Triple H Marginalized?

With this 'new' era starting, one of the rules is that you have to toss some stuff from the 'old' era in order to provide a contrast. When Hogan won the belt, Backlund became non-existant.

We are already starting to see Shane being moved into Hunter's place. Getting credit for bringing up new talent which HHH's baby created, he'll soon get credit for everything good that happens, whereas everything bad is on Vince and/or Stephanie. All the good stuff per development used to land on Stephanie/Triple H.

Obviously this is to setup a Shane/HHH match at SummerSlam, but perhaps they're going with a longer game with this. Is HHH largely becoming irrelevant in the current product so that we can get a Good McMahon/Bad McMahon setup? Something that may persist until Vince goes away and then Stephanie/HHH takes Vince's place as the bad McMahon?

This is just perfect WWE manipulation if you ask me. They did it years ago when they started the brand split and made Smackdown and Raw compete with each other. To the fans they might as well have been two different promotions with the way the were booked, the talent that they had, and the championships they possess. But in reality it all fell under the WWE banner so it didn't matter really, WWE benefitted from it. For years now people have been talking about how great Shane is, and saying that he needs to come back because WWE needs him. Well Shane did come back, and since his return fans have been praising him almost like everyone believes that Shane literally runs the show behind the scenes now. In reality WWE is still booked by the same creative team fans have been shitting on for years. There is no real difference but I guess people like Shane so they're willing to go with it because they like him so much.

As for Triple H. He's not being marginalized. It's just a plot by WWE to make Shane out to be the good guy. HHH should be given credit where credit is due. NXT is his baby, and he's responsible for why people like it so much, and he's responsible for the talent too. As always with Triple H, his storylines tend to be slow burners. He'll eventually resurface and confront Shane, but it looks like there current story is between Shane and Stephanie.

It's not the nineties anymore. He's just taking a deserved vacation, he will be there to support his wife months later when their feud will be more furious.

Him and Steph need some time part on screen. I'm not a fan of either, but this sibling dynamic is interesting to me at this point. Feels more real to me. We all know that these two are the only ones that will truly own the company someday. HHH might be right there but at the end of the day it will alway be Paul McMahon and not Stephiane Lavesque

He's where he needs to be right now. He doesn't need to be there all the time and the right descision (to some extent) has been made to give the Sibling Rivalry angle the correct focus.

He'll show up at some point, I can see a Shane VS HHH Summerslam match happen, possibly. Other than that they are doing the right thing by having him take a back seat and dandle Baby NXT on his Knee and make sure it's well maintained which is where, IMO, he needs to be.
