I have been noticing this for months now, WTF is up with the shitty camera work in the WWE now? It used to great but its like the have less cameras now and feels like just one camera is following the action. It must be Kevin Dunn trying somethign new. What ever it is, its awful. Whomever is running the cameras need to be fired.

IT makes the show unwatchable. It was even worse last night at the PPV than tonight, you are always missing so much of the action because the camera is panning too fast or its following the wrong action

Maybe did the opposite of what I requested, I said to fire all the staff and workers and get people who are passionate.....lately it feels they kept everyone who is a freaking lacky or lazy ass, and told them all to keep up the laziness...

Remember when McMahon was on TV, it felt like everyone was on their a-game. Before and since, seems like people went back to slacking off. I get it, slacking off at work, but dam at least try harder on RAW.

It was certainly worse than ever this weekend.
I don't understand why the cameramen are supposed to be reacting so OTT to the things they're shooting.
Yeah, I understand that Dunn wants that style of shooting, but what's the justification for it?

2 simple steps to fix WWE camerawork.

1. Literally 1 step back, away from the action.
2. Hold the fucking camera still.

It's amazing when you think about how much more professionally TNA, AAA, Lucha Underground and New Japan are actually shot, considering that WWE consider them all to be inferior in every way.

EVERY other promotion feels better than WWE when it comes to camera work. WWE might have the production value and their precious HD sets, but if you're making your viewers feel motion sickness, none of that much matters.

They started doing this in 2008 when they went to high definition. I believe they started doing it because in HD on some moves you could SEE how the guys weren't hitting each other.

Then from there it morphed into what we have today. The first time I personally saw this production technique was during the elimination chamber match in 2008.

When taker chokeslams mvp off the top of one of the pods the camera man zooms in quickly and then back out.

What they didn't do back then was shake the camera. Just a quick zoom in and out.

Today it's a total mess. I actually hate when guys go to the table outside now because the cameraman just fucking zooms and shakes and it's a total mess.

But i do like what they ORIGINALLY did after going HD. I felt that added to the product in a good way.

Oh that is the worst thing they do, I Hate shaky cam enough in movies, the last thing I want to do is see it on WWE Tv.

I understand that the angles in the video game are trying to mimic the product, but it's so annoying that it switches so much while I'm playing the game. The camera angle in Madden is nothing like the typical NFL angle but it's still the right angle for the game.

Maybe the game needs to make an angle that makes you feel like you're really in control of the wrestler and ditch trying to look like a broadcast.
the first time I do on the WWE games is turn off that camera BS and use the static camera. You can turn off all those camera effects

Yea ive been noticing how shit it has been lately, but this PPV they over did things which nearly got me motion sick. Such as moving the camera extremely fast between 2 guys when they are out near the commentators. Why move the camera between wrestlers when they are punching? they could have easily got the two in the one shot by literally just standing there and shooting the damn shot without moving the camera!

agreed 100%

I've been thinking this with all the recent Raws and PPVs. There are more cameras and better technicians working in the WWE than there were during the late 90s and early 00s and yet the quality of the camerawork has dropped drastically.

Maybe its due to a poor director?

Makes you wonder if the cameraman/men have to wear mics too and need to deal with Vince screaming down their ears too like the commentators, would definitely explain why they shake the camera :vince5

It's horrendous. Went to a Smackdown recently and it's just embarrassing to watch the cameramen performing advanced calisthenics and plyometrics to get the shot.

I just want to take Vince and Kevin Dunn and rub their faces in how shitty their camera movements are. It's unwatchable.
