i thought he was gonna win this year´s André battle royal and retired for good but nope and since then he´s been off TV im afraid Mark will retire very quietly like Christian and i feel he should be pushed just one list time and become the US champ or something but we all know that´s not gonna happen.
I hope they do something for his retirement. He is definitely washed up and has lost any sort of appeal he once had but you can't knock the work he's put in.
He gets hurt too easily (story of his career) he's a shitty talent, he got his last couple of runs with his Hall of Pain gimmick and fake retirement, now he's just collecting paychecks and awaiting retirement. I'm glad he could go out on a positive note though, fans will look back and think of his fake retirement or Hall of Pain stuff fondly, so that's good for him as he was a complete bust for this company since they signed him back in like '96 or whenever that was.
Gotta admire anyone that makes it for this long in the business. His time has passed but he can retire with his head held high. His career is nothing to be ashamed of.
It would've been nice for him to go out on a win in his home state for his career, but the business is supposed to be about pushing new talent. Corbin winning was the right call.
Henry, similar to Kane, is more interested in seeing real talent get recognised than any self-gain and seems to only wrestle on RAW/SD to push new talent. He probably does alot behind the scenes.
Henry deserved a WWE title run for his work from 2011 onwards. He was immensly watchable as a badass heel monster and other than Lesnar has been the only credible heel in a long time I can think of off the top of my head.
