"Bill Goldberg is reportedly in talks with the WWE about a potential return to the company, according to TMZ Sports. It states in the report that “the wheels are in motion” for his return.

Goldberg, who signed a deal with 2K to be on the cover of WWE 2K17, has not wrestled a match since WrestleMania 20 back in 2004 against Brock Lesnar. During SummerSlam week, Goldberg and Lesnar were cutting promos on each other, which has sparked speculation about a possible rematch between the two Superstars."

Wouldn't be against him having one more match just so his last ever match in his career isn't whatever the hell the Wrestlemania XX match turned out to be.

I think that was a pretty apt culmination of his WWE booking.

I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch at WM 33, where Lesnar gets booed out of the building again. Because let's face it, every star that wasn't on their shitty TV for a few years is more over than the whole roster.

That's probably also why Lesnar wouldn't agree to it.
Not a good idea bloodying a 50-year old hard way.

Goldberg in 2016 would still have a better Ring presence than 98% of WWE.

Obvious as hell since his announced return to WWE games.

It would be interesting too...
Goldberg vs Cena: As a mega face match with equal support for both like in the classic Hogan vs Warrior
Godberg vs Samoa Joe: A colossal clash between two mean bloody bastards
Goldberg vs Rusev: An epic street fight with some comical spots maybe...

Like with Kurt Angle I enjoyed Goldberg's WWE run in the past decade, that's why I wouldn't need his comeback. But if they already signed him...:shrug

I would love to see Goldberg again, always loved his intensity and look. However, I'm not sure how he would do in today's WWE where in ring ability is scrutinized so much. He's never been able to have a great match. However, that's basically all Lesnar has done the past 3 years so maybe it could work. I can see maybe one match, but nothing beyond that. Put him in the HOF, highlight his career and then send him on his way.

I'm very ambivalent on a Goldberg return. Would i mark out when his music hits? Yes i fucking will, no doubt, but at the same time, once that wears off, i'd be looking for him to look and be like how i remember him when he was in his pomp, even tho that wouldn't be the case.

I don't know what he really looks like now in terms of physique and conditioning, but i'd be apprehensive i have to say. 12 years is a long time since we last saw him near a wrestling ring and i wouldn't want him to be 'diluted down' from when i remembered him.

So yeah, i'm 50/50 on this TBH.

Speaking of 50...Goldberg is 49. Can he even take bumps anymore? :shrug

I would mark out when that Music hits, too. But then I'd realize this isn't the Old Goldberg. This is an OLD Goldberg. Then I will be sad. :(

Im really not even slightly interested in this...If he comes back, I kinda hope its against Brock so I can just ignore 1 program instead of two...

I think Brock and Goldberg could have a good match, their WM match was bad because neither guy wanted to be there, they was both leaving the next day and the crowd was shitting all over both guys and that pissed them off, that whole match was a recipe for disaster.

I'd love for him to come back just so he could spear Slater or someone as nasty as he did Christian

One of his best spears ever
