WWE epitomizes everything wrong in our PC/thin skinned society.

Our world is too thin skinned, pussified, politically correct, sensitive... call it what you want. Our world has been consumed by people who love to complain about anything and everything! A world where someone will watch 'GAME OF THRONES' just so they can be like.. 'OMG THERE'S A RAPE SCENE! BOYCOTT THIS PROGRAM' even when they know what to expect. Don't like it? fuck off.

Same goes for WWE. Soccer moms will take their precious little baby to watch 'WRESTLING SHOW' which is violent regardless, but once a bad wittle word is said or there is a wittle bit of blood, they'll be straight down WWE's throat trying to sue the fuckers cause their precious little baby has been traumatized. (Fuck off!)

You know what WWE does? they cater to these people. They cater to these sponsors, all these fuckwits like GLAD or what-ever these bullshit orginisations are, who can't take a fucking joke. Remember when Cena said something homophobic around 2010 and GLAD wen't mental? lighten the fuck up.

Society has been ruined. Politically correct has killed mostly everything. Why can't we go back to the 90's when people weren't so sensitive. WWE are the worst kind of people for it. They actually help increase political correctness for letting these thin-skinned people get their way, and if WWE does something wrong again, they'll cater to the PC people once again!

So many people I know hate how sensitive our society has become. I personally hate political correctness. WWE should literally be called PCE. Politically Correct Entertainment.

Rant over.

And if all this wasn't the case Ambrose would probably be the modern day Stone Cold. But no, they made him a goofy cartoon character.

Fuck you WWE for changing from peer pressure. Why do people even care about this stuff? Blood, hits to women, it's not fucking real!

The people who complain about "PC bullshit" are just as annoyingly butthurt as the worst of the PC-crowd.
Oh, so you acted like an asshole and someone actually called you out for being an asshole? It must be because the world has become "pussified" rather than because you are, in fact, an asshole!

As for wrestling, it has nothing to do with how "extreme" or "edgy" the content is. Like Issues_Sunshyne said what WWE lacks is solid characters and logical storylines. If WWE tried to do the AE today with the Crash TV style, it would look dated and silly. The problem today is they're more worried about shilling for sponsors and trending on Twitter than focusing on the on screen product.

And for those of you who think Political Correctness is something new, take a look at the 1994 movie, PCU. That same politically correct crowd was around and making people all butthurt back in the 90s, supposedly before everyone became "pussified."

...Not to say that there aren't some really stupid cases of political correctness gone crazy out there. But, in my experience, the overly sensitive, butthurt anti-PC crowd are much more numerous and irritating than the overzealous PC people they complain about.

Political Correctness and feminists run the world. This is why, even know hes a total jackass, we need to get Trump in office. He may be incompetent, but his election will help rid America of this bullshit that we call "PC" and "SJW".

This isn't a political forum, so I won't delve into great detail, but if that is your rationale for electing Donald Trump, you and people of your ilk have an incredibly misguided understanding of what is required to run a hot dog stand, let alone the world's most powerful nation. It's times like these that the IQ requirement for voting should re-enter the conversation, and this comes from someone who positively despises the PC movement.

There does seem to be a lot of people primed to be offended in modern times, but it's different in wrestling;

I don't need blood or hitting women to make me enjoy wrestling. Coherent storylines, dramatic matches and characters that connect is what I need, and that is something that is more than able to be applied to a PG TV show.

It's easy to look at WWE and think the PG reasons are why it's poor, when it can be said that the PG era is something it's at least evolved into, and we are all fans of a different age than we were when wrestling was 'edgy'. I loved the Attitude Era but I was a teenager, do I really want to be a 30 year old man whooping at diva mud-fights and people knocking each other out with chairs?

The idea that WWE adds toward the sterile and politically correct nature of 'the world' can only be said by a wrestling fan by the way. There aren't people blaming wrestling for making the world sensitive, it's a sensitive world that WWE is following into it's evolution. This is 2015 and it's what wrestling is. Well.. It's at least what WWE is. I can see why you can't enjoy it but wrestling has always evolved and WWF/E has been king of that evolution and following trends to keep up. Despite what people think of Vince McMahon and his knowledge of pop culture, he's done a solid job overall of having his company treading ground that is apt in that time.

It's strange because hardliner SJWs etc are a very, very small fringe of people. They may not even watch the show, just hear about something and then lose their minds, that's what they do. They look for stuff to bitch about and sponsors cave in even though they're like 1% of the paying base of those sponsors or WWE and I doubt even 1%. It will be a few years before Sponsors eventually ignore these people.

Anyone who is pro PC needs to kill themselves, go drown in unicorn tears or beat yourself to death with your rainbow handbag you fucking whiny little bitches, this latest generation are a bunch of WIMPS, grow a fucking backbone & stand up for yourselves instead of making laws to stop you getting your precious little feelings from being hurt.

Don't like what I'm saying? tough shit!

They do cater to them but that's what happens when you go public and you've got sponsors, you're backed by major corporations, they now have a say in the product, it wasn't like that years ago, the WWE could do it's own thing but also the company does a good job of following society and right now society is very politically correct, very soft, so the company follows that, it all boils down to money

I call these people collectively as "The Legion of the Terminally Butthurt"(I put it in Urban Dictionary). No matter what, they'll find something to be offended by.

I honestly don't know how these people are allowed to breed....Over sensitive jackasses who deserve to all be put on an isolated land such as Northern Canada or Antarctica so they can't be offended by much. I'm dead sure they'll try to sue the penguins for wearing tuxedos or something however.

It's turned our country into "PC pussy land".

The Legion of the Terminally Butthurt...it applies.

yes youre right

of course there must be political correct, non violent, family friendly shows on TV, but really a wrestling show of all things?, if you want to make a wrestling show non violent and family friendly the show is flawed from the start, because its a fake fight after all, if you try to make something like that family friendly you have a bastardized product.

I just don't understand how people can not differentiate fiction to reality. Like, if you don't like something or are offended by it, don't watch it. It's like people who try boycotting Game of Thrones. What about us who aren't pussies and can know that somethng isn't real?

Did you hear people are trying to boycott Zoolander 2 cause its politically incorrect with the transguy Benedict cumberbatch.

WWE is not PG, it's desperately trying to be PC for sponsors and the like :russo

Couldn't agree more, OP.

We're living in a world now where being insulted or grieved is so commonplace it's just become part of life. People will find any reason to feel discriminated or wronged and it's here to stay, it's taking over.

Go on YouTube and search for Vince McMahon interviews. One of the first hits is an interview in 2004ish where the host questions Vince over some of the storylines WWE have run over the years. Of course Vince is right when he basically says if you don't like it turn it off but he's bowing to that pressure these days. Maybe it's just easier to conform than fight the impossible fight.

They've been public since 1999. Look what they got away with back then. Vince lost his grapefruits and his retard daughter shouldn't be near a mgmt position.

Damn straight man!
They let themselves be led by these overly sensitive goofs who probably never watched the shows in the first place and wouldn't watch even if WWE appeased their whining. Then in turn, WWE loses viewers because adults like myself are having our intelligence insulted with this cornball kiddie crap. Feels like I'm watching Saturday morning cartoons at this point, good grief...
