Taker was so cringeworthy on the mic during the AE
AE**** (Damn you Cena)
I've been going through the network in order and I've found a huge flaw in the beloved Undertaker (other than American Badass).
This has nothing to do with his in ring performance, he is def an all time great there.
In the era before the AE, he kept it short and sweet or Paul did most of the talking.
Around 99 they gave him the mics more and it is so so so so so bad.
I think he saw Rock and Austin getting over with their genuine bad assness and decided to try and force it.
Always going overboard on being a tough guy.
Never clever and never really got anything over in an era of catchphrases.
He told this weird 5 minute story about Big Show wanting to stab him in the desert and walking through Death Valley carrying a Harley on his shoulder.
It was terrible.
It was Bob Holly trying to get people to call him "The Big Shot" level of terrible.
He started doing a lot of commentary when him and Show were champs and you could just feel JR and Jerry trying to step around the awkward fake bad ass stuff he was saying.
Is he one of the only people to be a complete and total legend, a top 10 all time great, universally loved, despite being god awful on the mic?
