- Below are recent WWE attendance figures:

* August 28th in Ft. Myers, FL drew 6,000 fans (John Cena tour)
* August 29th in Orlando drew 6,500 fans (Cena tour)
* August 29th in San Juan, PR drew 13,000 fans (Roman Reigns tour)

It is worth noting that its been happening for quite a while.

Reigns is hot with the casual fanbase. Why not put the title on him now?

Reigns has always been hot with the casuals. The problem is everytime he's put in the title picture, the vocal minority boos him. I would rather he turn heel before getting the belt, because he can show his full potential. Right now, he's all ring work. His mic work is average and of course he has a lot of charisma, but his character just isn't there because he's never doing anything of substance.

One guy makes a thread and a few agree. That'ts that huh? I mean for both honestly. Of course that thread after SS was bullshit. I didn't even reply to that thread because why would that be case?

Same here tho, I'm not going to look at these numbers and ASSUME that you are telling the truth that "this has been happening for a while". And even if true, like popularity implies anything other than merch sales.

Most have a problem with his resting in matches "roman's sleeping" to his Looney Toon mic delivery (now nonexistent) to his cringe-worthy booking to make sure he is cheered. None of these are opinions btw as some misconstrue. He does need to work on his cardio and mic skills (you may think he is fine and give him a pass but thats a prerogative). You definitely see these things just don't mind them and probably bring up Wrestler X as a means to sound right. Doesn't change the realities about THIS guy. Once again, the opinion part is whether you like him or not, not something that is considered an art form that actual has methods of practice.

I am neutral on Roman. When booked right, he is not bad-to awesome. All of his Shield days, Bryan feud and Lesnar match (good god not the feud. Tug of War with Brock? Why wouldn't Brock have murdered this rookie for touching his belt like that?). I also personally enjoyed the Wyatt feud when his daughter was brought up. It truly gained sympathy for a week or two and was never mentioned again. As of now, the feud has cooled off pretty hard.

When booked like he was at Survivor Series, Royal Rumble (twice) and this passed Summerslam, the product suffers. No one wanted to see the Roman Rumble where he destroys everyone and takes the Kane marker for most eliminations etc. Even as a Bryan fan I woudn't want it booked that way. Rumbles have always been about moments for multiple people. I've never seen so many people exist simply to make a guy look good. Topped with a Rock cherry and ALL of it booed is a massive problem (they also cheered the most hated guy on the roster Rusev).

It's simple, expect Philly, New York, Chicago, CA etc to boo the guy. Give the guy better booking SPECIFICALLY in these cities. Why push on with the KNOWN (they can't be daft) boo's? What's the dialogue on the SS tag match: "It's okay have Roman knocked out for most of the match. Fans want Ambrose anyway so give them Ambrose. Then when Ambrose has the match won single-handedly, have Roman tag back in for the MASSIVE POP" what the fudge could have happened in that room....

All of this guys worst booking happened in these wrestling cities..

Even on WF there's so many threads about Reigns, everybody has an opinion about him so it's normal that this would translate to real life too. The worst trait a wrestler can have is beeing unremarkable - and he's far from that so I'm not surprised he has a lot of fans. Sure there may be underdog favourites around here that only get praises but they only get a few threads here and there - however a wrestler that gets more attention, that includes both positive and negative is still more likely to have people tune in for him. It's like Cena where people watch him or go to houseshows/PPV events/RAW/SD to boo him just to shit on him, they're still supporting the guy which is kinda self-defeating hence why Cena always sucks up even to his haters. He doesn't hear boos or cheers, he seems money and support in those people.

Now Reigns is not Cena, he has some integrity, is FAR more emotional about his crowd reception (shaking and looking like he was crying post WM in the interview with The Rock) but in the end the result is the same. I really like Reigns trying hard, but IMHO it's still not enough since he's very boring right now. As @Legit BOSS said, a heel turn would be nice. WWE are too dumb to let him be entertaining since they're hellbent on top guys beeing boring drones so a heel turn would be great. Sure - people are going to tune him regardless but a more entertaining Reigns, if nothing else would produce better quality TV.

I find it somewhat amusing how if the numbers had come out to show that a Dean Ambrose tour was outdrawing a John Cena tour we'd be treated to multiple essays about how WWE is stupid for not pushing Dean but since it Reigns all of a sudden who draws doesnt matter. Same with Seth's failed World Title run. If it was Reigns wed here how WWE don't listen to the fans and he's a failed World Champ.

So wait, Reigns is on tour with the likes of Jericho and Randy Orton yet some how all the credit goes to Reigns? What? Do people not see who Reigns was on the card with? Jericho ,and Orton, but remember going head to head in other cities is not a proper comparison. Its going back to the same arenas that's the true comparison. I just find it odd that people give most credit to Reigns but ignore that Wyatt was his opponent too who has his own pretty big following too

Wow it's really sad that who "draws" has been determined the same way for decades and now all of a sudden it changes when it means something positive for Reigns. Wasn't Reigns blamed for the shitty ratings going into WM and the lack of a sell out? When Bryan was the B tour headliner these same threads were made to prove what a draw he was and how he deserved a bigger role. Now all of a sudden Seth isn't responsible for the current shitty ratings even though he opens and closes every show, something Reigns didn't do on RtWM, and the headliner isn't the draw, WWE is. I bet if Bryan or Ambrose had higher numbers in these same venues you would all be making fun of Reigns' failure to draw. So many people have completely exposed themselves as biased marks who stroke their dicks to Reigns' shortcomings and try to put asterisks on his successes.

Hear the crowd everytime his music hits, it's a big noise.

He's definitely popular, i laugh everytime people say he isn't over, if it was the case the hardcore crowds like brooklyn won't waste the time booing him as if he killed their mothers.

It's not the reaction he wants, but who's to blame? The creative for becoming hi ass into the "smark nemesis" during the whole RTWM.

I don't dislike Reigns but Jericho had the best attendance, bro. I'm no politician, bro. This was the only way to see Beyonce Jericho, bro. In 2020 I'm running for president, bro. I would die for the wrestling, bro. Push Cesaro, bro.

Edit: Vince doesn't give a fuck about Black wrestlers.

:cena6: What is this guy thinking Vince? What you gonna do with this!?

:vince2: How about we'd turn him heel, give him a a winning streak and put into a feud with you?

That's great for Reigns, it's a sign he's becoming a legit superstar, but you have to remember that the WWE doesn't specifically promote who's gonna be at what show anymore. They sell you on the idea that "The WWE is coming to YOUR hometown! Get your tickets now!!" blah blah blah and all that.

Basically, you buy a ticket and just hope that your favorite stars are there.

I was about to say something like this. Discussing these figures like they're a marker of somebody's drawing capacity is stupid.

A) Does anyone buy a ticket to see anyone in particular? Any house show I've ever been to, I had no idea what the matches were gonna be or who was there beforehand. People buy a ticket to see WWE live, not to see any one person.
B) Say that A wasn't true, why on Earth would we credit these attendances to a midcarder? Why are we saying REIGNS drew these cards when he was wrestling Wyatt, and when Jericho (who isn't on TV and overexposed much any more) and Orton and Sheamus were also there? IF people were coming to see specific people (highly doubtful) then 100% it is a mix of all those people and others, and not any one guy. It'd be bad enough going to a show and finding out Reigns was the main event, without having my attendance credited to him :tripsscust

Desperation, to me.
