What will happen with the womens division by a brand split

This topic is for the fans of the womens division:

The main question on this is what will be the best for the womens division. Will they keep them on one show or is the best way to split them? I am not really clear what will be the better...

1) Keep all on one show (can not utilize most of the women)
2) Split show (not all women compete for the single title)
3) Split show add tag titles (not all women will compete for the tag titles and no mixing tags when one of the main women get a break in the single run)
4) Split show add 2nd single title (not really in favor of another single title in the womens division and make one title weaker then the other)
5) Keep all on one show and add tag titles (will they get the time on the show to showcase themself to the max?)

With the roster they have it is too large to compete for a single title only (keep in mind I add injured);

Charlotte/Becky/Sasha/Paige/Dana/Emma/Natalya (somewhere this year add Bayley/Asuka) (I add Nikki Bella just in case)

Naomi/Summer Rae/Alicia Fox/Tamina/Maryse/Lana/Carmella/Eva Marie

NXT also still have some "potential" women which will be bumped in due time;

Alexa/Nia Jax/Athena/Nikki Storm (and I expect more indie women signings).

Interested in your point of view.

As I said it before the ideal scenario for me would be the women's championship headlining one of the shows.
Is not feminism, just that two main titles for guys is dumb.

They should keep all the women on Raw and dedicate at least one hour of the show to women's matches and story lines each week. This is assuming Raw stays 3 hours, which it looks like it's going to be.

Split the women, have two titles: the Women's Heavyweight Championship on RAW and the Women's Interconinental Championship on SmackDown. Having only one Women's belt would be stupid because since the superstar they're feuding with can't go on the other show, the champ pretty much has to stay on the show of the superstar they're feuding with until the feud's over. Unless you have the women exclusive to one show, but due to the relatively large women's roster, splitting them into RAW and SD makes sense.

This one is tough. No matter how many scenarios I play out there are serious downsides to all of them. I'm leaning more towards a split. If we are only getting fued that pretty much always has the champion in it right now, at least a split would highlight more than we get now. My preference is to see Charlotte and Bayley on Raw and Sasha and Becky on Smackdown. This at least creates room to showcase the Horsewomen whom we all know will rule the division for a long time to come. There's enough to spread across two divisions but it will be pretty thin. I'm willing to risk that to get two fields at a time showcased as opposed to the just one we get if the division is exclusive to one brand.

The current active roster isn't big enough to be split. Short of some miraculous injury recoveries, or a significant injection of new talent into the women's roster, there's no way you can effectively split the current roster.

Charlotte, Dana, Paige, Becky, Sasha, Nattie are all currently active(ish). Not sure how anyone can imagine this being split.

Naomi should be cleared to work again soon.

Summer, Eva, and Alicia are presumably around somewhere.

So what do you do to split the roster short of gutting the NXT women's division in the process?

I'd like to split them up, with each show having a women's title. Don't like the idea of cramming them all on 1 show because some of them might get left out if they're not feuding for the title. Also don't like having 1 Women's champion appearing on both shows because it's the same thing I've said about having 1 world champion, if they're feuding with someone from 1 show, what do they do on the other show? Better to just have 2 titles imo.

Woman's division will be fine.

Raw have

Bayley
Becky Lynch
Naomi
Lana
Natalya

Smackdown
Sasha Banks
Paige
Charlotte
Summer Rae
Alicia Foxx

If your not the champion and your not feuding for the championship you don't even get on tv anyway so only two in each division will be getting tv time. Just keep cycling through the different match ups for three month feuds

My guess would be to go logical.
What is the point of splitting up the Women's division across 2 different shows? That would just limit feuds and contenders.
The smart thing to do would be to put the women wrestlers
Charlotte
Natalya
Alicia Fox
Naomi
Tamina
Sasha Banks
Becky Lynch
Paige
Summer Rae
Emma
Dana Brooke all on one show.

The non female in ring competitors like Lana and Maryse on the other show to give the other show some female presence.

I also think WWE may add Women's Tag Team titles in the near future too which could be a new title for one show and I'm pretty confident WWE will introduce a new Cruiserweight title for the guys later this year also which could be the other new title on the other show.

That would make the most sense to me but I have a feeling they may spread all the women out across the shows.
I guess we shall see how this all pans out in the coming weeks.

If Raw is going to stay 3 hours, then I would make all of the women Raw Exclusive. With half the star power on the men side, you need something exclusive to them that can fill some segments. And the idea would be to run multiple women’s storyline at once. Would that work? Who knows but that would be my idea behind it.

I'd be interested in a short period of time where the Champion only defends on PPVs ( but can show up on either) and the weeks prior are built up with a division on each show. The #1 contender for each show competes in triple threat matches for the title at each PPV... although that could get pretty gimmicky.

On a side note, what if they've kept Sasha undefeated so she can be the Charlotte of Smackdown?

They should stay on one show. There's not many of them and that list is probably going to get even smaller. Nattie is 34, probably not going to be around much longer. Tamina is 38 and seems to be constantly injured. Nikki might never wrestle again. Most of the women aren't even used. They're largely jobbers with no buildup that just appear whenever somebody needs to look strong. Charlotte, Sasha, Bayley and maybe Dana (oh god) are the only ones that'll be long term relevant. I have my doubts that even the men's roster has enough depth for a split but with the women it's five times as bad.

Splitting them up would just be idiotic. The feuds and matches are limited enough. I also think separating them would really expose how weak the division actually is. Naomi, Summer, Sasha, Tamina, Dana and Paige are all mediocre wrestlers in my opinion. Summer, Dana and Sasha can compensate with fun heel work but Summer is never used outside of short matches, so she can't show it. Sasha is also currently a neutered, watered down babyface, leaving her with nothing over the other women.

Summer, Naomi, Alicia, and Emma can all work. You left Becky off your list who is the most polished female talent on the roster.

Eva can at least generate fucktons of heat (Her match with Bayley on NXT was brilliant from a storyline perspective)

Trish has gone on record to say that she would come back as a heel if it were done right. We have Maryse sitting in the dugout as an insurance policy as well. I'm sure there are a ton of other girls on speed dial if they merely needed to buff the numbers (Eve, AJ, Lita, Beth, Michelle), but I highly doubt they're anywhere near that level of desperation.

They also have tons of ready-to-go talent sitting in NXT (Asuka, Bayley, Alexa, Athena)

There's plenty of talent, it just needs to be utilized. Remember that any talent can be made relevant with a month of solid-consistent booking.

Well I read they are all going to SD. And if they don't split them up. Well it is prob going to benefit Charlotte and Sasha the most. Paige, Becky e.t.c. May suffer from it.

Split 'em up with one title.

Charlotte as champ can appear on each show depending on where she's needed. Sasha can primarily reign on Raw, Becky can rule Smackdown as the big faces of the women on that brand. Split the rest of them up (Paige is the only other one that remotely matters) any way you like. Dunno where Bayley goes in her probably soon-ish call up but that's how I do it.

There's a few different ways they could go, if they do just put them all on one brand then does that also include Lana and Maryse who are managers? Splitting them across both brands wouldn't be the worst thing ever, but the matches would get old quickly with so few Divas and only 2 at a time that WWE even push. There is though the possibility that it would force WWE to actually use and push the other women rather than just Charlotte and Sasha. Though I dont have any faith in WWE actually doing that, they'd just build up one chosen Diva on each brand and job everyone else out rather than building up a good division(s).
