So...what's next for Roman Reigns?

A day ago, it seemed completely obvious that the direction going forward would be Reigns vs. Rollins for the new world title. In fact, it was the only feud you could put a lock on and say it will definitely happen. As it turned out, Reigns lost clean once again, and the title match is between Rollins and Finn Balor.

What do you think is Reigns's next program? US title feud? Kevin Owens? Nothing at all?

And please, no "who cares", "he sucks" and such comments. If you don't have anything meaningful to post, don't post it.

I really like him against Owens, but I can't see it. With the kind of heat Roman gets, it would make Owens the face. Owens already has to work to get boos, if fans got used to cheering him, it could ruin him as a heel and, AFAIK, he's never had to be a babyface.

He worked a very heelish match against Finn, I think heel against Sami would be great for them both. It would elevate Sami tremendously and give Roman a chance to get in the groove as a heel. The one thing I didn't like about the match with Finn was Reigns being a heel as soon as he stepped through the ropes, then shedding that as soon as he stepped out.

Yeah that just showed once again how confused Reigns' character is, the way they write his character is so inconsistent and contradictory. It never really commits to any given direction and is always doing 180s at every step of the way. The obvious and best path for him is going all in on that heel turn and then further down the road do a face turn.

The last thing Owens needs is to be fed to Roman. Id rather Jericho be the guy. Kevins just coming off looking great and protected despite losing his Zayn feud. The last thing he needs is to be eating a spear and losing yet another feud at A show PPV. Im already somewhat afraid on how theyre gonna book him later..

what I would do?

Three suggestions
He Becomes the Monster Heel He Was Always Meant To Be
Roman Reigns beats the crap out of Finn Balor next week on raw, injuring him OUT of summerslam. I would make him finally snap for real and letting it stick. I always say a heel turn needs to involve a really over babyface and i think taking out the hot young rookie in Balor would be glorious drama.

Let the Slow Fall From Grace and Rise to the Top Commence
I think Reigns career has officially begun tonight. This is the kind of weekend Reigns needed. Fans will now begin to slowly gravitate towards him and have sympathy. This is a much harder sell and will take a long time, but i think you give him one more loss at summerslam before you let him climb back up. Maybe Owens or Jericho.

Status Quo; Jericho? Owens?
The boring answer they go with....his character is what it is and he goes onto Summerslam and beats Owens or Jericho. And that's pretty much it. bleh

LOL. As beautiful as that would be. No. I know finn winning clean as a whistle tonight has put alot of positive feels into peoples heads.. but you gotta look at the bigger picture here. This is Reigns were talking about, in about a month or two he'll be back to where he was. 3 consecutive feud losses including one on a big list PPV is not a good look for a guy like Owens whos earning his shit. It would be a kick in the dick.

KO vs Roman would be awesome but neither guy can afford a loss, especially KO.

KO lost his feud against Cena, then lost his feud to Ambrose, then lost his IC title, then MITB, and now he's lost the blow off match of his feud against Sami Zayn. Him going over Roman would get him back on the right track but you can't have Roman keep losing either. This is the same guy that beat Triple H at Wrestlemania a couple of months ago, him losing a couple of matches against Rollins/Ambrose/Balor wouldn't hurt him all that much since he's already a established main eventer but if this becomes a routine and he keeps on losing then they need to give him a superman push again to build him back up.

I'm all for KO vs Reigns but the loser of their feud would have a hard time getting back to the main event scene.

Vs Kevin Owens.

I've said it before, I like and HATE this feud because I like both guys and want them both to succeed but Reigns cannot get any more losses for the time being, he has to remain a big deal to defeat. At the same time, Owens really can't lose any matches either he needs to be built up as a credible heel threat. So perhaps if they go this route, get Owens a dirty win here and there. And have Reigns close the feud with a clean win at the end.

What I'd like to see is have Stephanie talk trash to Roman again. Have her keep calling him a loser, embarrassment. etc. Steph saying that drafting him to Raw was a huge mistake. Have her really get his head and piss him off. Maybe have him snap and finally turn heel. They could do some lame storyline like having Steph hand pick an opponent for SS and if he loses he had to go to SD.

I don't care, as long as he stays out of the main event
