Synopsis:

A deadly psychological thriller that follows two soldiers pinned down by an Iraqi sniper, with nothing but a crumbling wall between them. Their fight becomes as much a battle of will and wits as it is of lethally accurate marksmanship. Directed by Doug Liman, “The Wall” stars Aaron Taylor Johnson and WWE star John Cena, and is written by first-time screenwriter Dwain Worrell from his Black List script. “The Wall" is produced by Amazon Studios.

For some reason I thought "the Wall" was that Matt Damon fights dragons at the Great Wall of China movie, which made me think Cena's in that too? Awesome. But now that I know it's another "John Cena plays soldier to continue living his dreams of being a fake US soldier" vehicle I don't really think I care.

Oh good, maybe he can get shot, then laugh at the sniper and do shitty comedy while no selling the bullet. I'm sure that'd go over great with the Academy Awards crowd.

Just checked out Liman and I knew I'd heard of him before: he has directed the Bourne Identity which essentially revamped the Hollywood action movie and Edge of Tomorrow which is so damn underrated.

How's he ended up on Amazon, aka, Netflix-lite? Working with Cena of all people?

Unless of course this is actually a really good movie. I'll give it a watch just because Liman is attached.

That's right John, you keep on making films, keep honing your skills, even the Rock took a little time to get warmed up in the movie business! Don't let anyone talk you out of making the films you want and your reality show! Oh yes Mr Cena just think of all the charity work you do with.. better movies in your belt! There's no need to think about WWE anymore, time to let that go and focus on what matters more in the main stream eyes, those films!
