Former WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix is expected to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year during WrestleMania 33 weekend in Orlando, according to PWInsider.

Phoenix is a one-time WWE Divas Champion and a three-time WWE Women's Champion. She also won the Slammy Award for Diva of the Year in 2008. She retired in the fall of 2012 and married WWE Hall of Famer Edge in 2016. They have two daughters - Lyric Rose Copeland, born in December 2013, and Ruby Ever Copeland, born in May 2016.
WWE has already announced Kurt Angle as this year's Hall of Fame headliner but no other names have been confirmed. Rumored names include Diamond Dallas Page, William Regal, Rick Rude, Christian, Mike Rotunda (Irwin R. Schyster) and The Natural Disasters - John Tenta (Earthquake) and Fred Ottman (Typhoon).

I guess I'm O.K. with this. It just bothers me that the three biggest female names in WWF/WWE history(Miss Elizabeth, Chyna and Sable) have all been snubbed again.

Re: Beth Phoenix rumored for HOF

WTF they really are putting anyone in now.

I honestly think Jacqueline was just put in because they wanted to put in someone black to show they are progressive. I wouldn't mind Beth getting put in years from now but she never did anything that great for it to be this early.

This is how I feel as well.

I like Beth and have nothing against her but Luna Vachon, Chyna, Ivory and Miss Elizabeth are just a few names that deserve more consideration than her. But it's not as if entry into the HOF is always based on merit.

Seriously, fuck the haters.
Some of you people are disrespectful as fuck, it's not a race of who gets in, sure Molly, Nakano, Victoria should get in, and they will, each at their own time, many worse are in HOF, many worse will be.
Kayfabe speaking, she deserves the HOF, She has one of the longest Divas title reign ever, 3 Women Championship title reign all a good length of time, more than one WM match, Slammy Award Winner.
She's got victories over everyone from Victoria, Mickie, Melina, McCool, Maryse, Kelly Kelly, Eve, AJ and any relevant diva of 2007-2013.
Entered the Rumble and eliminated Great Khali.
In OVW, she was part of the first ever women ladder match in the company.
She's got an amateur wrestling background, she was a champion actually.

As if everyone who's gotten in left an impact :beckylol

and on talent alone? few if any were better.

Congrats to Beth but I do feel there are plenty of others who should have gotten in before her like Sable, Chyna, Miss Elizabeth, Ivory, Mickie James, Victoria etc.

I mean Beth's era wasn't that long ago and is seen as the dark days of the Women's Division. Not saying she doesn't deserve to go in, she does, there are just so many better candidates right now who deserve to go in first.

Since there seems to be problems with Chyna, Miss Elizabeth, probably Sable and with Mickie and Victoria still wrestling, I'd say Ivory should've been inducted in this year.

Everyone is gonna get in.
I'm willing to bet in 5 years Cameron from the funkadactayls is gonna be inducted, and we will hear about how she had such a great career and how she was a ground breaking athlete

Can't wait for Kelly Kelly to go in next year

Re: Beth Phoenix rumored for HOF

I don't get the "Why is X going in before Y thing" it's not like if they don't get in after a certain amount of years they're ineligible.

Plus you got to remember there's a tier system to the inductees. Somebody like Chyna, Owen, and Rick Rude can be saved for a year where they're light on big names. Plus you don't want a dead person ever year, that's sad.

Not to mention with Sable is married to Brock. On top of not wanting to remind folk of the Playboy year's, she might not go in until the same year as Brock because he's not doing 2 induction years :lmao

I'm fine with this. She deserves it. She had the misfortune of being around during the wrong time. She'd fit right in with the current era of women imo.

Although I'd prefer that Victoria, or Ivory, or Molly Holly, Bull Nakano, Luna, etc got in first. It seems like WWE is fixated on the more recent ones.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mickie James or AJ Lee got in before all of the as well at this point.

Sable isn't going in because apperantly she doesn't want anything to do with wrestling these days.

Miss Elizabeth, Chyna, Luna aren't going in this year because they don't want too many dead people going in at the one time (Rick Rude is rumoured for this year).

Though I think it would of made more sense for Ivory, Molly Holly, Victoria or heck even Stacy and Torrie than Phoenix, way to early for her imo.

Re: Beth Phoenix rumored for HOF

Nothing against Beth, as she eventually deserves to be in, but Ivory, Jacqueline both should be in before her.

As far as Chyna, I don't want to see it. Not because she didn't deserve it but because HHH and Stephanie waited until she was dead in order to do it. Chyna wanted it for years and she never got the call, it would be total bullshit for her to get in posthumously - where HHH and Stephanie can pretend they gave one damn about her.

Re: Beth Phoenix rumored for HOF

I mean I enjoyed her career from OVW to the Divas of Doom, but I do think its too soon. I always thought she'd eventually go in.

There will come a time where they'll have to start putting more current folks in, because I doubt they'll be stopping the cash cow the HOF is anytime soon.

As for others I believe should be in before:

Chyna - I'm doubting she'll ever go in, there were a few times she attempted but failed. Inducting her now she's dead will cause such a shit storm.

Elizabeth & Luna - I put these 2 together because they both fall into the posthumous category. The E always limit the amount of deceased peeps and with quite a few bigger names (a number that will rise in the coming years) their time may be a while away.

Bull Nakano - they like to have a Japan rep every year, and one woman. They could kill 2 birds with one stone with this one. Her career speaks for itself.

Sable - Shes been asked many times to enter, and she always shuts them down. The day might come where she changes her mind (Bret, Warrior, Bruno, Mr t did), but she's has since cut ties with the wrestling business.

Ivory & Molly - Their tenures in WWE were quite brief compared to others (there have been more than a few these days that have surpassed or close to a decade). But they contributed in a crazy era. 2 very fine talented wrestlers, that dont really get the mentions they should.

Victoria- She put in 9 years in the E (including her time in development), at the time it was a crazy amount of time. As far as I'm concerned she's the finest female talent WWE ever developed. If Trish and Lita were 1&2, then Victoria was certainly 3rd. She was always the go to woman for secondary feuds and could always step in as a challenger for the gold. Her career dipped once she moved to Smackdown, but she was always the dangerous vicious vixen.

Leilani Kai - Only thing stopping her is, I doubt Vince would allow her a microphone. She'd likely shoot on Moolah.

Mickie James - She'll go in once her current Stint is over no doubt.

I think Natalya will be the one to induct her, she regularly posts stuff on Instagram as a #throwback to their DOD days.

I agree with all these names, I just don't see the problem of inducting someone first if they were eventually going to go in. I mean, of the guys that rare in already, did they deserve to go in before Undertaker? before Macho Man? I just don't see the issue, they'll go in eventually, and Beth was literally carrying the division around her time, had significant kayfabe accomplishments, gave many women their best matches, competed in Table + I Quit +ladder matches, and during a time where the division was dead to the crowd, she was one of the few who could get a reaction out of them by doing an incredible feat of strength like the double backbreaker to Mickie/Melina, her carrying Santino regularly, her using her submission to break the other women in half ( like having Melina hit her head with her own boot), her match vs Kelly in Buffalo..
