When do people think those matches should have happened

E.g rock and Austin singles matches at 15 and 17 are bigger than triple threats with hhh added for sure

Piper and Hogan instead of Hogan and Bundy at mania 2 is a given

Hogan and warrior 2 in 1991 instead of slaughter and hogan

Hogan vs Bret hart at mania 9 instead of Bret and Yoko

Bret and Shawn 2 at mania 13 instead of taker vs Sid (though Bret and Austin in that show is historically important)

Hhh vs rock at mania 2000 instead of four way crap

You could argue Hogan vs austin is a bigger money match than rock vs hogan in 2002 but its a bit pedantic

Lesnar vs Austin at mania 19 instead of lesnar and angle

Punk vs cena at mania 27 instead of Miz

Bryan vs lesnar at mania 31 instead of reigns and lesnar

The most obvious answer is

5 Biggest Singles match

1. Stone Cold vs Hulk Hogan between 1998 and 2003, it could still have happened around 2005 if done properly
2. John Cena vs The Undertaker if this match would have taken place before Takers loss to Lesnar, this would have been a match for the ages.
3. Stone Cold vs Goldberg ca 1998-1999
The Ultimate Warrior vs The Undertaker say 1992
4. Tie between Hulk Hogan vs Bret Hard ca 1993-1994 or Ultimate Warrior vs Goldberg ca 1999, both matches would have been awesome if built right.
5. Stone Cold vs Brock Lesnar

5 Biggest Tag-Team Matches
1. Blade Runners vs Mega Powers from ca 1990
2. Demolition vs Legion of Doom
3. Legion of Doom vs Steiner Brothers
4. Austin, Rock & Foley vs Hogan, Hall & Nash
5. British Bulldogs vs Brain Busters - With Bulldogs being insanely

Biggest Triple Threat Matches

1. Hogan vs Savage vs Warrior (1990's)
2. HHH vs The Rock vs Stone Cold (AE)
3. Undertaker vs Sting vs Kane
4. Cena vs Undertaker vs Lesnar
5. Bret vs Angle vs Chris Benoit ca 2000

I like all your choices

I'm sorry for being ignorant but why is Rock vs HBK such a must see match?
I agree, while if it had the proper built towards a WM it would have been cool. But still, the matches I ranked are bigger. Don't get me wrong HBK vs The Rock would be huge. Bigger than any WM mathc HBK has been invovled in almost. But not as huge as my picks.

Heck even Bret vs Angle would have been as huge

Is any match with AJ a "money match"? Dream match sure but not money match. Excpt for mybe HBK.

The Haitch sees ITT many marks are simply posting their "favorite" dream matches-uhh, instead of posting those matches that would actually bring in the most money.
:tripsscust

For example, The Haitch loves Shawn but he was never as big a draw as The Haitch or Rocky.
There's no way Rocky vs Shawn would be a big money match-uhh. A spectacular match, no doubt, but won't bring in as much money as Rocky's other matches.

Same goes for Hogan vs Austin. There's no way a washed up Austin of 2002, who struggled against Hall, would make big money with Hogan. The match that you got in 2002, was the best that could've happened, as it was an Icon vs Icon match that was supposed to feature the two biggest names ever in this business. Two guys like Rocky and Hogan who had transcended the industry, unlike guys like Austin or Cena, who were big only within the business, thanks to the superman push they received-uhh.

Anyhow.... here's The Haitch's objective list of big money matches:

1. The Haitch (heel champion) vs Rocky (face) vs Austin (tweener) in a Good-Bad-Ugly type Mexican Standoff triple threat match.
The biggest match that never happened during the Attitude Era. The Haitch would retain obviously.

2. Rocky vs Brock.
Biggest PPV draw in WWE vs biggest PPV draw in UFC. Maximum money guaranteed.

3. Rocky vs Batista.
People underrate Big Dave as a draw. He drew 1 Million+ PPV buys with The Haitch at Mania 21. The Mania that went Hollywood-uhh and was the biggest drawing Mania until TrumpaMania 23. In this match you have two of the biggest names in this business, who also made big money in Hollywood. This match could happen is a variety of manners. Both could be faces, both could be Hollywood sellouts, or any permutation-uhh and combination-uhh possible.

4. DX (The Haitch and Shawn) vs The Outsiders (Hall and Nash).
The closest that you marks could get to a DX vs nWo match. Hogan wouldn't work this match for obvious reasons-uhh. But you would get to see DX fucking going over to prove their superiority. Nobody sold as much merch as DX and nWo. This match would be a money machine, with the audience giving the stadium a Green, Black and White look.

5. Goldberg vs Austin.
This match would be bowling shoe ugly, but the hype surrounding it would be awesome. Two bad motherfucking bald guys with goaties and black undies fighting each other in a brawl. Toughest son of a bitch from WWE going against toughest son of a bitch from WCW. This match would make big money in the late 90s.

Honorable mentions:
Taker vs Sting.
Cena vs Hogan.

As much as I love both wrestlers, especially Da Warrior. In 1990. Sting was nowhere near as big Warrior was. WCW did not have massive buyrates, Sting was big in WCW and outisde WWF to some extent, but he was by no means any big in 1990 in order to become one of the top 5 WM matches that never took place.

Fun thread. To change it up a bit though I'll focus on what we can still see(in theory):

1. Undertaker vs Cena (self explanatory)
2. Lesnar vs Nakamura (maybe not "big money" but I'd love to see it)
3. Bryan vs Miz (obviously depends on whether they allow Bryan to compete one last time)
4. Cena vs Reigns (love them or hate them this would be big)
5. New Day vs The Elite OR Omega and Anderson/Gallows (for shits and giggles)

I see people put Brock vs Bryan and Punk vs Bryan:

CM Punk acknowledged in his DVD that WWE wanted him to challenge Daniel Bryan for the United States Championship at WM 27. Punk declined it. Regarding Brock, Bryan was supposed to drop the title to him at Summerslam 2014. Even if he was healthy afterwards I don't think there would have been a rematch at WM 31, and I don't even think vocal fans would've demanded it.

For people who are saying Austin vs Hogan, when could WWE have pulled this match off?

In 2002, WWE had to do Rock vs Hogan because:

A). Rock was still hot, whereas Austin was recovering from the failed heel turn.
B). Rock was younger, which made the passing of the torch moment more meaningful.
C). Rock had the right gimmick to help Hogan turn face at the match's end.

So 2002 is out.

Now 2003? Austin was done, and he couldn't have wrestled his last match against Hogan.

So when do you figure WWE could have done Austin vs Hogan?

I thought the CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan happened like eight or nine times between January 2010 to October 2014...

That was the time when I couldn't watch WWE shows and PPVs because of external reasons.

Ups, sorry now I read WRESTLEMANIA...

Sting vs The Undertaker
HBK vs The Rock
Cm Punk vs Stone Cold
NWO vs DX

The first match up that comes to my mind is Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan

Other picks:
John Cena vs Edge (instead of Triple H)
John Cena vs Batista (1vs1 - FOTCvs FOTC, loser turns heel)
John Cena vs Undertaker
Undertaker vs Sting

Hogan vs Bret
Hogan vs Austin
Rock vs Brock

And other matchups that inolved ex wrestlers that were big draws against stars from other era: Cena vs Hogan, Austin vs Punk, Austin vs Cena...
