The New Day is Becoming Overexposed

Over the last few weeks, we've been getting multiple or unnecessarily long New Day segments. As usual with WWE, they take a good thing and milk it dry until you get sick of it. I don't want it to get to that point, so I hope they dial back on their screen time. It's becoming clear that they're running out of material. Let them do what they naturally do and move on. It's becoming forced. A comedy gimmick can only go so far. They'll have to either be seen less or make tweaks to stay fresh.

You're right but it doesn't matter. The show is just too much of a train wreck right now for it to matter how many times New Day appear on it.

Everything is terrible. There isn't one feud or story they are booking well.

It takes a special kind of idiot to butcher a wrestling show this badly.

Yeah, I posted this as a suggestion the other day:

I respect this post. No one's going to admit it, because it's the popular craze like Mizdow was last year, but there's going to be a point very soon where New Day gets stale because they've exhausted the possibilities of this gimmick. I'd like to see some tweaking as well to keep them fresh. I'm a sucker for heels in suits, so I was immediately sold on their initial militant Black gimmick. Xavier Woods cut a deep passionate promo, and I feel like his potential isn't close to peaking yet. He's a naturally funny guy, but he can be funny AND serious. Mixing both is the key to perfection. Comedic characters have a ceiling that they've already reached. I'd like to use Edge and Christian, for example:

They went from this:

To this:

Real quick. If New Day can blend elements of comedy and viciousness, they'll ensure their longevity.

INB4 a certain user comes rushing in here to defend their precious favs :lmao

OP: I could not agree more. I was 100% on board with TND, but seeing them appear on my screen now makes me feel kind of annoyed because it's more or less the same damn thing all the time.

I hope they can withstand the test of time, but I doubt it. Individually, none of them are strong enough to hold their own. But as a team, they need to change up their gimmick and evolve or they'll get future endeavoured veeeery fast.

I too would like to see them vary the act more often, ala E & C. But considering 90% of the rest of the show is hot garbage these days, I don't want to see a major cut down in their time atm.

Just remember a shovel courtesy of The Usos is coming soon. After that, people will miss the New Day and look back at their high time fondly.

Can't be helped right now. No Cena, no Lesnar, no Bryan, Orton doesn't care anymore even when he's there, all the heels are in one big lump, and no attempt to build riveting storylines in the lower & mid cards (it's a travesty that we didn't get to hear Owens' theme tonight). New Day is the only entertaining thing going - they're trying to carry three hours of this drivel by themselves.

It's obvious the E is mailing it in until RtWM. They're going to try to get by with as little talent and effort as possible between now and then, banking on the fact that people will flock back, because they always do.

"They need to be darker/have more edge"
"They need to be more serious"

You guys legitimately sound like a bunch of 8th grade emo kids from 2008.

New Day are over, are popular, have become loved, and perform at their best because they're goofy, but credible and talented.

But nah let's throw it under the bus because they had to have more segments because majority of the credible roster is out injured, you guys shit all over guys who could potentially become credible btw, and I need 'muh edginess'.

well I can agree with that - you can tell they don't give a fuck because the amount of things they are saying could never be scripted.

Like Xavier woods mentions EVO/E-honda/street fighter surprised he didn't shoutout Mike Ross and Gootecks - it's funny how he's pimping the living shit out of up up down down
