Its time for the WWE to do a reboot.

Since ratings are at an all time low the WWE needs a wake up call and needs to reboot their way of doing things. Its not that hard to fix either. Fixing the booking aside which is easy, just book like NXT where the storylines make sense and everyone feels important they need to go out with the old and in with the new.

Its time for guys like Taker, Kane, Henry, Big Show, etc etc to go. Its time to start building some new stars and make them feel important.

Reigns is the only guy they make feel like a big deal. They need to also do that to guys like Ambrose, Rollins , Owens, Cesaro, and Wyatt. Those 6 would be a great main event core to be the stars of the future for the main event.

The mid card could also be very strong with Balor, Zayn, Itami, Neville, and Breeze.

For the women just do what they have been in NXT but on the main roster, get rid of that ugly belt and make it like the classic women title and stop using the stupid term diva. Save that shit for the TV show.
The core stars of the women division should be Sasha, Becky, Charollote, Paige, Asuka and Baley.

The tag team division is stacked right now and all you need to do is stop making random tag team matches and only book real tag team matches with established tag teams.

Also go back to having jobbers and enhancement matches. You shouldn't be having matches especially before a PPV with two wresters that need a win. The roster is full of wresters just use the bottom third as jobbers.
This is guys like Ryder, Slater, Truth, Rose, Fandango, Dallas, and Axel.

It was stupid when two PPVs ago Ryback lost a match on Raw right before his title match with Owens. He should have faced someone like Slater or one of those other jobbers to build himself up before his title match.

They just need to focus on 3 or 4 feuds per month instead of just one feud and then give everyone else 50/50 booking and basically pulling names out of a hat for the rest of the PPV matches.

Within a few moths they could easily build new stars that people give a shit about and they would feel important. Any time one of these main stars loses it should feel like a big deal.

A reboot isn't bringing up new talent. It's transforming the way the shows are produced, the way the storylines are written, and how the payoffs are carried out. It's completely changing all the fans views in a positive way. You can bring back all the part timers and NXT guys you want but at the end of the day it's still the same product. Just different faces.

that is exactly what I outlined. Did you not read my whole post? Go back and read THE WHOLE POST.

here is the cliff notes version since you seem to have a comprehension problem.

Get rid of the over the kill wresters.
Push new talent and stars and not don't just focus on one person, focus on a core of stars
stop hoping random tag matches and just focus on legit tag teams.
bring back jobbers and enchantment talent so you don't have wresters taking pins when both need a win
I reworked the women division

so how is that just calling up new wresters ? That was just a small part of what I said and that was just to fill in the older talent leaving

It would be funny if they did a serious gritty reboot. Go off TV for a few weeks. We come back everyone is different

Ambrose is now a Cincinnati degenerate criminal. Trying to fly the straight path through wrestling. But his Parole officer Hunter McMahon who also runs the place won't make that transition to easy.

Reigns is now Roman Anoa'i the
young cocky heir to the Anoa'i wrestling fortune with his right hand men his cousins Jimmy, Jey and his big bottom wife Trinity. You will love him and you will watch him. Or else

Kevin Owens is now Kevin Foley . Mick's estranged son with a chip on his shoulder to prove to the world, his old man, and his son he belongs on the big stage.

Adam Rose is now Adam Rose the biggest Molly dealer on the Western world. He's going to make you party whether you like it or not.

John Cena is now John Cena a man who time traveled a decade into the future trying to make sense of this crazy new world and why people seem not to like him anymore.

I do agree with you to an extent, a reboot is sorely needed right now. The only problem that I see is the transition -- It never happens overnight and there needs to be a clear longterm direction behind the product that is identifiable to the zeitgeist of the times. It would be hard for WWE to downgrade some of their established talent and move them aside for a younger generation because it's a gamble that you can't look back on and undo -- Established names have brand value and most of them have earned prominent spots on the card in the company's eyes, but on the other hand they do represent an archaic product and that does need to be considered.

I would simply go back to a time when booking and promotions were based on individual merits -- whoever is drawing, selling the most merch, connecting with the audience the most should be getting pushes that reflect their momentum and everyone should be given equal opportunity to get their characters over -- The WWE should gauge their numbers and adjust the direction of the storylines accordingly -- That's what worked in the AE and it gave them unprecedented levels of popularity

They've needed one for years. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan managed to paper over the cracks for a while. Even Rollins helped a bit. The cracks are very much still there though.

Super Cena was the beginning of the end for the companies long term appeal. They got used to lazy booking which served the purpose of selling merchandise, and really, not much else.

owens in the main event :lmao:

every IWC "reboot" ever

- the set now looks like a dark flea market
- owens is WHC till the end of time (which would be about 3 months)
- EVERYONE is a heel
- interviews and segments are now refered to as "pipebombs"
- paige to HOF, she is undisputed womens champion, she brings back womens belt to piss on its legacy some more cause she just cant stand butterflies.... and because we cant have 2 paiges the butterfly belt will have to take the blame for the division...

there... i just saved everyone an hour of reading... shower me in green boyz...

They have proven that doesnt work. And Reigns is supposed to be that guy and he is the main focus and ratings plummeted.

The WWE has always been better when more than one wrestler was the focus.

One of the best times in the WWE was when you had the smackdown six

The new six on the mens side could be Reigns, Ambrose, Rollins, Owens, Cesaro, and Wyatt.

that is much better than putting all your eggs in one basket on one wrester whomever that is.

A reboot can also includes presentation. Raw doesn't feel RAW like it 8 years ago. The stage, music, all gotta go. New commentary. And yes as stupid as this sounds the PG/G-rated, kid/family friendly format needs to go away. It hasn't worked and is a reason for these numbers. Edginess and violence sell. They survived w/o sponsorship in the AE.

1. Make the big six (Shield trio, KO, Cesaro, Bray) into a big seven by adding Rusev

and

2. Take out starpower lacking Charlotte for Bliss

and we have a deal.

April 10th, 2000 is a good(not great, good) example of a reboot with WCW. Watch that episode and the Nitro 2 weeks before.

The 1st Impact on DA is another example. And you could count this:

The show needs excitement, not just Wrestling 101 booking.

RE-Boot well only happen when Raw or Smackdown get cancelled, and taken off the air. That is what a re boot means. Until that happens, won't ever happen.

Oh and needless to say, a whole new creative approach. Vince, Steph, and Dunn will never again put forth a good wrestling product.

Here you're just shuffling talent around based on who you personally like rather than who actually fits in best with the new "reboot/attitude/movement".

One of these you mention is the current divas champ and another just challenged for the title last night. I agree changing the belt and calling them women wrestlers is an improvement but I don't consider that part of a reboot.

The tag team division is stacked right now and all you need to do is stop making random tag team matches and only book real tag team matches with established tag teams. Some of the best tag teams have been guys that competed in singles and tag matches simultaneously. Limiting wrestlers to only one type of match is not utilizing your roster to it's full potential.

Feeding a PPV competitor a jobber on the go-home does absolutely nothing. I prefer they be in legit matches and are attacked during the match by their PPV opponent or face off in a tag match. No need to shit up SD even more just to give wrestlers wins that mean absolutely nothing and add zero to the storyline.

They just need to focus on 3 or 4 feuds per month instead of just one feud and then give everyone else 50/50 booking and basically pulling names out of a hat for the rest of the PPV matches. This is where you really shit the bed. Have 3 or 4 matches with any meaning and just throw shit against the wall for the rest of the card?

Within a few moths they could easily build new stars that people give a shit about and they would feel important. Any time one of these main stars loses it should feel like a big deal.
I may have done that backwards by bolding parts of your post instead of my replies.

"Here you're just shuffling talent around based on who you personally like rather than who actually fits in best with the new "reboot/attitude/movement". "

Ok so tell me then who is a better choice to have as your future top main event stars if its not going to be Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose, Owens, Cesaro, and Wyatt and for the mid card Balor, Zayn, Itami, Neville, and Breeze.?
Please tell me who a better choice would be than that group?

"One of these you mention is the current divas champ and another just challenged for the title last night. I agree changing the belt and calling them women wrestlers is an improvement but I don't consider that part of a reboot."

Changing the diva tile to the women tile is a part of the reboot. It would bring legitimacy to the title than the ugly diva title. Even the time diva is disbarring to women.

"Some of the best tag teams have been guys that competed in singles and tag matches simultaneously. Limiting wrestlers to only one type of match is not utilizing your roster to it's full potential."

They need to focus on real tag teams and push the singles wresters as single wrestlers. Its pointless putting together random tag team matches that don't mean squat. Focus on your tag team division. The tag division is filled with talent again and could be as good as it was in its prime. Its fine if you want to have one random tag team match a week but its dumb having 3 tag team matches when none of them are real tag teams. Save that for the actual tag team division.

"Feeding a PPV competitor a jobber on the go-home does absolutely nothing. I prefer they be in legit matches and are attacked during the match by their PPV opponent or face off in a tag match. No need to shit up SD even more just to give wrestlers wins that mean absolutely nothing and add zero to the storyline."

yes it does it does way more than them losing a match before a PPV title match. You just claiming a loss to a bigger name before a title match at a PPV shows you dont have a clue what makes sense.
Ryback losing his match before his title match agains Owens did zero for the storyline, it just made him look weak before the PPV.

"This is where you really shit the bed. Have 3 or 4 matches with any meaning and just throw shit against the wall for the rest of the card?"
The WWE just focuses on ONE right now. 3 or 4 is an improvement LOL The WWE is always throwing shit against the wall for the rest of the PPV cards besides the main event at most PPVs (except the big 4).
Do you even watch the product? Most PPV feuds are not even started until 2 weeks before the PPV .What I am saying is improving what the WWE current does with just focusing on ONE FEUD. And when I say 3 or 4 and I am talking about making them feel important and giving them the spotlight. Not just having throw away feuds like the wWE does now.

Build up Dean by doing a 3 PPV stint where it's KO vs Dean

Build up Wyatts by having Bray beat Del Rio to get the USA strap

Have Rowan and Harper feud with New Day. By Mania bring up Jordan & Gable plus Enzo and Big Cass for tag team.

Maybe give Big E a solo belt shot.

Let Cesaro contend for a strap once he's back.

Turn Seth face and have him save a face Upton a return to a huge pop and have him feud w Tripa/Authority.

Use Taker / Sting to put new young guys over or for nostalgia goodbyes (final match / final Mania etc).

Keep Ryback, Del Rio, Swagger, Dolph, Neville, Goldust as mid card / non strap guys.

Bring Cody Rhodes back

Bring Kurt Angle back for a one off at Mania.

Keep developing Braun. If he learns to wrestle he could be useful.

Don't over do Brock and Cena. But both are fine if not burying everyone.

Bring Finn up before Summerslam next year.

Eventually bring up Baron and Apollo Crews.

Build into a Charlotte vs Sasha and around Mania or Summerslam bring BAYLEY into the fold.

Also for Smackdown, use it for the big guys to do promos but SD is where I'd like to see guys w potential that aren't there yet like Titus, Breeze, Kalisto, Swagger, Sandow, Becky Lynch

Also into bringing back Nash as an Authority guy

Doesn't even need to wrestle much
