WWE’s bloodletting may not be over. After cutting ties with over ten workers this month, there are rumblings of yet another release in the company. This is according to David Herro, who frequently books former WWE wrestlers on Great Lakes Championship Wrestling events.
He tweeted Tuesday afternoon, “Rumblings about another WWE release.. … #StayTuned .”
It was recently reported that another round of cuts was expected by people in the company by the end of the month.
Exciting. Talents leaving WWE is good for the overall health of the business. It's good for WWE too, the locker room needs cleaning out and refreshing sometimes.
I think they must keep with some kind of renovation this year which started with the awesome hirings of Styles, Nakamura, Anderson and Gallows, so go on.(Y)
I wouldn't be surprised. WWE literally has more people on the main roster than they know what to do with. They have enough TV time to use them all - but they don't have the brain cells..
To be fair WWE can easily break contracts if they want to, I'd imagine.
But if nothing else he's not going anywhere until after MITB since they're using him against Corbin and if memory serves the releases will probably be this Friday.
Likely candidates are Swagger (kill me), Konnor, Ryback, and maybe another diva...someone suggested Summer Rae which I doubt but I guess it's the most likely.
I have no issue with WWE thinning out the herd. For far too long we've seen heatless heels and DOA babyfaces sucking up screen time. I'd prefer it if we had a few less performers get a bit more time to build their characters.
YOur got rocks in your head if you think its Paige. Apart from her having contracts with WWE with some movies. She is the face of the division. Their Top merch seller. So that ain't happening. Be a lesser Diva. IF anything. Ryback probably :lol
He's going to be at MITB, so he's not being released by the end of this month.
Just admit it, our boy Swag is done. :mj2 It wouldn't suck so much if it didn't seem like recent releases are doing fuck all. None of them who were in the last wave of cuts are doing anything. Sadly, Swagger will be the same. I can't handle it, breh.
Gonna miss Swagger, a lot. It wouldn't be so upsetting if it didn't seem like he'd retire from wrestling altogether post-WWE. He made a comment about wanting to wrestle for another decade, but where would he even go?
Swagger would make a great gaijin in NJPW, imo. He's got the wrestling chops to go there and start working right away, and the size to look like a giant in that company. Pair him in a tag team with Michael Elgin and you'd have a hoss wrestling team...
It's either ADR, Ziggler, or Swagger on the men side and Paige, Summer, or Natalya on the women side. That's what I'm pretty forseeing at this point. More than like ADR and Natalya are done.
Question: was the tweet referring to just one release or another round of several releases? Cause if it's just one then that's already happened and it was of her on accord.
:mj2 Idk, I just don't want Swagger gone yet. Dude looked so hyped last week actually wrestling...always giving his all and it's just like him to do that despite his ending coming soon undoubtedly. :mj2
I hate to see anyone lose their jobs but maybe it's a good thing considering others wrestlers have quit as WWE is bad
