WON: Current Mania lineup

From the recent WON...

"The Mania lineup at this point is looking like:

- Goldberg vs. Lesnar
- Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
- HHH vs. Seth Rollins
- Jericho vs. Owens
- Wyatt vs. Orton
- Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal
- Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax as the Raw women’s title match.

The key is the Rumble winner is likely, although they could swerve, to be the person who will challenge for either the Universal title or WWE title. The only Smackdown match on that list is Orton vs. Wyatt, and it’s not a secret that Wyatt was scheduled for a title run in 2017. That immediately puts both of them in contention, and if one wins, the other would be favored to win the Chamber match. There’s a story that just started going around about Orton winning the Rumble and Wyatt winning the Chamber match. If that doesn’t happen, it would be because plans changed. Even though historically the booking before Mania always gets out and it almost never changed (it changes for other reasons, such as injuries or guys quitting, but that’s usually known as well), with the increase in social media, my feeling is nothing is a lock until it happens. I doubt we’ll see major destination changes, in the sense the top of the card will probably be pretty close to as is slated now, but how to get there could change."

If this legit turns out to be the card then I'm glad I'm not going anymore. If Reigns doesn't turn heel then this program with Taker is probably going to do more damage than anything Reigns has done to date, especially if he wins because people are not going to like it. Goldberg/Lesnar is a waste of 2 spots imo. It does nothing for anybody other than Goldberg and Brock and I don't have a single fuck to give about them fighting each other. Goldberg can fuck off for all I care and there are much better options for Lesnar than wasting his time with this pointless shit. HHH/Rollins makes sense. I'm fine with that. The women's 4 way could be interesting so I'm fine with that too. Wyatt/Orton could be great or could fall victim to being dwarfed by the other matches on the card, especially if it's for the title. I don't care about Owens/Jericho so whatever. There's a real lack of SD presence which is a shame because they could do some really interesting pairings on the blue side of things. Alas we seem destined to watch poor AJ Styles get stuck with Shane for absolutely no fucking reason. Based on this there's no direction for Miz or Ambrose or Corbin or any of the guys who have been tearing it up on SD lately which indicates a multiman match I guess. Also no mention of the SD women which sucks. And the big one on what Cena will be doing.

Yeah. I didn't think it was possible for WWE to do worse than 32 but they seem right on track to do just that. The more I hear about Wrestlemania 33 the less interested I become.

Man, I was really hoping we'd get Balor/Taker or something like that. Scrapping Taker/Cena for Taker/Reigns is just underwhelming imo.

No SD guys figuring in yet probably because everything is up in the air, also depending on which show Samoa Joe goes to (I assume SD). I'd much rather we get an interpromotional match between Styles and Balor instead of Styles vs. McMahon and whatever Balor may be up to. Also rather have Show vs. Strowman instead of Shaq, but oh well.

That's one very crappy card if you ask me...

Unsurprisingly, SD gets shafted with 4 matches, none of which are big.

I can honestly say that I'd be much more interested in Cena-AJ IV than any match on that card.

NO CENA, AMBROSE, AJ - their No Mercy triple threat should have been here. Myopic scheduling - they should have Austin'd Cena (ran over him) if they saw that their triple threat was squandered by the Hillary-Donald Trump feud.

One of the worst Mania lineups ever. Really, is this the best WWE can give us? Royal Rumble 2017 > Wrestlemania 2017 by far. This lineup is a joke at this point.

Reigns will recieve the boos in his career when he even stands in the ring with taker. let the match aside.
for gods sake please let this not happen. taker wont gonna get him over just like ambrose, rollins, usos, banks & others have tried and failed this will likely fail. 99%

Orton vs Wyatt
Im looking forward to but its not gonna be for the WWE Title in my opinion. No chance in hell they giving the strap to wyatt this year.

Shaq vs Big Show & HHH vs Rollins
Im okay with these.

Jericho vs Owens
hopefully for the UT.

Goldberg vs Lesnar Main Event
Gonna be a pukefest for 5 minutes.

That means Taker wins the Rumble, Reigns UC Title, and then Taker instead of choosing the WWE Title goes for the Universal. The hate for Reigns would be iconic and this forum will go nuts.

Outside of Orton/Wyatt as one of the "confirmed" matches... what a shitty card.

I would rather see Shane vs Ambrose in a hardcore match and Cena/Styles 5 in some 3 stages of hell or iron man type scenario tbh.

I mean they could do

Cena vs Styles Iron Man/3 Stages of Hell

Ambrose vs Shane in a Street Fight

Miz vs Dolph vs Corbin vs Shelton vs Joe scramble IC title after Miz wins it back by cheating heading to mania. Shelton is still signed and may be healed by then

Alexa v Mickie v Nikki v Becky v Mella v Natalya first ever women's ladder match

Orton vs Wyatt

Usos and Alphas get a proper match for the first time

SDL holds its weight easy there for mania.

All it really takes is Cena wins at the rumble and in the chamber. Him and AJ become even and want to break the tie and end the rivalry at mania

Word is they well be doing a SD woman's card too. Four way of Alexa, Becky, Nikki, and Mickie for the SD Womans championship. Thats a shit cars tho. But I don't mind Styles Shane. I think some are pre judging it. If they give it a stipulation like no DQ. Weapons etc. Shane etc. I mean who cares if it's not a great in ring wrestling match. All the smarks care about that. Give me a gimmick match, with high spots. And I think Styles Shane we'll go down well. Card prob nerds Rock in the card. Taker Reigns is not inspiring stuff. For the title? Who knows. Orton Wyatt for the WWE title I can see. Styles and Cena don't need it imo.

It's the most ass backwards push of all time. It's like they're doing everything they possibly can to ensure he gets the opposite reaction they want him to. Madness.

I may be in the minority but I'm all for Undertaker vs Reigns, especially if it leads to Reigns' heel turn. Takers name carries serious weight and Roman turning heel against him to win will send a totally different vibe than him turning on Dean, Seth, AJ, etc. It'll stave off the edgy smarks who cheer heels in order to prove how they're too smart to be worked for awhile. I have no doubt the arena will be wide awake because as much as we claim to dislike Roman, there's a reason a lot of you can't stop discussing what he will or will not be doing come April. This company may have forced him but they've hooked you and like a coke head, you're constantly looking for your next fix.
If it leads to a heel turn then I don't think too many people will have a problem with it. The main reason people have a problem with it is because doing a face vs. face program between the two is going to be an absolute trainwreck. Your entire last point is a load of shit. The issue is WWE once again forcing a narrative that is fucking dumb as hell and doesn't work and it's going to reach its peak if they try to do this crap against The Undertaker. It's not about WWE forcing anybody to watch. It's about WWE continuously acting like a stubborn fucktard and ruining the supposed premier part of their premier show because they ignorantly refuse to change a horribly miscast character - the MAIN character. Or that's what they want us to believe. Just because they have him go out there and tell us he's DA GUY doesn't mean it holds any water.

Part time Mania running wild

This may be just his educated guess but I don't think it's too far off what we will end up getting along with AJ/Shane and I still think Cena/Ambrose maybe.

It's just so depressing that they go so far out of their way to not give the fans what they want. I mean if those are really your top 4 matches and AJ gets stuck with Shane after the hear he had, just really hard to get excited.

I must be the only one who has no issues to Styles Shane, its wrestlemania for hecks sake. Was Rock Hogan a great wrestling match? Technically no? But it's one of the great matches in mania history. The card overall sucks. But the matches in theory are not bad. I mean it is all dependant on the rumble. We well get a fairer idea of how the mania card shapes up, after the winner of the rumble is revealed. Until then, its just speculation really.

Now, lets assume for the sake of argument that whey will have Bray Wyatt in a title program at Wrestlemania :)booklel).

You have a choice there: give either Wyatt or Orton the Rumble, and the other one the Elimination Chamber, and you give Orton a second Rumble win instead of using it to cement Wyatt as a big time player? What kind of ass backward booking is that?

It would be kinda funny if they do Taker/Reigns and don't actually turn Roman. The hate and vitriol for this match would be unprecedented and rightfully so.

But it's the exact thing they do these days, let's take a lame face who can't get over and put him against the most beloved guy we have and not have a heel in the feud. That should get over. Yeah.
