How Would You Book Randy Orton in 2016 & Beyond?

Lately Randy Orton hasn't been anything relevant for some time now, The last thing that was going his way was the whole Evolution/Shield wars. Other than that, it's been blank. So I want to see suggestions on how you would book the Legend Killer, Randy Orton! in the remaining year of 2015 & beyond.

If I had to book Orton, I would have have a Team Reigns Vs Team Wyatt at Survivor Series with Randy Orton on team reigns obviously. leading up to the match at Survivor Series, there is going to be a few issues with orton and reigns being on the same page due to Orton ego and how he doesn't take orders, especially from someone that's still considered a rookie. Anyways.. during the classic Survivor Series match, they got the job done with minor issues, trying to out do one another, etc... But nothing major to point out Orton sudden change of turning heel or anything.

So it's now December and both of them are actually on the same page, the 2 are hanging out outside of WWE, having lunch together, at the airport together, spending quality time for the holidays and this is where basically everything starts to go wrong... while the cameras are still shooting selling the 2 becoming the best of friends, it's where everything goes wrong for Orton. Basically the fans are all running towards Reigns for signatures at the airport, the server who was serving Orton and Reigns food was giving Reigns all the attention, during the holidays.. Orton family, his father, girlfriend and kid was more interested in Reigns than Orton.

Basically all of this tension leads up towards a heel turn at the Royal Rumble where Randy Orton backstabs Reigns at the Rumble match where Reigns actually eliminates Orton but Orton loses it and eliminates Reigns and starts to unleash hell on Reigns all over the arena leading this feud all the way to Wrestlemania.

Randy Orton would explain his actions by reminding the WWE Universe who Randy Orton was and who Randy Orton is. A Legend Killer who has now become a Legend of his own and letting people know that age is only a number. He stats that he is still the choosin one, not Cena, Reigns, Daniel, Or anyone for that matter. Basically jealously got the best of him and wants to be the man of the WWE once again at any price.

During the matches of Randy Orton Vs Reigns, this will give Reigns some character on who he is and make this feud that much special. They could go in a bunch of different directions from here.

Anything to ease him into being a part-timer..............

1. Don't have him wrestle for 6 months (similar to Bad News Barrett) and just have him RKO people (outta nowhere) in random places on the show

2. Give him a IC/US title run so he can regularly work with younger guys

3. Do a reverse "Legend Killer" storyline where Randy is now the legend and all the less established wrestlers chase after him to say the killed the legend of Randy Orton

I've suggested this idea for awhile now and actually came to post something similar. Now that Orton is a 15 year veteran, I would suggest something along the lines of calling him "Rookie Killer" and working with the NXT Five. That would entail him working as a heel, and I hate to see him doing the Kane/Big Show flip-flop as he just turned face in February.

In all reality, Orton has sort of settled into his twilight years, and I think he is just fine where he is right now, top babyface working with midcarders. He is best suited playing the 2002-2010 Shawn Michaels role, playing the beloved and respect babyface veteran that works with younger talent and puts over upcoming heels. He can play tweener/heel on occasion if necessary (like HBK did in '04 against Benoit, '05 against Hogan, and '08 against Flair). In these feuds, give him purpose, something to sink his teeth into. His feud with Rollins was great at the start. Give him something like that, not a cold feud with Sheamus.

"Orton needs to turn heel" "Orton needs to turn face" Simply turning him isn't going to make the boring fuck interesting again. He was just a heel like 5 months ago. He just needs to take a break, come back and either be the ring veteran that puts on good matches with young guys or he needs to be the rookie killer. The later is a better and more realistic idea.

Have him be like Stone Cold + Brock Lesnar.

1. He doesn't give a shit. Randmonly RKO's people when he feels like it. Good guy, bad guy, he's just not trustworthy.

2. Have him be part-time/attraction like Lesnar. Maybe not "as part-time", but he also doesn't need to be on every show.

What does this accomplish? gets people to look forward to see Orton.

Orton is like Cena except people hate him a lot less then Cena. He just beats everyone really. He is one of those guys who is nearly impossible to go over clean. I would lessen that and have him put guys over more often. I'd like to see him put over Cesaro or Ambrose.

If I had to keep him then I would give him and Caesaro a super hero gimmick and new entrance theme. A bit like The Hurricane. Randy needs his face covered up because he has no charisma whatsoever. He looks constantly bored, a bit like Kristen Stewart.
