WON: Current Mania lineup

From the recent WON...

"The Mania lineup at this point is looking like:

- Goldberg vs. Lesnar
- Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
- HHH vs. Seth Rollins
- Jericho vs. Owens
- Wyatt vs. Orton
- Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal
- Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax as the Raw women’s title match.

The key is the Rumble winner is likely, although they could swerve, to be the person who will challenge for either the Universal title or WWE title. The only Smackdown match on that list is Orton vs. Wyatt, and it’s not a secret that Wyatt was scheduled for a title run in 2017. That immediately puts both of them in contention, and if one wins, the other would be favored to win the Chamber match. There’s a story that just started going around about Orton winning the Rumble and Wyatt winning the Chamber match. If that doesn’t happen, it would be because plans changed. Even though historically the booking before Mania always gets out and it almost never changed (it changes for other reasons, such as injuries or guys quitting, but that’s usually known as well), with the increase in social media, my feeling is nothing is a lock until it happens. I doubt we’ll see major destination changes, in the sense the top of the card will probably be pretty close to as is slated now, but how to get there could change."

I find it really interesting that Orton/Wyatt is potentially the WWE title match, I hadn't even considered that an option. I have to say, I kinda love it. After all the crap they have put Bray though, he absolutely deserves to have a match high on the card.

Though, Orton winning the Rumble, then Bray winning the title at the Chamber, I am not as happy about. If it were me, I'd switch that up and have Bray win the Rumble and the the title at Mania with Randy getting the transitional reign inbetween.

Yes. They are going to have Taker lose again...as they should. Its not like he cannot have more than one loss. Hes already lost the streak. Theres not really that much of a difference between 1 or 2 losses.

Plus the undertaker lost to brock in order to build brock up as a mega ztar. The exact same aim will be in play with Reigns/Taker. Whether itll work with Reigns is another discussion entirely.

At the end of the day I just love that nothing is for sure and that the unpredictability is what's making this RTWM very interesting

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and take some of that card with a grain of salt.

In a way, Meltzer should be thanked, depending on your thoughts on that card. He publishes this, WWE sees it and loses their shit, and they might go ahead and change it all up.

I JUST WANT TAKER VS CENA, GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!!!!!!!! WHY IS HAVING THIS MATCH ASKING SO MUCH?!?

- Hey, Vince, how about that card:
Preshow
Breezango vs Lames&Lamebrose, career vs career
Bliss vs James Smackdown Women Title
Jobber Royale
Main card
Charlotte vs Asuka RAW Women Title
Neville vs Alexander Cruiserweights Title
Zayn vs Ziggler
Sheasaro vs Rusev&Mahal RAW Tag Title
Alpha vs Uso Smackdown Tag
Owens vs Jericho Universal and US Titles
Miz vs Nakamura IC Title
HHH vs Rollins
Goldberg vs Lesnar
Cena vs Taker
Wyatt vs Styles vs Orton WWE Title

- No goddamit, it's too good, where are my son and Shaq in this card? :vince3

- Hey, Vince, how about that card:
Preshow
Breezango vs Lames&Lamebrose, career vs career
Reigns and Ambrose losing a career vs career tag match against Breezango on the preshow of Mania 33? I swear if some of you folks had your way with booking you would run any wrestling promotion to the ground in a matter of months.

Reigns beating Undertaker will not get Reigns over, and will not make him any more important than he's already forced to be.

Oh well.

Yeah, lame, but I'm sure most WWE fans will just want to be "ENTERTAINED." I have a higher standard of quality myself.

AJ vs Shane seems likely, with it being a loser leaves Smackdown. Which means we'll see AJ lose to Shane, but if anything more than likely AJ will be getting the Universal Title soon after.

Really can't believe that aren't going to do Cena vs Taker when that would have been the best possible main event. Big stupid mistake there.

Styles has been wrestling cena and Ambrose since June. He has not faced anyone else on ppv since then so he needed to move away from those two

Either someone not on SD like taker wrestled styles (as Orton is doing his own thing with wyatts) or he wrestles Shane

Shane is a big match for anyone and will kill himself so I wouldn't worry about it that much even though technically it won't be great it should be a good stunt show

I like the idea of Wyatt winning the WWE title at EC. And Orton winning the rumble. Theirs a story their. So it's feasible. Reigns Taker? Surely it's going to be Taker Cena? And Goldberg Reigns? Looks like it's going to be Goldberg Lesnar at mania. Lord. I don't mind Styles Shane though. What's the big deal? Dress it up with a gimmick. Some high spots, be great.

Ever match on the last has been obvious except for Taker vs. Reigns and the Women’s 4 Way.

The Women’s match is something I guarantee that will change a few times. And as far as Taker vs. Reigns goes, unless Reigns is turning heel, it’s a complete waste of time. No Vince, Roman will not cheered. This will not be a passing of the torch kind of moment.

Fans will shit on it, just like last year. It will accomplish nothing, just like last year. And Vince will still be too stubborn to change, just like last year.

The last 2 Mania's have felt like a complete waste.

WM is all about the stories, with the main event being the biggest story of the year, instead of running with guys who can tell that story and get the fans behind them, they choose to put it on the company guy who isn't over and is booed out arenas. It's X-Pac heat, not big star heat.

The fans have rejected him, instead of realizing they are hurting their own product and pushing their fans away, they only push harder thinking they can convince us that this turd belongs at the top when all signs suggest he clearly does not.

They've invested it all on Roman and he's essentially killed the last 2 WM's and 2 Royal Rumbles.

This year looks no different unfortunately.

It does gotta suck for Kevin and AJ to do hard work as champions most of the year to not walk into WM as champion. Sure Kevin's reign hasn't been the best, but to have to sit and watch Roman once again main event WM...gotta sting. Then AJ potentially losing the title just to wrestle Shane? Again it's gotta sting.

The Roman Reigns vs Undertaker match seems like an act of desperation on Vince's part. It feels like he is pulling an emergency plan due to everything else failing and there being no viable options left when it comes to Roman. Really what match can they do with Roman at WrestleMania with the goal of getting Roman over and making him more accepted as the top guy of the company? There is truly NOTHING left.

Really, who is he going to face that would help them achieve that goal? Lesnar? Goldberg? Balor? He won't be cheered against those. Strowman? That won't help matters in any way. He may get cheered against him but so what? As soon as you put him against anyone else he'll get booed and rejected.

They have truly reached a dead end with Roman this time and they know it so that's why they are planning to do Undertaker thinking that at least the rub of beating him at WrestleMania will help things.

It won't work and Roman will continue to lose popularity as he has been doing over the last year. He isn't even the biggest YouTube draw anymore like he was before.
