I'm so sick of MMA people straight away being deemed as 'legit'.

Daria was saying she brings legitimacy to the competition. Well, I looked up her MMA background... 2 wins to 1 loss. Pathetic. Anyone could do that. Paige actually seemed offended. She said 'What? You think you could beat me?'.

Tanner- 3 wins to 1 loss.

Neither of these people has very strong MMA backgrounds. They aren't impressive enough to ride the coattails of 'I'm an MMA fighter, I'm legit'.

Just saying, them going on about it is kind of misleading.

Does this bother anybody else?

Oh please. Stop talking about stuff you have no idea about. Thats just the pro record. Before you go pro you need a few years of training. Then grapple tournaments, then shoot fights and lastly amateur mma fights. Anybody that is a pro mma fighter is "legit" whatever that now means. So you need 10 wins to be legit? :lmao I guess Lesnar is a little bitch then since he hasnt even fough 10 fights. Plus guys do bjj, amateur wrestling and whatever before they go into mma so the actual mma record says very little. As far as im concerned tanner has been practicing mma for a decade+ just because he isnt jon jones doesnt mean he cant kick 90% of the rosters ass.

Daria is exactly what the womens division needs. The jersey daredevil. Comes out im black leather and kicks ass. Fuck she,s so money. Tanner is decent but not a gamechanger I think Patrick is way better in every area. Patrick also has an amateur wrestling background which helps just as much as an mma background.

You guys are missing the point. People hear you did MMA and all of a sudden you're a supreme bad ass and deserve to be above the "fake fighters" because you're "legitimate" but this is fake fighting so why should it matter? Wade Barrett was a bare knuckle fighter, Heath Slater a Golden Gloves winner, Ziggler and Swagger were wrestling stars and Swagger beat the guy in college who decimated Brock. None of them are considered legitimate in fact they're all jobbers but people hear the letters MMA or UFC and you're automatically a God amongst men. If Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackmon could lose matches in WWE I don't see why Brock or anybody else "legitimate" can't as well.

Brock Lesnar could have never had a single MMA fight and still gotten over with his current character. It's all because he's so good at selling his persona.

Simply "I had MMA fights..." doesn't bring you legitimacy. You know why? Because anyone can have an MMA fight. Getting into MMA isn't hard.

Punk will be legit soon too. Maybe they'll actually allow him to wear some sponsors on his trunks like he wanted to do.

Just kinda buries wrestling when someone preaches about bringing legitimacy. It's not like they're really fighting, wrestling is all scripted. It's why HHH and Cena can beat former UFC champ Brock Lesnar.

Rick Powers "Patrick" was tag team champion

Here's the team

Patrick (Rick Powers) is still active roster in team "Sudden Impact"
http://www.marylandwrestling.com/#!activeroster/c1r09

Several videos of him wrestling on YouTube, the one where he got attacked by Lita was removed due to the controversy its caused. It spread like wildfire cause Patrick had eluded to not meeting Lita before but she has wrestled him before as Rick Powers.

Next is they have replaced Diana with new member.

Thing is this new member is a fake, she already had a wwe contract in acting gigs. Behind the scenes, she was in Rosebuds, and she played the physical therapist that Daniel "had affair with" during Stephanie vs Brie storyline.

Chelsea Green

This isn't a real competition.

It's planted with WWE employees already and so much faked bullshit like fight between Tanner and Rick Powers, notice how as they exited camera frame left you didn't hear the fight anymore instantly but the folks on couch.

As soon as they left frame they stopped acting as the scene was scripted.

The reason the ratings are embarrassing, plus voting by people is ignored, its all predetermined.

Anyone that would even try MMA and put their bodies on the line is legit brave/crazy.

A low win/loss record is certainly a good indicator how good someone has done in their career, but it doesn't mean they can't fuck you up or a wrestler. Not everyone can go into MMA and endure the amount of pain those athletes have to go though to make a living. So in that respect you have to respect Tanner and Daria because they legit can take a beating or have put themselves in danger in fights in the octagon. Sure the sample size or their win/loss record is pedestrian compared to more famous fighters, but like I said to even step into an octagon takes a lot of balls.

They have a right to say whatever they want. After all, they're part of a competition and it's in their best interests to sell themselves as much as possible in order to gain any type of advantage if they want to win. If they have MMA backgrounds, why not use whatever experience they have to their advantage. That being said though, it's up to them to back up those words and prove that they are "legit", and they haven't had much of an opportunity to do that yet. I know Daria is eliminated, but Tanner still has time to back up his words. I'm not saying he eventually will so we'll just have to wait and see.

The one thing is, generally MMA fighters train pretty hard. The training for Boxing, MMA and Wrestling is probably about the same (more or less in the same book).

It is hardcore conditioning for prolonged bodily abuse, with insane amount of high rate cardio.

This is why I think Tanner is tearing everyone up, cause he probably has been doing training that is perfect for this competition.

Because they are trained and could stretch or stiff people

That's cool. I mean look at alberto del rio, minoru suzuki, ken shamrock, or shinsuke nakamura. even guys like kurt angle, brock, shelton, steve blackman, iron shiek, samoa joe, rvd, marc mero

Or when people look at military guys. Like sgt slaughter, road dogg, lashley.

When you get put with a tough guy gimmick it's usually because you have a background in being trained to take people out.

A big part of old time wrestling and even current day is keeping it full of legit people.

Look at Dalton Castle, completely legit greco-roman olympic calibre wrestler. He's got the gayest gimmick besides chad gable. But they got that background.

Same with Swagger, Ziggler, and when they talk about that wrestling.

It doesn't matter to smarks, but to casuals they go "wow they must be tough"

Brock was ufc champion and the biggest ppv draw besides pacquiao and mayweather. People wanted to see brock fight. The ufc title was a big part of the draw.

You bet your ass when ronda retires wwe will throw money to bring her in.

Going out to fight makes you a different type of person. I know daria trains out of csw with Josh Barnett and that gym is crazy tough.

But you know fighting is tough. You fight in amatuers and sporadically in pro if you are just starting which these two seemingly are.

It's really just them having built in gimmicks. Calm down

Brock could have had a longer and more successful career had he never got that disease. For a guy who was still learning, he accomplished a lot in the UFC. Things that I would have liked Lesnar to work on would have been his defense especially when the opponent throws a punch, you need to evade it while not turning your face away. Brock didn't have a glass chin, he just had a poor defense technique. His wrestling skills and ground game were indeed world class. Also he had freakish speed and cardio for a guy of his size. He could have had a dominant run stretching for a decade if he didn't get diverticulitis and made an effort to defend punches & kicks properly.

Sorry, Brock had a China chin. He was terrified of being punched in the face. How do I know? He committed the cardinal sin when punched: he backed up. That's also not only a no no from a technical standpoint but a mental standpoint. If you're not afraid and you get hit, you hit back or charge in.

Flame on

Brock Lesnar is the only guy who can brag about being a WWE superstar and also being a UFC fighter. Tanner really is cocky and needs to be taken down a peg or two

My whole thing is that them saying they're legit because they had a few fights in some basement MMA thing is silly. They both look meh and the fact they think MMA makes them better is even more laughable. The show is stupid anyways, after Luke lost last year to that corny dork Andy I knew it is all pretty much rigged.

I almost find it amusing that a gymnast and a bunch of other dorks are trying their hand at having a legitimate opinion about mixed martial arts. Saying things such as it's easy to get into UFC and or MMA in general. For you guys being people that have so much "first-hand knowledge", the reality is it costs a lot of money, time, and work to even get sanctioned for an amatuer fight. much less signed for a professional one. Minimum of one to two years training at a reputable gym for amatuer, and that's not including the specific training guys have that they've been doing for years. You guys speak as if doing MMA doesn't make you legit. You are right to an extent, but it sure as hell makes you more legit then you were. I like pro-wrestling, but the reality is it's fake, and I see plenty of people that clearly get upset and lose site of that and try to legitimize a stuntman as somebody that can kick ass. Can they still? Sure, but it's sure as hell not because of their professional wrestling training i.e. Brock Lesnar. Where as it's the contrary for MMA. Maybe you guys should go to your local MMA gym and try to pick some fights with some of these "crappy" amatuers with only two or three wins so you can actually get some first-hand knowledge on what they are about. I got my money on the gymnast who will 450 splash one of these guys to death though...sic.
