I was looking through some old video's, and stumbling across wrestler debut's... I added "Persona" into this thread title because of character's like "Dude Love" which Mick Foley has brought onto screen at times over the years.

Which WWE Superstar has had the best debut onto WWE television?

Kane Lesnar, Taker, and Shield are probably the most memorable. Luger debuting as the Narcissist at the Royal Rumble with Heenan fawning over him was fun, Randy Savage had a great debut and was hyped as a big deal before even debuting and was a rare example of the company properly building someone over a number of years. There are other candidates but those are the ones that come to mind off the top of my head.

Jericho.

Jericho's was a great one but he made himself look like a dud with his facial expressions when Rock trashed him, which he even said in his book. He's my all time favorite but I think Kane had the greatest debut ever by far. I still go back and watch it every so often..

It's obviously between Jericho, Kane and Lesnar, with my personal fave being Jericho. It was just awesome, the countdown, the music, the bitch fest between Y2J and Rocky. Just perfect chemistry. Can we have more episodes of Raw like that?

However, in recent times, I really enjoyed Owens just coming out and destroying Cena and then beating him clean in their first match. Sadly every thing else that followed rubbished his run.

I can't think of any others that have left lasting impressions, especially in recent years. Looking at WCW, the crow Sting was cool for a while and the NWO seemed shit scared of him and the return of The Ultimate Warrior in WCW was really well done...that is up until the actual match that followed lol

I'm a Kane mark, so obviously I'll go with Kane. Take out the mark in me, his debut had been hyped for months, he debuted in the main event of a match, and took out the Undertaker on his first night.

For more recent debuts, I feel the Wyatt Family and The Shield both had solid debuts. The Wyatts had been hyped for months and their debut night featured several segments. And The Shield, they made an immediate impact upon their debut.

Kane and The Shield debut are the best. What I love about both is that they are both short and on point, they come in...introduce the character (or group in the Shield's case), thrash whomever they are going to thrash and then get out. No long talks or boring follow ups (which is what I think killed Jericho's), just pure ass kicking. That is what imo makes both work and be more impactful.

Of course the Shield also get mayor props for trashing Boreback on their debut.
