Announce that titles will be restructured. We would have the World Championship title, World Heavyweight Championship title, U.S Heavyweight Championship title, Womens Championship title, and the return of the Light Heavyweight Championship title, unfortunately for HHH this means the end of the Tag-Team titles. This would result in more intriguing singles matches, number one contender matches, better organizational structure including creative and booking by making each title and feud have importance. Imagine the Royal Rumble winner having one of two options, imagine having the MITB winner be given one of two options. It keeps the top two champions guessing, but the focus shifts to MITB winner because he would have a year to cash so always leaving both champions trying to keep up a step ahead.
Obviously, keep the fans wondering if the World Championship title is the main one or if the World Heavyweight Championship title is the main one. The reality is that the World Championship title would be the main one as this would be a tribute to the original purpose of the intercontinental title where the hardest worker and most marketable would be rewarded with the title, the purpose would be this title goes to the one that can carry the brand for a long time. The way this would work is that the Intercontinental Champion wins the Royal Rumble which automatically makes him the number one contender for the WWE WHC so you would assume that a merger of two titles is in the works, but a controversial ending to a double pin count results in two winners at WrestleMania, and then out comes Shane McMahon and announces that he is the new president of WWE and informs that since both somehow found a loophole to win that we automatically have two new champions, the World Champion who was the former Intercontinental Champion, and the former WWE WHC is the new World Heavyweight Champion. Ideally, you would want the new World Heavyweight Champion to be a legitimate Heavyweight. Now before some people get mad, please look up the definition and history of the titles between Intercontinental and World and then tell me why the Intercontinental Championship has almost all the continents on the plaque/plate and then try and separate the synonyms, lol.
Anyways, on the following Raw we see Shane say he was appointed the new President after I somehow inherited and had a meeting with the board of directors where we immediately fired Paul after discovering his affairs and decided this was the best course of action to proceed in order to keep business new and improved. Stephanie McMahon has taken a leave of absence so the interim CBO is Paul Heyman. Shane announces that the show must go on and that tonight we will have a co-main event battle royal to determine the number one contender for two titles, one for the World Championship, and the other for the World Heavyweight Championship. Shane announces that the show must go on and since he needs important matters to tend to at the office along with his new EVP of Talent, Live Events and Creative....William Regal. He also announces that he has appointed an interim general manager for Raw and SmackDown....Jim Ross. One of the first things Jim Ross does is fire Cole and JBL, and announces their replacements will be Joel E Gertner and Joey Styles, and keeps Saxton until further notice. During Raw we have a tag-team championship match for the vacant titles...unfortunately both tag-teams manage to lose via dq. The ref is confused as what to do, so Jim Ross comes back out and announces that the Tag-Team titles are now effectively deactivated.
After commercial break we have a relaxing match between Paige and Eva Marie....until Paige starts swearing on live tv and Eva Marie becomes a super bitch and a "real fight" ensues. As refs try to break it up, Eva Marie warns them not to get involved in a bitch fight. Once again this part is tape delayed and people assume it's not actually scripted. Paige says that she is sick and tired of the PG crap. With the commentary of Joey Styles and Gertner, and Paige and Eva Marie's actions we can safely assume that the PG era is slowly coming to an end before our very own eyes. This match ends in a no contest after a lengthy battle.
We come back from commercial and we see Jim Ross talking to someone but we can't see who it is. As Cena has regained his U.S Championship and issues his U.S Open Challenge and does his 10 minute promo....his mic gets cut off and the crowd erupts when they see Big Cass (Colin Cassady) on stage cutting a promo and says that Cena is sawft. After a lengthy match, Cassady emerges as the new U.S Championship, and after he is done celebrating he announces that the U.S Championship is now the U.S Heavyweight Championship title. This title will be reserved for the veteran on his way out or meant for pushing the legit rookie heavyweight that has potential. This title can be viewed as the exit title for the legit heavyweight veterans set to retire or for the legit rookie heavyweight with the potential to become World Heavyweight Champion down the road, or a temporary concessionary heavyweight title to put someone over, but mostly viewed as an important entry or exit title.
After commercial we see a whole bunch of former tag-team contenders pissed off who demand to know what will happen to them. J.R informs them that they will take part in the battle royals. Young enters the Battle Royal for the World Championship, while Titus enters the battle royal for the World Heavyweight Champion. You get the idea.
After the participants are finally organized, we are treated to Miz Tv and informs everyone that he changed his guests because he heard a rumor so he brings out X-Pac, Jeff Hardy, Christian, Hornswoggle with all of them revealing to Jim Ross that they flew as fast as they could to the arena after hearing that the Light Heavyweight title will be reactivated, but that they have some concerns....one cannot be Light and Heavyweight. Jim Ross agrees and decides to rename the reactivated title the Cruiserweight Championship. Since some of the former champions of that division are right there in the ring, Jim Ross announces an impromptu battle royal with a few surprises.....as there are only 2 participants left, Jeff Hardy is tossing Miz over the ropes, and just as Miz hits the mat, out comes Enzo Amore to the shock of the crowd and tosses out Jeff Hardy to become the new Cruiserweight Champion. This reactivated title or new title is meant for the non-legit heavyweight that has potential to carry the brand and eventually become World Champion.
We see the return of Trish Stratus, Lita, Mickie James address their concerns about the Divas Division to Jim Ross and he agrees that something needs to be done and will address it on SmackDown. Now we see Paige and Eva Marie making out for unknown reasons.
We return from commercial break and we see the battle royal is set to begin for the number one contedership for the World Heavyweight title. After a lengthy battle....Roman Reigns emerges as the new number one contender after having Strowman and Harper eliminated. Out comes the World Heavyweight Champion in a stare down....and also the MITB winner teasing that he is going to cash in.
We return from commercial break and we see the battle royal is set to begin for the number one contendership for the World Championship. After a lengthy battle....Dean Ambrose emerges as the new number one contender, but out comes the current World Champion and has a few words with Ambrose. Ambrose wastes no time in attacking the World Champion. Out of nowhere Sheamus rushes to the ring, brogue kicks Seth Rollins and pins him to become the new World Champion. End of Raw, but most importantly, an end of the PG Era and a new direction.
