Time flies, jesus christ! had nostalgia, decided to watch some Eddie videos, and realised he did in 2005! that is completely insane, that it has been 10 years since I lost one of my favorite wrestlers. Still remember the day I heard he died, I went on WWE.Com and it came up with the announcement of his death.
Growing up as a wrestling fan (and my older brother), my parents became familiar with most of the wrestlers, so they knew who Eddie Guerrero was because I had like 4 action figures of him at the time :') miss being 14. Still remember, the night he died, I pulled out my JBL action figure and I had Eddie jump off from the top of my wardrobe and do a frogsplash onto JBL to win the WWE title. (Reminiscent of the steel cage match on Smackdown in 2004, where Eddie got screwed by Kurt. Damn, I remember screaming 'WIN THE TITLE EDDIE, WIN THE TITLE!'
Cant believe it's been 10 years, really puts into perspective how time really does go so quickly and you a blink a few times, and 10 years seem to go pass. <3 VIVA LA RAZA FOR EVER!

Thats exactly how I found out. Living in sweden the only time wrestling was on tv was 2003-2005 (smackdown) on a channel called ztv. No raw and no ppvs plus this was pre youtube and all that stuff and I as a young kid at the age of 10 didnt know any other places to get wrestling but I was hooked from the getgo and Eddie became one of my favorites along with guys like Angle and Benoit. Really sad when he died. One of the alltime greats!
Would be awsome if wwe did a tribute show for him November 13th 2015 or maybe even a dvd with his best matches and current guys talking about him. I know Sasha Banks and Seth Rollins have Eddie as one of there alltime favorites. Im sure theres a few more that could talk some about him.
Just think how the landscape of WWE would be different if Eddie hadn't passed away. He would have had more classic matches and a few more World title reigns by now.
I was 13 and on vacation with my parents, my sister called and said he died and I was actually in my room of the hotel playing with my Eddie action figure. So I remember that awful moment quite clearly.
It ruined the whole trip and I just wanted to get home so I could watch Raw and SD
My first WWE show live was just after WrestleMania 21 so Eddie and Rey faced off in the first match, and I remember thinking how cool it would be to meet Eddie one day. Fast forward a few months later and this horrible day happened..
I found out watching the news. My grandma was in tears cus he was her favorite wrestler and then sometimes when I watched TNA and she saw Hector Guerrero she would get sad because of his resemblance to him.
I was saddened too I still have that I am your papi shirt even tho it doesn't fit me no more I kept it and is ones of my precious possessions.
He would have in no way shape or form, been anywhere near her. He had a family and was happy with them for Chrissakes! Don't tell me that this related to that Game gimmick which he was supposed to be after the Blue Blazer angle! That wasn't a gimmick, it was one of those 10 million names that HHH tried to call himself in order to get over.
Man I must admit eddie guerrero was one of my favorite wrestlers growing up I really loved smackdown from 2002-2005 and other than lesnar and angle eddie was a reason why I loved the show when I heard he died in 2005 I was bummed so yes I miss him.
At the time I'd stopped watching since 2001 but I remember thinking how real it made the industry feel, had the same feeling when Davey boy died. It was like your childhood losing its innocence. A fantastic wrestler and probably one of the nicest guys the industry has ever seen. Forever missed. Viva la raza
Wow time flies I stopped watching wrestling around the time he died so I didn't find out till like 4 days after he died. I was pretty shocked because I wasn't too "smark" back then so I wasn't aware of his drug history etc. Massive shame, massive talent. Someone who could just make you smile
He was one of my favourite wrestlers back then and i was interested to see where he was going with the Batista angle and of course, he was meant to be in team Smackdown against team RAW. But wow, 10 years already. I miss him
Time does flie! As a child, Eddie was my favourite wrestler, so when I found out that he passed away, I cried like a little girl. I will never forget Eddie winning the WWE Championship at No Way Out 04. VIVA LA RAZA!
Eddie was one of the greatest all rounders in the history of the business
Miss him a hell of a lot. One of the most entertaining guys I've seen who was taken far too early.
Him winning the belt at No Way Out is still one of my favourite moments as a fan and I don't know if they could ever top Eddie/Benoit as a closing moment for Wrestlemania.
Would have loved to finally see him wrestle HBK as well.
I remember at the time, believing that the chairshot to Eddie Guerrero by Mr Kennedy being the reason to his death. Oh, how stupid I felt until I found out that wasn't the cause at all. Never used online sites at the time.
Pretty much the worst day I've experienced as a wrestling fan. The first guy who taught me I could love a heel just as much as a face (Since I was 8 I just loved the 'good guys') I remember literally crying when I watched the show. A few days back my little brother asked me why I cried over Eddie and I just asked him how he'd feel if Rollins lost the belt tomorrow and in a year time just as he was about to win it back he died. I know Eddie was a face during his reign so not the best analogy but fair to say the kid got the point. (He's 11 and a Rollins fan similar to how I was with Eddie)
R.I.P Eddie. Viva la Raza
10 years since Eddie died thats gone so fast but he still missed
