. He's terrible at his job and turning heel isn't going to make him a better performer, it's just going to ensure the better reaction. Hey, I guess that's better than nothing but he'll still be a shit talker, a shit worker and have no charisma whatsoever.

People keep parroting that this is an atrocious card but haven't said what's atrocious about it besides Reigns/Taker and Big Show/Shaq. Is that all it takes to ruin an entire WM card? Mostly it just seems to me that people are upset because the show they've been fantasy booking for the last 6 months won't be happening.
Atrocious is a much stronger word than I'd use but this card screams mediocre to me. Not one match stands out as having potential to be really good. I'll wait and see how much of this report actually comes true before I condemn the show to hell though.
I still don't understand why Big Show and Shaq is happening? I really don't think anyone cares in the slightest. The rest of those matches are pretty obvious and have been building for months.
Because Mania is a pop culture event. Shaq is a star and it would generate coverage on ESPN, TNT, NBA TV, E, USA, etc. Shaq is a promoter of all things he does. Big Show is a walking giant. Mania always has celeb interaction, as it should, it is why it isn't second class like BFG, Starrcade, or WrestleKingdom. It puts eyes and coverage on product. Plus it is something Show has wanted to do before as he has already said.
Show made Mayweather work. Why couldn't he make a 7 foot tall, 300 lb giant, who is trained in defensive tactics as a reserve deputy also work?
It's the most ass backwards push of all time. It's like they're doing everything they possibly can to ensure he gets the opposite reaction they want him to. Madness.

If it leads to a heel turn then I don't think too many people will have a problem with it. The main reason people have a problem with it is because doing a face vs. face program between the two is going to be an absolute trainwreck. Your entire last point is a load of shit. The issue is WWE once again forcing a narrative that is fucking dumb as hell and doesn't work and it's going to reach its peak if they try to do this crap against The Undertaker. It's not about WWE forcing anybody to watch. It's about WWE continuously acting like a stubborn fucktard and ruining the supposed premier part of their premier show because they ignorantly refuse to change a horribly miscast character - the MAIN character. Or that's what they want us to believe. Just because they have him go out there and tell us he's DA GUY doesn't mean it holds any water.
But it was only two weeks ago that Meltzer was convinced Taker was wrestling Braun Strowman? He seems to just be guessing at this point. Sorry Meltzer, zero buys.
Taker to put over reigns, but couldnt put over wayatt?
And wyatt scheduled for a title run?
I'd rather see Ambrose face James fucking Ellsworth at Wrestlemania than see him get stuck in another multi-man IC ladder match.
