The pile driver used to be such an effective move that would make fans cringe when it was used, and used to be used as a finisher by several wrestlers like Jerry Lawler, Don Moroaco, and Paul Orndorff to name a few. 1) why isn't it used as much with today's wrestlers, and 2) who used it last, effectively?
And Eric Young has been using the piledriver regularly over in TNA but since it's TNA it doesn't really matter. He delivered a great one to fat Tommy Dreamer and it split Dreamer's pants. Hilarious.

I'd say Bret Hart, but later will come someone to name some japanese wrestler I didn't saw because NJPW doesn't want to hire english language commentators.
CM Punk last used it against Cena. The last wrestler to regularly use it was Rhyno. Prior to him, it was Billy Gunn. You don't see it anymore because it's banned. I just think Punk didn't care.
LOL I remember all the drama about that Punk piledriver, saying he and Cena got yelled at in the back for doing it and that. But Cena knew how to take it and Punk did it safely, so no harm done :shrug
Punk and Cena could get away with that. Yeah they got yelled at but nothing happened. This is another overlooked factor in whats wrong with the product. Everybody is on eggshells and afraid to screw up and piss the wrong people off. Brock is the only guy on the whole roster who could get away with anything.
Sitout versions of the Piledriver have been banned in WWE as a safety precaution because of how badly things can go wrong. Outside of WWE they're still legal and still a valid finisher, as mentioned earlier Eric Young uses it as his finisher in TNA.
There are some versions of the sitout Piledriver safer than the typical version, such as the Package Piledriver used by Kevin Steen, despite the safety given by the setup ensuring there's a bigger gap between the opponents head and the mat this version is also banned in WWE (which is why Kevin Owens uses the Pop-Up Powerbomb as his finisher)
