Owens is good, but Miz can work actual magic on the mic. He's been on an incredible roll these last few weeks/months and for the first time ever I'm really looking forward to him getting back into the ring and getting some sort of push.
Never thought I would ever say that..
Plus Miz has the most punchable face on tv in the last ten years
Damn, that's a tough question. You can say Miz because he doesn't get cheered AT ALL, not even in the smarkiest town. Owens heel in-ring work and trash talking are god tier level tho.
I'd say Owens. Miz is more universally hated but Owens is a master of in-ring shit talk and he's an actual threat in the ring, regardless of his recent losses.
The Mix has a greater propensity for getting babyfaces over, while Owens is a more compelling performer who overshadows his feuding babyface rather than elevate them. You could put up a good argument for either side. If only we had a debate on this subject!
Not a fan of Miz at all, but credit where it's due he's a good heat magnet, really the closest thing to a heel you can get, he's not pro wrestling material imo, a great manager for sure, but NOT a wrestler.
Owens plays his role quite well though, but the reason why heels like him can't get over like they should is because WWE has truly fucked up the whole face/heel dynamic, the truth of the matter is people are fucking tired of the squeaky clean, boy scout babyface act already, how many more faces do I have to see smile and wave constantly before I deduce that's the only semblance of character they have?!? How many brain dead, meat headed, stand up comic wannabes do I have to see get constantly booked into an underdog role, and apparently EVERY ONE is supposed to be "mystified" when the face "miraculously" goes over in the end?
So yeah, while I think Miz is a crap pro wrestler, begrudgingly I will admit he is the better heel, but not because he's more talented necessarily, simply because he was born to be hated.
Neither. They're both excellent heels, and they do it in a classic fashion, which seems to work. Miz should be heeling it up higher on the card, and Owens is steadily moving his way on up.
If you're looking at it from a 'Who the best wrestler who happens to be heel' standpoint then Owens, if you're looking at it from a 'Who gets some of the best heel heat' standpoint, then Miz, for sure. Guy is a fantastic mic worker who can manipulate the crowd fantastically. Owens is capable of it too, but Miz is a great guy to use to get the fans behind a wrestler.
Miz is the best mic worker in the business, if they would hire a "secrutiy team" for his gimmick, I'd let him win the U.S title. The guy can work and doesn't bore me. I wish WWE didn't treat their heels like utter shit
My favourite line from this week was, 'I HAVE A MICROPHONE, AND I CAN BE LOUDER THAN EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU.'. What a snobby, asshole line, that just encourages the crowd to boo even louder. Perfect.
Miz. He's that douche who brags about how hot his girlfriend is and how he main evented WM. Just a condescending and arrogant heel that you just love to punch in the face. Also he takes credit for making Bryan a star.
I've wondered before, everyone remember the 80's and how anyone anti America was a HUGE heel? Today, it's different and hard to get huge heat so I wonder how Reigns and Miz would do as top heels? The goal is always to have a heel people would pay to see lose. Just wonding people opinions?
Miz easily Owens only really gets heel heat on his sneak attacks. Plus Miz has a long list of faces he's got over.
While overall Owens is a better performer Like I said in another thread Owens wrestles like he wants to be cheered and his promos never really get the face over.
If the rule is, the bigger the booes = better heel, then Owens isn't even in the top 5. :miz
