Besides obviously Brock Lesnar, who would be in and why? And i'm not talking WWECW...I'm talking the original, hardcore ECW. Discuss...you can use any wrestlers, not just WWE guys
Few guys come to mind, Ambrose, Owens, Sami Zayn or basicaly anyone that doesnt give a shit about there bodies and are willing to put it all on the line.
With how ECW was bringing in talent from all parts of the world, I can see them working with and companies in Mexico and Japan and having probably the best best talent in the world..
Of course WWE and TNA (well maybe not current TNA) would swipe up their talent.
But of course the company was known for being hardcore so guys like Ambrose, Owens, Bram, Abyss, could be there. Throw in indy wrestlers like Necro Butcher, Candice LeRae (she'd fit right in) and especially some ROH talent like The Briscoes, Young Bucks, I think it could work.
Pretty much most of the east coast indy guys who worked their way up from or are still wrestling in CZW, JAPW and ROH I'd think. They all work the same place as ECW so you think they'd end up wrestling there since it would be the biggest promotion in the area so all the best talent would head over naturally.
I can also imagine a lot of the guys like Jimmy Yang and Shannon Moore would have gone from WCW to there instead of to WWE since they have a bigger chance of standing out there. And then there'd be the guys who leave WWE but still wrestle actively and then I'm sure ECW would have a talent sharing deal with NJPW by now if they were still active so there would probably be all those guys coming over every so often.
Maybe RoH wouldn't have become as big as it did, because Heyman probably would have scooped up Punk, Joe, Dragon, low Ki, maybe even Styles and Daniels
ROH Wouldn't exist if ECW were still in bussiness.
ROH was originally created by Rob Feinstein of RF Videos to produce wrestling event DVDs because ECW went out of bussiness and CZW parted ways so they needed wrestling events to be produced on DVD.
I never really got into ROH as it is too wrestling based for my taste and there are not many characters that stand out.
The only things that really sparked my interest was the SCUM angle and Kevin Steens feud with the ROH Office. I never knew about ROH prior to 2010 and all there older stuff doesn't really interest me besides CM Punk.
ECW had much more entertaining characters and angles.

That and in 2000 he was already in developmental at WWE. Everyone thinks Heyman and Lesnar would have been buddies anyway but if Heyman never goes to WWE he never meets Brock.
ECW would have scooped up some talent and some of the guys who got big on the indies like Punk, Joe and Bryan would have gone there and became stars. But ECW would have toned down the hardcore stuff by now since it would be out of fashion, though I do think the whole Hardcore thing would have lasted a few more years going into the mid 2000s.
I think the rise of MMA would have lead to Heyman changing the product to adapt certain elements from it and have more matches that feel like real fights like the Angle vs Joe match in the cage or some of Brock's recent matches. You don't see a lot of those, but in Paul Heyman's ECW they become a lot more common. Also, the build up to Brock vs Rock in 2002 where they hyped it like a boxing match? Again, Heyman implements a lot more of that and has Taz in the back help talent capture that big fight feel.
ECW was big enough for their talent to be noticed but their budget was practically a ham sandwich. I can't see Brock staying there or even making an appearance unless it's a one-time for Paul E. However, a random choice came to my head. Matt Classic.
why would brock be there. when wwe signed lesnar in 2000 he was on a $250k a year developmental deal..imagine ecw affording that
anyway czw and roh basically grew out of the death of ecw as tna/wwa grew out of the death of wcw so anyone that made it big in thoe two ie punk, joe, bryan, rollins, owens, hero, cesaro, styles, zayn, ambrose, younger, mcguinness would have been the new generation of stars in ecw. gabe sapolsky was heymans right hand man in ecw and he took over the booking in roh and signed most of the guys i listed

Tommy Dreamer would still be involved with the company to this day, in a wrestling or backstage role. He does booking and creative work (currently runs House of Hardcore), and really did love ECW more than money.
