..in response to so many requests, the Best Technical Wrestler award, which Bryan Danielson won every year from 2005 to 2013, will be named from this point forward, the Bryan Danielson Award
Re: Wrestling Observer's "Best Technical Wrestler" Award to be renamed "The Bryan Danielson" award!
At least ric flair and others were original but no matter how you look at it bryan is a poor man's chris benoit with running knee stolen from kenta.
dave meltzer surely have peaked his true mark potential so rejoice smarks.

This is too much.
bryan a great skilled wrestler? yes . Best Technical Wrestler award namen after him?? no. Stop this already, CM PUNK, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn or John Morrison are as good as Bryan if not better than him. all of this must stop.

Makes sense. Bryan was a legend before his WWE run. His WWE run just cemented him as a top 10 GOAT worker. As a technician, you won't get many better in the modern era.
Re: Wrestling Observer's "Best Technical Wrestler" Award to be renamed "The Bryan Danielson" award!
^ The problem is you think technical wrestling is purely about moves, when it's more about transitions and psychology. Watch any Daniel Bryan PPV match (since you obviously don't care about before that) and watch what he does between the shitty WWE moveset of kicks and dives. You'll see what technical wrestling is all about. Bryan invented so many different body target moves that it's insane.

yeah no. They're going too far. He doesn't deserve the have the award named after him. At least wait a few years when he's like a solid HoFer and preferably wait until he's dead. Like a real tribute.

Re: Wrestling Observer's "Best Technical Wrestler" Award to be renamed "The Bryan Danielson" award!
This is beyond awesome, I know there are many here on this forum who think differently (some a lot differently) but me personally he deserves it. Danielson is the only wrestler I have ever religiously followed from the time I first watched him perform in ROH 2002 until the very end of his career no matter what promotion he worked for. I've never had that type of devotion for any other wrestler, and I never will again.
It's a great honor, and very fitting. The guy was the best, many wont agree & that's their right, but I don't care Brian Danielson deserves this.
Re: Wrestling Observer's "Best Technical Wrestler" Award to be renamed "The Bryan Danielson" award!
The guy won the award 9 times and people are saying he doesn't deserve it?
Get the fuck outta here, one thing is if you don't like Bryan, but you can't deny that he deserves this. There is nothing wrong about this. The people awarded him, not Meltzer himself.

TIME FOR THE WIZARD TO TAKE BRYANS PLACE AND WIN THE AWARD EVERY YEAR UNTIL HE RETIRES
