WWE has done a great job booking the Shield

No doubt about it.

2 years after they broke up - Reigns has headlined like 10 PPV's in a row, Rollins was a champion for months and never lost it, and now they just made Ambrose look big time since his WM loss to Lesner.

In terms of WWE booking "stars" they have done a good job actually with the Shield. Other talents stuck in midcard level has been 50/50 - but if they keep pushing the Shield - they have guys who can probably wrestle at a high level over the next 10 years and that's not a bad thing for WWE.

Plus, the top guys they have right now w/ The Shield members all seem to love wrestling/do it full time/are very passionate about it (I think Ambrose hasn't taken longer than a 6 day break since coming to WWE) so It's good to see passionate guys being rewarded.

This also proves that guys stuck in 50/50 booking can get a push quickly and become the top guy at the company so don't give up on any midcard wrestler you really like. Ambrose before WM was basically losing a ton of feuds, losing a ton of matches, not even holding a belt very long since Shield broke up, took pins from Reigns multiple times, etc.... but when you have a guy people LIKE - just 2-3 months of winning/solid booking can get a guy booked as a legitimate star QUICKLY.

Now It's time to see what the brand split can do as each brand does have some great talent - and a overall very healthy roster. No excuses right now from WWE!

Couldn't agree more. I'm not into the whole main event scene at all. Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose can all fuck right off. Just go back to Cena ffs. At least we can watch a wrestler break a record and then turn the belt over to Styles. He's a damn good heel and is very solid in the ring. By that time there should be more free agents and call ups to fill the mid card while the current group is elevated. Bam. Whole new scene right there. If only we could fire the writers and almost all the announcers then we'd be in business.

Depends on how you want to look at it, and in what period of time. Have they all been made into top guys? Yes, in kayfabe terms, they are all 100% stars at this point. However, in terms of booking since the three split, that's not necessarily true. Rollins, while he was pretty good with the MITB briefcase, was portrayed and booked absolutely horribly as champion, and his momentum was pretty much dead when he got injured. Ambrose, was never even close to being a top guy for large periods since the split, and has only really hit that level in the last 3-4 months or so.

Reigns, while he did get the superpush of the three, clearly was not doing well in that role, he wasn't suited to it, and the fan reactions proved it. While they showered him with kayfabe accomplishments, they gradually ruined his chances of ever actually getting over with the crowds as a face.

That said, since Mania, i'll say that they've done a good job of booking all three of them. Roman hasn't been quite as over protected and has had some good feuds, Ambrose has been elevated and booked much more like a star, and Rollins has shown a much more aggressive attitude since returning at Extreme Rules too.

They booked them excellent when they were together, but since their split they didn't really do a good job booking them individually!

Especially with Roman, they did such a terrible job booking him that whatever he does now won't get him over, and it's not even his fault. There is nothing Roman can or could do about the reaction he's getting. They gave him this superman push and basically tried to make a Cena 2.0 out of him when clearly the guy is not the type to crack jokes and smile and give fist bumps to people! I'm not saying they should've turned Roman heel but they should've kept his personality the way it was when he was in the shield.

Problem is they wanted him to be exactly like Cena and it failed miserably! If they gave Brock Lesnar the same stupid scripts and lines like sufferin succotash and such he would've been getting booed too. Roman should've been booked as a monster that runs through everyone similar to Goldberg and Brock Lesnar, that's what got him over in the first place when he was in the Shield, or they simply could've had him join the authority instead of Seth because Seth is a genuine babyface not a heel.

Ambrose's booking was good when they first split until he started losing every feud he had for a whole year and then they had to rebuild him and start pushing him again just so he can get squashed by Brock Lesnar. No one was expecting him to win but the way he lost just killed all his momentum heading into Wrestlemania.

They've only started to book all three better than before in the last couple of months. It took them two years but it seems like they've finally realized how they should book the three of them.

They had no choice to push them like they have really, and one can argue anyone would have gotten over with the way they were booked as a unit and the way they are being pushed now.

Though I'm not the biggest fan.

I'm happy Rollins and Ambrose are over, and I hope they can at least start booking Roman correctly now that's he back. Cause lord the WWE needs more main eventers.

Though I wish WWE would spent more time elevating Owens, Rusev and such as well. (This is why I wished Owens, and Rusev were on Smackdown)

The cream always rises to the top. I love all three. I wish their characters would receive the necessary tweaks, but what WWE seems to be doing is working for 2 out of the 3.

I mean, in a way, I get what you mean. They've all been built up as main eventers, so good on them.

However, the roles that they're in are completely wrong. The guy with the most heel heat is the mega-babyface, the most natural babyface is the heel, and the dangerously unpredictable one is cracking stupid jokes.

Things simply won't be right until all three guys are allowed to work the roles that they'd obviously thrive in.
