Isn't it unfair to Sheamus that he is tagged the "Work-out buddy" but Seth Rollins is NOT?

I mean they are both pushed for the exact same reason; Triple H favourites behind the scenes.

And yet, Sheamus gets the unfair tag beside his name but Seth doesn't? Seth's reign isn't even successful, its a total bust, a mega-ratings failure and way beyond expiry date now.

This hypocrisy is what makes IWC look like collective fools to rest of the wrestling community. You can excuse Seth for being hand-picked? then why hate on Sheamus?

Now, the Sheamus workout buddy thing is a bit overblown, but even if that were true, here's why Seth Rollins doesn't get that kind of heat:

One, Seth Rollins didn't get to his position by sucking up to Triple H and trying to work out with him.

He got this position by being the hardest ringworker of The Shield. Going through the entire ranks of the system, step, by step, his push wasn't rushed, he worked hard.

He was down in Ring of Honor for several years.

Got to FCW and had trials and tribulations down there.

Had to dye a streak of hair blonde to get noticed by guys LIKE Triple H.

Had to work his way to being the first ever NXT Champion.

He had to overcome the fandom that Ambrose was getting, had to overcome the mainstreal appeal and management favoritism of Roman Reigns. He was the middle child of that group that had a "jack-of-all trades" label on him.

Had to flip the script and work his way up as a top heel for a year in 2014.

Had to be in the right place and right time for this push to truly work with MITB.

While being champion, STILL had to get people to complain and earn more of Triple H's respect organically. (ironically, having the same complaints as Triple H did in 2000 compared to The Rock and Steve Austin)

He had to prove while being champion that he could put on 4-star classics (a slightly underrated match with Orton at WM31, Chamber/MITB with Ambrose, SummerSlam with Cena, various Raw matches such as the one with Neville)

He had to EARN his position. He didn't have the size and he was often placed in the middle of everyone. That is why he's not given the cold "LOL TRIPLE H GUY" shoulder like some others are because he had to work so hard to even get to that position in the past 5 years. Now he's the first ever WWE and U.S. champion and he's a historic legend in the making at this moment.

Pahlease HHH has had a hard on for Rollins since the day he signed him. He choose the guy to be the first NXT Champ. Uber pushed him in The Shield, MITB, WWE Champ and US Champ at the same time. Hes hand picked by HHH and even on screen is basically HHH's protegee. Shitting on Sheamus for it but praising Seth is hypocritical no matter what excuse people have. Seth is also batshit boring on the mic and at character work so everyone calling Sheamus boring is being hypocritical there as well.

Yes, because this IWC you speak of is just one collective opinion and nobody can think for themselves. Now with that obligatory thing out the way...I don't think it's unfair. Seth is talented and entertaining and Sheamus, who has the driest matches on earth, asks us if we're entertained, like a fucking simpleton.

What's this bullshit I see about Seth in the indies but Sheamus just kiss-assed?

Sheamus was in the indies for four years until he got picked up in the developmental system, FCW & stayed there for 2 years until he got called up later in 2009.

Sheamus is considered 'workout buddy' because there was no real reason to ever push him. It was always said that "HHH is high on him..." and the workout thing just kind of manifested from there. Rollins, on the other hand, came up with an over stable, worked well for over a year, and then became the breakout guy of the Shield when Roman Reigns happened. If he's 'favored' it's because he's actually responded well to his push and became a great solo performer. Sheamus never did any of that, he's a poor man's Randy Orton. And Randy Orton is a poor man's John Cena.

Agreed. And I'm pretty sure that's not the whole reason Sheamus got pushed (cuz he works out with Triple H). People love to hate on success, so that is what they threw at Sheamus, but I think Sheamus was just destined for at least a little bit of success in the WWE cuz of his size (they like that), the mean look, and of course, he can go in the ring. Have we forgotten a few yrs ago when Sheamus was having the hardest hitting matches we had really seen in a while, week in and week out. The dude's a fucking workhorse.

As for Rollins, let's face it, he was destined for success too. The guy is a phenomenal performer.

Life isn't fair, especially when it comes to be judge entertainers.

Folk that entertain someone are USUALLY given more leeway than someone that person isn't entertained by.

But to be honest people need to stop acting like there's a such thing as a "self made" wrestler.

It's impossible to make it to the top of a wrestling company solely off your skills. At some point you need someone in managements backing whether its a road agent, creative, or the owners.

Someone else mentioned it, but pretty much the ROH fan boys are calling who should get hate and who should get cheered and it seems most of the IWC is not thinking for themselves. For example Samoa Joe seriously injured Tyson Kidd, and we saw a bunch of people defending him. People shitted all over Ryback, who "injured" Dolph Ziggler, but if you actually see the match (which most people did not) you'll see that Ziggler was careless and actually injured himself. Long story short, the pack mentality in wrestling is incredibly dumb.

I like Sheamus and his ring work. I think he was over-pushed and the ensuing backlash really hurt him. I happen to like Seth more because I have seen him perform for 8 or nine years and have a better connection with him. Not worried about worout partners. Sheamus was perceived to be receiving too much too soon while Seth, many feel, merits what he has been given. Evey fan will have a different perspective on that.

There are a few differences between the two, allow me to explain.

Rollins is well liked by (the majority of) the IWC, Sheamus is not. Sheamus also won the WWE championship within 5 and 1/2 months of being on the main roster and nobody really liked him up until that point anyway, winning the title that early probably caused people to sour on him further. 5 and a half months though, that is basically the equivalent of Braun Stowman being the WWE champion come next February. Madness.

Rollins was on the roster for near 3 years until he won the title, he is one of the best wrestlers in the world and a overall far superior to Sheamus in every way.
