Which match was better, Cena vs. Rock at WM29 or Reigns vs. Triple H at WM32?

Both matches have a few things in common, like both, The Rock and Triple H winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble that year and holding it for 70 days before losing it to Cena/Reigns at WM.

To me, Roman Reigns vs. Triple H at WM32 was a lot better than John Cena vs. The Rock at WM29. Cena vs. Rock had too many finishers.

Which match did you think was better, Cena vs. Rock at WM29 or Reigns vs. Triple H at WM32?

Lol well both were bad. But If I had to pick Cena Rock. IT was two generations. Had better psychology. And it diddn't feel like Rock was being elevated above the roster. HE was just passing the torch, or whatever. Funny you say too many finishers. As that has been the main critisim of Reigns Styles, too many finishers. Triple H Reigns was just a bad WM main event imo. Rock Cena felt epic.

Easily Rock v Cena. The match wasn't that great but I enjoyed the build-up and promo's.
+ It was kind of a fantasy match.

I’d say Cena vs. Rock at 29. I didn’t want to see the match again. Plenty of people felt the same. But, I can at least say it had one cool moment where they did a call back to their match at 28. At 28, Cena cost himself because he mocked The Rock’s People’s Elbow that lead to him getting pinned. Here, Cena did the same thing but he did it on purpose to lure Rock into a trap. That was a cool moment. But other than that it was just a finisher spam to end the match.

So, by no means was it a good match. But Reigns vs. HHH was just so boring. Think about this, the main show went damn near 5 hours, with a 2 hour Pre Show. So, the show went really long. By the time Reigns vs. HHH started, counting the pre show, we were 6 hours and 15 minutes in the show.

And then they proceed to go out there to have a slow, boring match. It wasn’t just that it was a boring match. It was a boring match that went damn near 30 minutes. And the first half of the match, I was literally struggling not to fall asleep. I’m still amazed I didn’t. Couple that with a protagonist that people didn’t like and/or care about, it was just a disaster.

I'll say Reigns/HHH since I've actually been able to watch the entire match without fail.

It wouldn't matter if Cena and Rock had sat in the ring and played paper, rock, scissors and gave each other birthday spankings it would be better than HHH vs Reigns. Why? One had a big match atmosphere to it that isn't easy to create and the other was nothing more than a desperate attempt to get a guy over that the crowd has rejected.

In-ring:
Reigns > Cena

HHH > Rock

On the stick:
Cena > Reigns

Rock > HHH

The Rock can have a great match even when he has a bad match. His character can over overcome his recent wrestling flaws.

While no doubt HHH is not Rock's level, to say no one gave a fuck about Triple H is a stretch. I remember how hyped all my friends were Triple H won the title again, in fact they only gave a fuck about that and Shane o Mac coming back.

I think people care about Roman, just no one likes the dude. LOL

It's all relative. Both are unpopular WrestleMania main events that were supposed to be a big deal but didn't really deliver.

I have to go with Rock/Cena II as being better, but that's not me saying I think it was great or anything.

HHH/Reigns was boring and unmemorable. The only thing I really remember is the Stephanie spear.

Rock/Cena II, however, at least wrapped up a two year storyline and the crowd was... maybe not into it, but involved to some degree.

Cena vs Rock at 29 was a good match, just a lot of fans got butt-hurt because of Cena. Difference with the Reigns match is that match was just poor and the fans weren't behind it which was a real shame because I wanted so much to be into it but it just fell flat as you can see here...

Should change the title to 'Which match was worse', cause both matches were jack shit. But I'd pick Cena vs Rock over Reigns vs Trips anyday, because at least Cena Vs Rock felt iconic and the crowd actually had reactions to the match. Reigns vs Triple H was the first WM main-event that I have ever fell asleep while watching, it was easily one of the slowest and most boring WrestleMania matches of all time and muting the crowd didn't help keep me awake at all.
