Call Up Corey Graves to The Main Roster

People always want to talk about calling up new wrestlers from NXT, but we really need is a better commentator. Corey Graves is that guy. For those who don't watch NXT, he provides some CM Punk esque heel commentary and comedy that the main roster desperately needs. Byron Saxton is AWFUL! He bores me to death and he never says anything memorable. I'd rather have solo Cole commentary with endless plugging than Byron on the mic. Get rid of him and promote Corey ASAP! If we're stuck with Saxton, hopefully JBL retires and Corey replaces him so we can restore order to main roster commentary.

It doesn't matter. The commentary has the same problem the women do. Calling up Corey Graves is going to do no more for the commentary than calling up the women on NXT, because newsflash, WWE isn't going to conform to them, THEY are going to conform to WWE. They will be the next geeks who take up space and contribute nothing. The problem is the PHILOSOPHY behind commentary. I'll do you one better than Corey Graves, call up William Regal, who does better commentary than anybody I've heard in years. I'll tell you exactly what's gonna happen, William Regal's gonna suck.

Doesn't matter who's on commentary, they're not going to have the freedom to call the matches. It'll just be more of the same shilling & inane chatter.

I don't think he's ready. I like him in nxt, but I think it's because he knows the players.

Bring him up for the fall season i think. Have him travel with the main roster for a bit before putting him on raw. I do think in some months he'd be great on raw.

But I also think he'll be placed (by Vince) in a more specific alignment (heel or face). He's not a total heel now and he needs to develop the specificity first.

All I want for Graves is him managing Baron Corbin. Where he commentates is irrelevant to me. He's pretty decent on commentary and I was already a fan of him as a wrestler, so I'm cool with whatever he does.

I'm in the minority here but I don't mind Byron Saxton, he's just there for me and doesn't bore me or anything, it's kind of like I can take or leave him and don't really have an opinion on him as times gone by.

Cole is good at his job, we can see that cause he takes all the duties, but I'd rather Byron be there than Cole and Lawler, I actually quite like JBL but they're so dictated to anyway whoever is there on the main roster are probably going to be doing the same thing.

I agree with your sentiments on Corey Graves though, I really like him too, I actually like Scott Stanford also as he brings that sports feel a little like JR did, however I think people would complain about him also if he was there, I dunno.

But yeah, I think whoever gets on the main roster commentary are going to become tedious after a while, they all seem to repeat the same pattern unfortunately.

I can tune out the commentary so I really don't care. WWE commentary is just there, they are very stagnant and need a big moment or match for example I enjoyed the commentary during the Cena cesaro match. Graves is better suited for nxt. I'd rather Tom Phillips his no Jr or striker but he brings a lot of energy to the booth

i just really miss the Jim ross aspect of commentary. I miss commentators calling all of the moves and giving brief backgrounds about them versus these tangents about nothing then naming signature moves.

I'd prefer Graves/JBL/Cole lineup for the shows. demote Saxton and Lawler to the superstars show.

I'm sure if Corey managed to 'accidentally' show off his trim, tattooed body at ringside, Vinnie Mac and Kevin Dumb may go easy on the verbal instructions.

:vince 'Ahuh...you can say whatever you want Corey Graves, whatever you want....just remember to wear a tighter shirt next time dammit!'
