Back in 1997, Vince was put in the position to adapt or die. He adapted. If there was competition today like there was in 97, could Vince adapt again or would his company go up in flames?
My opinion is that he would die. This is based on the fact that there is like one interesting story line in the whole company.
Vince has already adapted ... It's nostalgic fanboys that haven't and are being left behind.
1. Vince launched the network to keep up with streaming services and internet consumption of media also making PPV's more affordable than ever.
2. Vince has stopped letting wrestlers with concussions and other major injuries wrestle and make bad decisions with their lives
3. Vince gives in to social justice warriors just enough to stay away from controversy
4. Vince's programming is decent for adults but fully appreciated by kids
5. Vince started an indy promotion to keep smarks happy with high production values
6. Vince's roster is the cleanest it has ever been (in terms of drugs and drinking)
Yah ... the only ones not adapting are AE fanboys who haven't realized that there's plenty of room for Vince's current strategies to succeed and that Vince's company is more profitable despite poor ratings than it has ever been.
Vince is fully up to date and catering to the current society the way it is. Lol. That is why competition cannot even develop to the point of challenging Vince. Are you seeing what I'm saying? TNA stayed stuck in the past - and the fans left them behind to wither away in their delusions of trying to relive AE storylines over and over again. The fans have spoken. They moved on and Vince moved with them. Otherwise someone else would have come up by now and challenged him.
They have 'adapted' into becoming a phony version of the UFC that now punishes people for believing they are part of a wrestling company.
