- Inside Edition posted an article and videos on how Donald Trump's past with WWE will likely be used against him a lot more as the 2016 Presidential race continues. They even spoke to Bobby Lashley, who had Trump in his corner for the "Battle of the Billionaires" with Vince McMahon and Umaga at WrestleMania 23 in 2007. Lashley told Inside Edition that Trump was "cool" throughout the whole process and "wanted to be a part of it." Lashley said, "He wanted to play a more active role, him taking down Vince, that was him having fun."
The best part of that story was Inside Edition called the clip of Trump attacking Vince as something like "until recently lost footage" as if it was some small event that hardly anyone had seen or knew about.
I'm just wondering why no one (at least that I've heard of) has brought up Trump running the USFL into the ground. Obviously the fact that he's an ignorant bigot, narcissist, and has a complete lack of moral fiber is more important, but still. If someone were to bring up the point "well, Donald, how can the American people trust you to run a country when you managed to run a fledgling 12 team football league that was showing real promise prior to your arrival, into the ground in less than a year?" it would be a nice haymaker and would probably catch "The Donald" off guard. Especially if they aired that footage from the 30 for 30 doc where Trump acts like the worlds biggest douche bag in an interview. It's a horrible look for him. Show that to people who support Trump with the tag line "Is this the guy you want dealing with fellow heads of state? He will start World War III in a matter of months if he's elected."
Lame to say the least, as if this is some big secret that no one knew about.
