Dumping his woman and starting an NXT run to bury all the guys before they get to the main roster, find a newer, younger woman and becomes the biggest heel since Piper in California.
I think, even though a lot of online fans give him shit (myself included), he's still one of the hardest workers today. He has been for a decade and hasn't complained about it. So he's totally burned out and deserves his time off. He's earned it.
He's trying to stay relevant in his absence. Judging by these posts, he's going to succeed. 8 weeks of dated heel turn speculation or retirement match rumors at 32. He'll come back and be the same John Cena everybody is sick off. Great troll.
He is slowly moving down the card as the new generation slowly move up.
He's getting old and soon he will be bald and the new kids won't like him.
If he turns heel he will reinvent his career for another 10 yeas on top.
I would love to see him turn heel and become his original prototype gimmick with his hair dyed blonde
and with a fake tan it will be such a huge shocker.
He's granted 500 or more wishes or ready, he's made more than enough sick kids smile.
I think a Cena heel turn could make more money than babyface Cena if WWE makes another
great babyface to battle him.
Mr. Never Give Up finally Giving Up. Been doing this for over a decade without a real real Break. Got to admire the commitment and passion. I don't like him as a Wrestler and even as a Human being but I damn appreciate his Work ethics and hard work.
Imagine if Cena was in TNA, damn he would be their till TNA exploded
No-one can save TNA. The list of names they've had from Hogan to Angle to Hardy and the list goes on couldn't save them there's no way Cena could either. Not to mention TNA simply couldn't afford to pay Cena what he would want. The one thing that would be interesting is if they would turn Cena heel something WWE refuses to do.
The match that is lit is his career now, instead of passing on the torch he did everything to assure his flame stays exactly where its at and the unlit match is his career when he gets back, so when he returns he will pass the torch to himself, lighting the next match (which should be a new superstar).
Too bad WWE doesn't allow black matches, or ones that strike anywhere.
Also I know why they gave Owens IC belt. They didn't want the obvious course of action, have Owens beat Cena clean for the title with keyfabe injury. Rusev is put on guard duty for Ziggler's career, so nowhere near getting a title. Or they can really piss us off and let Ziggler beat Cena's US Open Challenge, and then letting Ziggler beat Rusev for 3rd PPV in a row.
That leaves Braun. The 1 heel that isn't Brock, that could tear Cena apart and make it look real. We all know who ever beats Braun is getting UBER OVER, which means that only 1 man will get to beat him, and thats Cena on his return.
Anyone who hates Cena hates wrestling, in my opinion. The guy's busted his ass harder than anyone in the last 10+ years. No one touches in in terms of how much work he's done in the ring AND out of the ring.
You tell me someone that's been consistent with their work ethics the last 10 years and are still around to show it.
*crickets*
That's what I thought.
The Cena hate is fucking obnoxious and disgusting. I don't think Cena haters really understand what it is they are saying when they say it. If you understood how the wrestling industry works, you'd know why Cena is a bonafide master mind in regards to how to get people the exposure they need.
Just because someone jobs to Cena doesn't mean they suck. It means that they're getting exposure and Cena is giving them that exposure that otherwise would have taken months to accomplish.
On another note, I really hope that Nikki and he didn't split up. I'd literally be heartbroken for them if this is the case. They're the perfect couple, whether they get married or not.
At any rate, he deserves this time off and I hope this doesn't hurt WWE.

Am I the only one who thinks he waited for this time of the year to take time off so he can return in time for the Rumble and still have had his 3 1/2 month vacation?
I didn't find it cryptic at all. Now he needs to do the right thing and put over someone for the title. If not Cesaro, a returning Bryan would be amazing, but we know that is never going to happen.

He's just waiting for the Rumble next year, then onto WM main event and Flair's record.
