As I've noted before, the indie formula is not working. Seth Rollins is not working as champion and even if they were to book him strong forward, would that really change anything? They're currently building Ambrose and Reigns as the new mega team. A modern day mega powers if you will (no I am not comparing stars but really that's the only good comparison).
First - They need to get the belt off Rollins and build him as a singles performer without being such a bitch. You can be a whiny, chickenshit heel while still retaining credibility. Jericho, Edge, Christian, Randy Orton, and many others have made careers off of this. It is possible. But this will take just as much time as it took to establish him as the bitch heel to begin with. The turning point of his character was the beatdown by Orton. How do you have a guy beaten down, doesn't fight back, and begs for mercy then expect him to remain credible. I never remember that happening to Edge or Orton and if it did it was only to trap them into an attack.
Second - Have Reigns or Ambrose turn heel on the other. Before I was thinking Ambrose on Reigns but now I'm thinking the reverse. Have Reigns build himself as Ambrose's strongest ally on to cash in the briefcase of him. This should happen at Summerslam. HHH should face Rollins and Lesnar should come back to face Reigns. Lesnar could say he wants a shot at the title, then Reigns could come out talking shit leading to a match. Lesnar loses due to interference by Rollins (they have a match at Survivor Series) then later that night Ambrose faces whoever in the main event only for Reigns to spear him out of nowhere. He cashes in, instant top heel.
This won't save the entire show but the midcard is much more intricate and a bit harder to manage
The Divas division just needs better stories and better wrestling. There's no point in giving them a 10 minute match if nobody gives a fuck and they wrestle like shit
