WON: Current Mania lineup

From the recent WON...

"The Mania lineup at this point is looking like:

- Goldberg vs. Lesnar
- Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
- HHH vs. Seth Rollins
- Jericho vs. Owens
- Wyatt vs. Orton
- Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal
- Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax as the Raw women’s title match.

The key is the Rumble winner is likely, although they could swerve, to be the person who will challenge for either the Universal title or WWE title. The only Smackdown match on that list is Orton vs. Wyatt, and it’s not a secret that Wyatt was scheduled for a title run in 2017. That immediately puts both of them in contention, and if one wins, the other would be favored to win the Chamber match. There’s a story that just started going around about Orton winning the Rumble and Wyatt winning the Chamber match. If that doesn’t happen, it would be because plans changed. Even though historically the booking before Mania always gets out and it almost never changed (it changes for other reasons, such as injuries or guys quitting, but that’s usually known as well), with the increase in social media, my feeling is nothing is a lock until it happens. I doubt we’ll see major destination changes, in the sense the top of the card will probably be pretty close to as is slated now, but how to get there could change."

So if this is true:

-AJ, the MVP of WWE in 2016 and one of the most over guys on the roster, doesn't get a marquee match. And no, him vs. Shane doesn't count. For the SECOMD YEAR AN A ROLE they screw him over with a Mania match.

-Ambrose, another one of the most over guys on the main roster, also doesn't get a big match.

-Orton vs. Bray for the title at some point is good. But NOT at Mania (at least not this year). They need more time to build Bray back up as a legit contender (SS would be a better place to do this imo).

-The SD Women aren't on the card, after being left off the main card of the RR as well. Way to book your two brands to look "equal" WWE.

-John freaking Cena doesn't get a marquee match either.

-Part-timers/"special attractions" dominate the top spots yet again. You just never learn do you WWE.

-Does anyone think that Roman vs. Taker would be a good idea? I mean it's literally a lose/lose situation as far as WWE is concerned and there's ZERO chance that Roman would get cheered in that match.

-The four-way Raw women's match could be either quite entertaining or a total mess. Really I HOPE that this isn't the actual card.

-Etc.

Really I HOPE that this isn't the actual card because it sounds freaking awful.

Wyatt vs Orton at or near the top is very risky given that Wyatt has been jobbed out the last couple years(though he's had a strong last few months), their last match wasn't that great, and I just honestly feel this match will do nothing for that Mania crowd.

Both are great, but it's just very bland. They had something with the Orton and Wyatt team that was working, but WWE is so short term they've killed it when they could have kept it going for several more months, maybe even longer than that.

AJ vs Shane is a high profile match, it's not like it's AJ vs Swagger or forced in a match with Ellsworth. But it's sad to see that AJ misses out on having a great match at Mania with someone of equal caliber. That being said this could be match of the night. Which shows that they'll make the most of it, and also sad that it's probably true given the rest of the card.

Again, big big big mistake in not having Cena vs Taker. That's the match Mania's are built for.

AJ vs. Shane is a waste, and I say that as someone who likes both of them. It's doubly a waste given that AJ was made to job clean to Jericho in what was essentially a mid-card feud last year at Mania. The guy is 40 years old, who knows how many marquee Mania matches he's got left in him. If you're going to give him a big moment, then it should be sooner rather than later. And this is especially true given that he's one of the most over guys on the roster and was the company's MVP for last year.

And yet, out of all of the cool possibilities that they could go with, then big idea might be to make him go up against a 46 year old non-wrestler who couldn't even make his match at last year's Mania work, really?

Like I said, it's a waste.

Considering the plethora of talent they have, that's about as poor as you could possibly book Mania.

Reigns vs Taker can't happen at WM. No one will accept Taker losing to Reigns at Mania and everyone expects that to happen. There will be no desire to watch that match.

Styles vs Shane would be fine on a B level ppv. AJ can get a solid match out of anyone, and you know Shane will take a couple of crazy bumps. So from a spectacle side, it's fine. But AJ should get a top notch wrestler for WM.

Also Wyatt vs Orton for the title? Because their last singles match was so great? I'm a huge fan of Wyatt, but that match is uninteresting. Also why would you give Orton the RR win and not Wyatt? Orton doesn't need more accolades.

Best case scenario, since this is the direction they're going. Have Wyatt win the RR and have Orton take the title from AJ at EC. AJ gets his rematch in a triple threat with Orton and Wyatt at WM. AJ loses without being pinned which sets him off against Shane, since he lost his title while defending his title against 5 men and had to use his rematch in a triple threat.

That can then set up AJ vs Shane at the next B ppv and Bray vs Orton. For a B level show, that's solid. Also they really dropped the ball on Miz. If Shane has to wrestle someone it should have been Miz. They should have thrown obstacle after obstacle at him until he finally dropped the IC title.

I really hate the IWC lol. This card is much better than last years and everyone's still complaining.

Triple H vs. Rollins is damn near a dream match.

Goldberg vs. Brock is meh on paper but it appeals to mainstream media. You need that.

Shaq vs. Big Show is another meh, but appeals to the mainstream media. It'll probably be a fun ten minute thing and nothing more.

Taker vs. Roman will probably be a great match, but the crowd might kill it lol. If this is Vince's way of getting people to side with Roman? The man is off. Roman beats Taker and you're kicking the community that hates Roman right in the nuts. No coming back if Roman beats Taker, but it'll be a good match.

Raw Women's title is a nice match, probably another W for Char to keep the PPV streak going and setup the inevitable Asuka/Char feud.

Jericho vs. Owens for the US Title more than likely. Quality.

Orton vs. Bray for the WWE Championship - The perfect Wrestlemania moment for Bray if HE wins the Rumble and Randy wins the chamber. I wouldn't do it the other way. What the hell happened to all the "Bray needs a title run!" folk?!

Also probably gonna get AJ vs. Shane; a match that will tell a great story, get dubbed a main event and give AJ his first real WM moment. Probably gonna see Braun win the Andre Battle Royal, and possibly Joe vs. Cena? That's a stacked card. Toss in a Ladder match for the IC title with Ambrose vs. Miz vs. Tye vs. Dolph vs. Corbin vs. Kalisto/Apollo and you got lineup.

Ok you people will complain about just anything. Here's my take. You guys seriously think Taker has any chance to win the Rumble? Smh. Randy is winning the Rumble trust me on that one. He is the betting favourite, I've been looking at the favourites before every ppv for the past year and not one single one of those betting favourites lost. If they were the betting favourite they won. Orton will win. Styles will lose at EC to someone and face Shane. Cena will face Joe. Kevin Owens will lose the title to Goldberg at Fastlane and then feud with Jericho. Let's be honest, Goldberg vs Lesnar is main eventing Mania and there is no point complaining now. Goldberg vs Lesnar will be for the Universal Title. Roman will face Taker. With Taker saying to Roman after "Roman, you da real Phenom."

I hope Orton doesnt win the rumble. Not becasuse I have a problem with him, but now so many people spoiled it for me that I am now expecting him to win. Damn I hate the betting thing.

Taker/Regins it it's current incarnation with Regins as a white meat baby face, Yeah ummm.....to quote AJ Styles own theme......

"I DON'T WANT NONE....YEAH I DON'T WANT NONE"

If THIS is the plan to get Roman over as a BABY-FACE...again as a heel it's different story perhaps the ONE the E needs if Roman is ever gonna be something they hang there hat on but as a baby face well then......

Current Mania lineup from the latest WON:

- Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal title

- Undertaker vs. Reigns. "It was noted to us that Vince McMahon had been wanting to make this match for some time. With Undertaker’s condition the way it is, this could have been the last chance to do it. There is the idea of a generational passing of the torch."

- HHH vs. Seth Rollins. "Obviously this could be in jeopardy right now."

- Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title

- Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens

- John Cena & Nikki Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse

- Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal

- Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Nia Jax vs. Sasha Banks for the women’s title

"The other match that is rumored that looks likely, but not confirmed is A.J. Styles vs. Shane McMahon."

Still no Ambrose on the card *sigh*. Guess he will be in that multi-man match after all I guess.
