I realize he just passed away but unless I am mistaken, did he not kill his girlfriend back in the day? Was he not in the process of going to court again?
In all honesty, i didn't know anything about the allegations of him killing his girlfriend until it was on the news a couple of months ago, when they were looking into it again and filling charges against him...my opinion is...MURDER IS NEVER OK!!! No matter who you are
I still can't get my head around the Chris Benoit situation...i was never a fan, but he was a great wrestler, and from what i've heard/read he was a really nice guy...that being said, he did what he did for whatever reason and i can't condone it
If he wanted to end his life...fine...but to take your wife and son too...dispicable!
Except in this instance, his charges were thrown out purely because his mental state had deteriorated. He shouldn't get a free pass for killing a woman, just because it was decided he'd recently lost his mind. That evidence was damn conclusive against him.
Disrespectful punk? So Charles mansons kids should pay their respects when he dies? Even if he killed several people? You support a murderer? That shows your class
The court threw the case out, because he was unfit I believe. With him dying I guess that was a logical call ???
Well all we have are rumors and no official convictions or police rulings. I'm sure some will rush to say we should condemn him as we do Benoit. Which I think is ridiculous because killing kids > killing a spouse/girlfriend. But regardless I don't really care either way. Snuka is waaaaay way past my years. My only real dealings of him are watching people pay tribute to that splash of the cage and the time Jericho was beating up legends.
I'm not tore up he died because I've never watched a match of his, and I don't really care about how his alleged murder because I don't care about him in the first place. With Benoit I was a fan and always read about how he was such a good guy. So for Benoit his transgressions were damn. With Snuka's alleged transgressions I don't know if he did it, and don't really care.
But his possible murder didn't do massive irreparable damage to the industry. So ultimately if he did kill that lady it doesn't really matter because, Snukas's time has long been up.
If folk don't personally fuck with him do to those allegations I get it. But I'm not a fan either way.

Its why I'm struggling to eulogise him in all honesty. What he was extremely likely to have done to the woman will overshadow everything he did in wrestling.
Regardless if he did it or not you can't take away the fact that he was a great asset to the sport of wrestling and arguably one of the most entertaining guys of his time.
Benoit murdered himself and his entire family however I still to this day think he's one of the best in ring performers of all time...nothing outside the wrestling world can sway that opinion.
I wasn't invested in his TV character, so to me it's no different to reading one of the thousands of articles about so-and-so who may have killed someone I don't know.
What I do know about him is that a lot of people I am invested in look up to his accomplishments in the ring.
If I heard Stone Cold was rumoured to have done something terrible (he's no saint btw), I wouldn't care about that. It's unrelated to my enjoyment of his work.
Same as famous musicians who die from drug overdoses or something. I still enjoy their music.
People love to display how compassionate and emotional they are to the world, but I'm not like that. I don't want society to collectively agree to allow criminals to shirk responsibility either, but nobody is worshipping the guy. All I've seen, at best, is a polite show of respect for his contribution to sports entertainment.
No-one is ignoring it but it doesn't really matter imo. also, lol at many people saying "oh i have no sympathy for him" like if he fucking cares or wants your shitty sympathy. The man is dead so WWE and the fans are honoring his wrestling career, that's it.
Why not ? People have been ignoring this so called murder for years. I didn't hear about it until a few years ago. No one knows what happen. NO ONE! But him and her.
There's a thread filled to the brim with L's on this same page & even a Rant about this that somehow included Michael F'N Jackson. If that's what constitutes being"ignored" then yes, it is.
He's dead. So yes, there's no point in dwelling on what he may or may not have done while he was alive. I have much better things to focus my attention on; but if that's all you've got to do, then by all means knock yourselves out. Jesus H, I don't think even Saddam got this much attention when he croaked.
