Roman Reigns could be the biggest heel in the company

Roman Reigns could be the biggest heel in the company if the WWE was smart.

Just have him join the authority, and get rid of his stupid current attire, put him in the suit and tie like he had in NXT and let HHH preach that he is the chosen one since we all know he is anyways.
That would get him instant heel heat and could go on and talk about how the fans turned their backs on him, a lot like the rock did back in the day.

There is a lot they could do with this plus he wouldn't need to be the chicken shit heel that Rolllins is. HE could back up what he says. And the best way to pull this off would be having HHH turn on Rollins saying he wasn't holding his weight and how he was a disapointment. This could turn Rollins into a face which he is better suited for anyways.

You could let Reigns run as a heel for as long as it works then when you want to turn him back face to make him huge like the rock have the blow off match at some WM against HHH.

The WWE needs some bad ass heels not all chicken shit ones and Reigns is the perfect guy. Plus there are tons of jobber faces he could run through. Just make him the MITB winner and he can cash it on Rollins at some point.

Would've agreed with you if this was during the RTWM, but he's done a good job of winning back the crowd since then and isn't the cheesy cornball he was in January. After all this effort, it would be kinda pointless to turn him heel now.

I think they should have executed a Reigns/Rollins double turn at WrestleMania. Imagine if Rollins ran down for the cash-in, and then during the match J&J turned on him, helped Reigns pin Rollins for the title, and then afterward Triple H and Stephanie came out and raised Reigns onto their shoulders? The boos would have spectacular. It would have been an iconic moment. It also would have saved Rollins from a horribly booked run as champion like what happened to Orton when he was The Authority's Champion.

There's still time to make Reigns into a corporate heel, but I don't see WWE doing it since that would make too much sense. Ideally, he'd be the top suit-wearing heel; the top (Monster) heel should be Luke Harper; Wade Barrett should be presented as a more conventional top heel; and maybe next year, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, and Uhaa Nation should be an nWo-like heel/tweener faction that eventually turns face and/or fragments and leads into other feuds.

That would have been a great idea plus you could have played out the same thing where Lesnar destroys everyone gets suspended then that would set up a match of Lesnar vs Reigns at summerslam, where you could have Reigns go over Lesnar to get him even more heat, plus that would make Reings a made man.

Yup, it's so easy and obvious.

Although, and I've said this before on here, I'd rather see him lead a Samoan/family group with The Usos and Samoa Joe. They'd look like a Samoan 4 Horsemen. Can you imagine how impressive a group that would be standing shoulder to shoulder.

I'm pretty sick of The Authority gimmick.

Don't really see the appeal of heels. Rusev, Sheamus, Wyatt, & Harper are not as interesting as Ambrose, Reigns, Ziggler, & Neville. Rollins & Barrett are fine, while Cena & Orton are boring so there's that. But I don't get why not being the villain is boring. I could do without the super comeback matches, but other than that, I like faces. I hate hearing heels do nothing but bitch in almost every single promo like Wyatt, Rollins, & Barrett. Shut the fuck up already. Unless Reigns does something different like New Day, I don't want to see him as a heel.

I agree with your angle. I actually pitched this idea to friends when the Shield was still together. The rumors were out about Reigns taking over for Cena, fans had started to complain-- I said it would be the perfect time to make Reigns the real and caricature version of the face of the company. The perfect kayfabe. But when the WWE broke them up, they chose Rollins instead. His gimmick failed because (1) we've seen it before and (2) fans don't view Rollins as the future "face" of the company, like they view Reigns, who also has the attitude and cockiness that matches up better with the gimmick than Rollins ever did.

It is too late to go in that direction now, because now Orton and Rollins have already done that. Reigns doing the same washed out gimmick would just further ruin the show and Reigns' potential (though I'm confident, he could do more with that gimmick than Rollins ever could). Reigns is the perfect face. He sells, he draws, fans and haters alike remain more interested in his situation than they are others. It would be stupid for the WWE to turn him heel and have him end up like Ryback did some time ago. It's not broke, there's no need to fix it. They could add a little more edge to his character, get some of his cousins involved, make it "Roman Empire" or some mess, bring some more excitement. At the moment Reigns is just fine, he just needs something to do besides wrestling Show and Kane. You may not like him and a bunch of bitter other fans may not like him, but most fans like him. His sales, appearances and WWE's continued faith in him speaks volumes.

I made a thread awhile back with similar sentiments. He would have been perfect as the Corporate Champ. Give him a black suit & tie and a smug dispisition? Ladies still would have swooned and guys would have still paid to see him get his ass kicked. He would have been the heel of the main event.

As it stands now though, a heel turn isn't necessary. He's as over as he has ever been and fans are organically rallying behind him. So long as they continue to build towards his ascension slowly and don't jump the gun, his baby face persona and run will be fine.

His promos are still CENA cheesy, his promos could be amazing and great if he was a heel , like he was in NXT.

If they are not going to turn him heel that is fine, but they need to at least get him out of the CENA style booking and let him cut his own promos not these stupid corny cartoon type promos that Cena has made for the past ten years.

If Brock hadn't re-signed, I would've definitely gone for a heel Reigns.

Fuck over Lesnar at WM and get with Heyman. Join The Authority the night after and then screw over Rollins during the MITB cash-in to become the crown jewel.

I think that if WWE turns Roman heel, i'd like to see Roman with the arrogant attitude and the barbaric like move-set in the ring. Roman could be big with the heel turn.

Except he's not the Rock.

Rock didn't need to become the Corporate Champ to be good. He was already super over before that heel turn. The reason people love that heel run is because it's unique in the fact of how popular Rock was, and still being the biggest heel on the roster.

Roman turning heel isn't going to make him suddenly get better on the mic or in the ring.

The rock was shit when he was a face. It was not until he turned heel that he could let loose and become great. That is what Reigns needs. Reigns needs to stop being a cheesy smiling face and be a bad ass heel who can cut bad ass promos just like the rock did when he was heel for the first time.

And I disagree, Reigns turning heel would be better on the mic because the WWE could just let him vent and being a bad ass heel, he could just destroy people, instead of doing the super Cena booking where Reigns gets his ass kicked most of the match the comes back with a few moves and wins.

Yeah Roman turning heel would be great. I don't see it happening anytime soon though.

I think this is the path to take if he has any chance of being the top face of the company. He'll have less pressure on him while he continues to cut his teeth in the business. Everybody loves the pay off of a monster heel turning face, down the line. It's also important to keep the guy interesting and there's nothing more uninteresting than a Cena like Face run that just won't end.

The time to do this has passed. It would have been great last year when The Shield first disbanded, but at this point Rollins is so far entrenched into his heel role as The Authority's golden boy that it would be senseless to just suddenly have Reigns replace him out of nowhere. Plus, as said above, Seth's face turn needs to begin with Rollins turning on The Authority, not the other way around.

I agree that Reigns could make an excellent heel (seeing how upset people got just from a simple comment he made like "My haters hate me because they hate their lives." sort of demonstrates that to me), but not as The Authority's chosen one.

I also don't like the sentiment of "Reigns has been a face his entire 1 year long singles career. He's Cena 2.0." Gimme a break. There will be plenty of time to turn him heel if need be. Now is not the time. It's literally been just a year. Everyone seems to be cool with Ambrose staying face & he's been a singles wrestler the same amount of time as Reigns. Why now?

Difference is, is that Ambrose got organically over. That's no slant on Reigns though because I don't think he was given a chance to do it that way. At this moment in time if you turn Ambrose heel to go after Reigns? I don't think they will get the desired crowd reaction. I think a Reigns heel turn benefits him hugely in the long run. However, I don't see either turning heel in the near future. The lack of faces that are actually over at the top dictates this.

Nah they'd be better just saying fuck it and making him a bad ass face. If he's wrestlingf or free it should be him squashing people. Give him short to the point yet violent matches. Let him cut short promos on the destruction he'll bring to any given opponent.

If you turn him into a badass heel I feel like he's just going to get hardcore fan cheers and boos from women and kids like a bizzaro Cena.

A bad ass face that destroys everyone is not fun and is boring. Just like Goldberg was or like one that never loses like Cena gets old fast. You have to have the heel be the unstoppable bad ass one, so you can build up faces to beat them. The only way to have a bad ass face lose is by fuckery and that is just MEH. But when that person is a heel, you can put the face over cleanly and its a big deal.
