During tonight's Street Fight main event at the WWE live event in Hampton, Virgina, John Cena was going at it with Kevin Owens when Cena went down, the match stopped and the referee threw up the "X" symbol. It was noted by our correspondent that it wasn't clear if Cena suffered a legitimate injury but he really seemed to be hurting after the match as he went straight towards the backstage area, stopping to point back at the crowd. We've reached out to WWE for comment and will keep you updated with any information that becomes available but it could have been an angle to play off the recent nose injury.
As noted, John Cena possibly suffered a neck or nose injury at tonight's WWE live event during a Street Fight against Kevin Owens.
Apparently the injury happened when Cena was doing an Infrared sunset flip and landed on his head, according to F4Wonline.com.
We noted that Cena wrestled another 5 or 6 minutes, even going through a table, and was checked on by a handful of WWE officials and trainers. He walked straight to the back after the match but did stop to point back at the crowd.

Cena is obviously injury prone and should pushed down the card. And he should never wrestle Brock Lesnar again unless he wants to end up in a wheelchair!
@jblcenafan: @Radiocodex @ValParfenoff @davemeltzerWON Cena was doing that goofy sunset flip thing Mysterio used to do and fell right off on his head ...
All those injuries add up, and all those times he came back too soon. I mean 1 month after breaking nose, should have been at least 2 months.
I bet his body is breaking down. When you 25 and younger, you fall and get back up next day as fresh as ever. When in your 30's, you fall, take the next day off, and 1% lesser fresh the next day. Well you do that at Cena's rate, and your body will be weak.
I wanted Cena to go out on his own, but I feel with his history is going to go out like Edge, early, from injury.
I don't think Cena will end up like Edge. Cena has had quite a few injuries now, but fortunately for him he's never had anything quite as severe as the one that kept Edge out for more than a year, which just happened to involve the part of his body that made him have to retire to begin with. Edge had an injury, and over time that body part continued to wear down to the point where it was dangerous for Edge to compete. Cena hasn't really had this problem. Yet.
If it is either code red or the 2013 twist around powerbomb he did, why the hell pull that at a house show. Cena is absolutely jacked to the gills, blessed w/ healing and is a training knewledge pro having an exercise degree and pre wwe pursuited bodybuilding. That said, Cena has always been an awkward athlete not blessed w/ grace and to quote the great Chris Cornell "has millions of miles under my heels".
Why are the two reports so different. The first says Cena went down, ref stopped match. Cena hurt.
The update says the match continued for another 5 to 6 minutes and Cena even went through a table.
maybe he should stick the 5 moves of doom. everyone agrees his springboard stunner is horrible and his now he hurts himself doing that stupid standing sunset flip bomb that has the most awkward set up i've ever seen in my life.
not to mention the move makes zero sense. if he's caught mid-air upside-down, how could he possibly generate any force to then flip his opponent and basically power bomb him. it makes no sense at all and is another horrible move.
He is going to overcome these injuries and odds that are totally not in his favor again and will recapture his United States championship so he can beat more midcarders because HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA :supercena
THE MAN SAVED SCOOBY DOO AND THE GANG FROM DEATH DAMMIT
If this is true then I don't have an ounce for him at this point. I know that might sound cold and all but the truth is if the moron actually had a fully functional brain he would of went part time about 5 years ago instead of hogging the lime light as a full time performer instead.
Guy is quickly approaching 40, and he has been working even longer and more complex matches as of recently, filled with moves he's never done before. Kinda the opposite of what one does when they age really.
I hope it's just his nose, because that can be easy to fix. A neck problem is something Cena DOESN'T want this late in his career.
