"As noted, Enzo Amore was injured during the opening match at Sunday’s Payback PPV event. Amore and Colin Cassady were wrestling The Vaudevillains in the tag team championship finals when Amore was sent head first into the ropes. It appears that he knocked himself out, and the match was called. Amore was stretchered out of the arena.
WWE later confirmed that Amore suffered a concussion and was released from the hospital late Sunday night.
Amore has been pulled from all WWE events until May 20th.
Bubba Ray Dudley commented on Amore’s injury via Twitter:
Glad to hear @WWEAaLLday21 is feeling better after his little boo-boo to his head. The Dudleys look forward to seein you again. ?
Enzo unfortunately has been hurt in his tag team match, was thrown into the ropes and his neck caught and snapped violently. this was not for on screen entertainment. he was motionless outside the ring. Match was called about three minutes in and he was stretchered to the back

Joe Randazzo sent this item. ... I'm at WWE Payback... I don't know what you guys are seeing on TV, but Enzo Amore was just stretchered out, on oxygen and a defibrillator. They were just performing CPR on him.

God fucking damnit. He's a breath of fresh air in this dire Tag team division. He and Cass could really revitalize that scene. Wrestling aside, I hope the guy's OK and recovers quickly.
Definitely wasn't Gotch's fault. Simon just went to throw Enzo through the ropes. Really looked like Enza simply lost his footing and fell through the ropes wrong. But definitely wasn't Gotch's fault.
Similar in some ways so yes, that's why accidents like this one are never funny situations, despite one poster in this thread not understanding that....
The thing is it seems there's no one to blame, since Gotch just tried to irishwhip him, and it ended very bad...
But honestly I don't think the commentator would be lying about his condition, to make everyone watch the PPV calm.
I know many ones like to see WWE as a big evil company, but there's a limit for me to those suspicions.
Don't blame him for the injury. Fault him for stupidly grabbing at and moving a hurt person in the same way I say Beth was stupid when she grabbed Candice Michelle and tried to drag her. That ref pulled him back, but he shouldn't have even moved him an inch
The fact he's talking and moving is a good sign, especially since it was so quickly after the initial injury. I just hope this isn't as serious as it appeared and he'll be okay.
You couldn't really tell what happened live. In the slow-mo, it looked to me like he took the rope right in his ribs and got some whiplash and then got knocked out when his head bounced in the floor. Hopefully he just got a concussion from bouncing off the floor and didn't injure his neck at all
That sucks for Enzo. He seemed to be really popular with the crowd, for someone who was just coming off of NXT. They literally knew his catchphrases word-for-word. While I'm still not a fan of the guy, that really shows his popularity. Hopefully for him, his momentum won't get killed if he has to take time off.
I hope his injury turns out to be nothing serious - but I can't pretend I'm gonna miss the guy, I just don't get him.
I'm sad and pissed and nervous, I liked this guy a lot since NXT and now this happens, but the worst is that it's a serious situation, Enzo could be paralyzed in the worst case scenario.
All I can say is that I hope Enzo fully recovers as quickly as possible. Prayers for Enzo. I could not watch the replay, I especially dislike watching injuries that involve the neck.
Hopefully he is OK. I think the Irish whip into a backslide to the outside will be looked at now as a risky move...
