The man that charisma forgot

Maybe I'm not seeing something, but how do people like Neville? Browsing a lot of threads, I find people praising him a lot, saying how he's one of the best parts of the show, deserves a push, etc. Judging based off of his main roster work, so far he seems like he belongs in TNA's X-Division. He has a few good spots (mainly just the finisher), he's small, can't talk to save his life, and has no charisma. Without saying "go watch his NXT stuff", can someone defend him to this point?

I think the thing is that people think because of his in ring work he will be as big as Stone Cold Steve Austin or something. The reality is the guy has no personality and does high flying moves yes, but we've been seeing wacky moves off the turnbuckle for decades now and it's really not a surprise anymore, essentially people are ignoring the fact that he has no drawing power at all. I do think in 2 or 3 years we will see "Adrian Level" in the Impact zone. Dude also looks like a cave man.

Great in-ring worker, amazing athleticism, great look imo. His moveset got watered down ever since the main roster callup. Him and Kalisto reminds me of the WCW Cruiserweight division era tbh that doesn't have to be a great talker/promo because he excels in everything else ring wise. I'm not really defending him, I also can see why people are not into him as much though.

Well his in ring work has slowed down in the main roster, not sure whos idea that is so he does seem very limited, considering he is a non character, doesnt get mic time and has little charisma as you say. But I'm still holding out for the type of matches he put on in NXT and his early Raw run (Rolins and Cena).

There is still hope that his in ring work will help him get over, hopefully him v stardust will be a new beginning.

Everyone has their opinion but in the case of some performers their storytelling in the ring more than makes up for lack of promo work. See Cesaro and his popularity.
However this could be the opportunity to let Neville show more character.
I don't know how anyone can deny Neville is a great talent. I have not seen balance from a performer like that ever.
I personally think he is doing well in this feud with Stardust thus far and hopefully people will see more of his character through this.

He is a prime example of why the Cruiswerweight title needs to be reinstated. All he is destined for on main roster are Mid Card and Tag gold I think. His lack of charisma is unfortunate because he is so fun to watch in the ring. I would love to be proven wrong but I am being realistic when I say that, he for sure does not have what it takes to be a viable WWE World Champ. Main stay in the mid card for many years though having some awesome matches.

He's already directionless.

Put him with Barret and build a credible tag team over a couple of years and than pull the trigger if/when he's over enough from that.

Factions and tagtwins have made people forget that stars can be built in a tag team over years, look at Edge.

I think big brusier with the mic and the hot-tag highflyer would compliment each other well. I think the Team Hell No hot-tag had a big part in getting Bryan over initially, it's the perfect time for high risk, high impact movesets to shine.

I've always said this but got alot of shit from NXT marks over it.. Neville would've been way better off with the Mighty Mouse gimmick. He would've been majorly over with the women & kids and gotten a big push out of it as a result.

His biggest flaw rn is that he doesn't really have shit to say as 'Neville' and would probably be better at cutting promos in character.

He can go in the ring, would've had that 'superhero' charisma and a direction for his promo & character work.

Pac is a decent worker. Spots or no spots he can handle his own. Can he talk? no but neither could RVD. If he was given something like a foam hands or something than he could get over.

He's basically in the same place Paul London would be had he still been in the WWE.
