Sting claimed he came to WWE to "take HHH down" for his abuses of power in the Authority, rather than reignite the Monday night Wars. In storyline, Sting failed to do that and (god help us) the Authority angle is still going strong and continually alienating viewers as we speak. I don't have faith in WWE creative to give Sting a solid redemption angle, and even so, he shook hands with HHH after the match. What's the point now?

Re: sting vs who at summerslam?

I wish he would come back as Joker Sting. I don't know if anybody saw him on TNA as Joker Sting, but it was good. He won't be back, but if he did come back, he'd probably wrestle Kane.

If they want to do the Taker match still, Sting would have to beat the Son-in-Law at SummerSlam. Too bad he couldn't put his ego aside and ultimately cost the WWE yet another big-money match.

If Orton was still heel Sting vs. Orton would have been cool.

At this point I'd hope he gets a win or two over someone, anyone (hopefully the son-in-law) to regain the momentum he lost, and then he can eventually put over Balor.

I think when he left TNA, WWE just felt morally obligated to offer him a contract because of his great NWA/Wcw career.
Because of old fans who still appreciate him, and the nerdy ones who wanted his match with Undertaker because of attire similarity...

Now that he had his WM moment I think Vince will ban him from wrestling again in his company, just like he did with Flair, Finlay, Christian and others.

I could see Sting Vs Bray. But logically if he does wrestle for wwe again it well be Taker. But the match should of happened ten years ago, both well past their prime.

I was thinking of this the other day. To me if he's going to wrestle Taker at WM 32 (big if but if he does) then he needs to wrestle at Summerslam or Royal Rumble and get a big win against somebody to build him up. He can't maintain credibility by just showing up once a year to job to attitude era WWE stars.
