If you had to pick a location outside of the United States to get a Wrestlemania event, where would you pick? And what would be your main event to that location, that you think would appeal to that arena/location in particular.
I would bring it back to the Rogers Centre (I didn't know it changed from the Skydome) just watching the reaction to Hulk Hogan Vs The Rock I can't help but think with the right match-up and card, hoping to get the arena to react in such a way again, and Canadian fans are usually great.
Now obviously fantasy booking if I had to pick a main event, considering it is Canada
I got to go with Kevin Owens Vs Sami Zayn.. (Yea I know indy mark booking) and or Sami Zayn/Owens Vs John Cena.
I feel one of those matches would get the crowd excited, seeing Owens or Zayn main-eventing WM in their home country, (both unlikely WM main eventers) going on last, with the right storyline could really get the crowd into it.
What about you? Your Wrestlemania location, and main event.
Australia would be awesome, every time they come over they sell out, there is no reason why they couldn't do Wrestlemanias in the UK, Canana & Australia, U.S fans are spoiled.
WM will never be held outside of North America. Nor should it be. It's as American as apple pie. And I'm a Brit. It would be like holding the Champions League final in L.A. Wrestlemania belongs in North America.

The difference is that something like the Champions League relates to a European based football competition, so of course it would be silly to hold it somewhere like the US. Given they call themselves World Wrestling Entertainment surely its unfair not to take WM overseas? Just in general I find it strange WWE don't hold at least one PPV per year outside of the US. I reckon even a filler PPV like Fastlane would be a bigger draw if held outside the US and they would be tapping into the global market.
It will never be held outside of North America. There's no way they are going to start WM at 8 am or 2 pm in North America. Even with the network and instant access it would be a flop.
Wrestlemania being in Canada is the only chance of either Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn being in the main event. With that being said, London has got to get a Wrestlemania one day.
I'd co-sign on Wrestlemania coming back to Toronto, but the capacity for the Rogers Centre isn't very big compared to the last string of stadiums they hit
Wembley seats 90K, you could get 10K the floor similar to this and break 100K, makes sense to have it here, In fact it's pretty much a guarantee if WM ever came to Europe this is where it would be, however unlikely that is.
I don't think that Canadian cities really count as international cities for a WM. To do a WM in Australia wouldn't be impossible but not sure what time in Australia you could do it there to matchup with the US PPV start time. Like say if you did it around noon time Australia time on the Monday then maybe it would air on US TV at the normal Sunday night time slot.
But I think instead of doing an international WM since there is only 1 WM a year and there is a ton of US venues wanting WWE to hold the event in their place, it would make more sense just to do a SummerSlam or just another big WWE Network event in an international city.
I would say New Zealand but that would never happen in a million years :lol We only just got WWE coming back down here for a live event for the first time in 5 years :lmao Plus the timezone would fuck everything up - when Raw and the PPVs air in the USA, it's 1pm or 2pm Monday afternoon here, so unless they wanted to hold a show in the middle of the day, it would never work. Same goes for Australia...
I'm happy for Mania to stay in the USA, cos that means I get to go the USA to go to it
With the amount of people there, I think it's an obvious choice to make history and break international barriers.
I just wonder if it'll be more or less profitable than Wrestlemania in the U.S.
And I agree that Toronto doesn't count as international since it's already been hosted there and it's not really any distance away.
Kim Jong Un's palace...I feel like he and Vince would have a good understanding.
Both are dictators who believe their opinion to be historical & scientific fact, and will do whatever they want to to whomever they want to.
My second choice would be a Hooters bar. Still PG enough for TV but just sleezy enough for Vince to get distracted which may result in accidental good booking for any superstar not named Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar.
OR
Moses Mabhida Stadium right here in Durban, South Africa
Seating Capacity = 85 000
Reason: Cause I'm selfish
Canada might as well be the 53rd state when it comes to wrestling so I wouldn't consider it international. Canada has a long history of wrestling and was also part of the territories back in the day. That being said I would love another mania @ my location.
They'd get boatloads of money if they held one in London. Summerslam '92 was their highest attendance figure for over two decades and they made $1 million off of merchandise sales alone.
The Royal Rumble is the major event they need to consider taking overseas, not Wrestlemania. It's becoming a trend for the Rumble to be hijacked by empowered, smarky crowds.
In a country like Australia, the media hype would give the WWE mainstream credibility, and their crowd would still be naive enough to pop like crazy for a predictable winner.
When Roman Reigns returned near the end of the Rumble, he probably would have been cheered like he was The Rock, and this would have translated favourably to US audiences at home.
It's time to take the Rumble overseas IMO.
