I didn’t know which forum to put this under. I thought maybe wrestling multimedia but it seems like that’s just for links and not discussions.

I’m looking for programs that summarize or dissect Raw and maybe Smackdown and PPVs. Maybe some professional or experienced insight to behind the scenes stuff. A couple or few guys who just discuss the current happenings of the WWE.

I listen to LAW (Live Audio Wrestling) which has some guys named John Pollock, Wai Ting, and Court Bauer. They’re pretty good to listen to, but there’s only 2 shows a week and they’re only about an hour each. I also listened to PW torch before the rumble but it seems they haven’t done any more podcasts since then, which sucks as I really enjoyed the few shows I listened to.

I think the super popular ones are Stone Cold, Jim Ross, and Jericho. But it seems like they have a bunch of guests that I don’t know, so I’m not as interested. Maybe those guest give insight into the current business though?

Btw does anyone know if Jimmy Korderas is a regular on any program, besides the post Smackdown Sportsnet panel? I really like that guy’s views and comments.

I only listen to podcasts when there's guests that interest me, otherwise I don't listen to any podcasts these days. Sometimes I listen to WOR when Meltzer is on reporting on a hot topic but that's about it

Following podcasts on the regular is too time consuming

You won't generally see reviews or analyses at Stone Cold and Y2J podcasts, except maybe for big PPVs because they're more centered about wrestlers coming and telling their stories.

I regularly follow Bryan Alvarez's shows Wrestling Observer Radio with Dave Meltzer, WO Live with Mike Sempervive and Bryan & Vinny Show.

I follow The lapsed fan. One of the guys (Jack Encarnacao) is a guy i've listened to on Sherdog Radio for years which is how I initially found out about it.

Anyway, the podcast is usually event centered where they dedicate each episode to a special event (SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, Starrcade, etc) of yesteryear These podcasts are a bit longer (some up to 5 hours in length) but do provide some great analysis/explanations of what the business/environment was like and how that affected the events with lots of insightful tidbits of information that I wouldnt have known otherwise.

Tough to ingest it all at once considering the length, I usually break it down into sections/stopping points but its definitely fun for me to listen to.

PWTorch is always worth a listen.

Steve Austin's podcast is great when he does reviews of RAW and PPV's
but he does not do them with any regularity. So you will just have to keep an eye out for them.

Wrestlepod/The daily Squash used to be great with Ben Spindler, but sine his departure the quantity and quality of content has dropped drastically.

I know Sam Roberts gets a lot of flack but i personally find him and Katie Linendoll a very good listen, if you don't want anything to heavy and just want to listen to some fantasy booking and interesting theories and guests.

Youtube "shoots" (don't know what that is) sound ok. I'm looking for things to put on in the background while I paint Warhammer or cook supper, etc.

Btw does anyone know why PW torch hasn't had any new podcasts since the rumble?

Wrestler podcasts: Stone Cold, Jericho, Ric Flair, and Jim Ross. I don't listen to these weekly anymore, but will tune in when they have a guest that interests me.

Wrestling review/analysis:

STRAIGHT SHOOT- This is probably my favourite. The host, Aubrey Sitterson is one of the most optimistic wrestling fans out there, and it's nice to hear from a guy who looks for the good in wrestling, rather than bitching about the bad. Although the show does critique as well. He currently does a weekly show that will focus on 3 or 4 different TV shows, RAW is always one of them. The other 3 are usually NXT, LU, ROH, NJPW or a random indy promotion, and every so often he'll do an old-school promotion that's on the network and review an episode of that. The guests are cool, and they each specialise in one promotion, and occasionally he'll have wrestlers on the show like Adam Cole, or Roderick Strong.

Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast - Mainly just listen to The State of Wrestling part of this podcast where they go through current events in WWE. Katie Linendoll is a bit annoying/I don't agree with a lot of stuff she said. But different opinions, I guess. This is very much what works/doesn't work, and fantasy booking. Strictly WWE as well.

I used to listen to Between The Ropes, but that got shit once everyone buy Brian Fritz left. And I just can't handle stuff like PWTorch & Observer, because they focus on ratings and boring shit like that too much.

Man I tried to like Straight Shoot, I really did, but in the end I got sick of his 'everything is awesome' mentality toward every god damn show.

I don't listen to any podcasts with hosts that I know are probably still associated with the business in any way shape or form since I don't think anything they're saying is 100% honest. That's why I'd rather watch youtubers like Joe Cronin, Koco Sports, the Blitz when he was around, JDfromNY etc. No WWE asslicking, just straight up honest opinions on the product.
