Why do these smarks still chant "Goldberg" at Ryback?

I mean the guy has gotten way better in the ring lately. He's not green anymore and actually has pretty good matches. So, what's with people still chanting "Goldberg"? He's came so far from where he was in 2012 and 2013, so why all the hate?

That was very frustrating to watch, Ryback came out no longer wearing the singlet to give a which turned out to be a great promo. He had barely open his mouth and the crowd were drowning him out for what reason...to chant Goldberg? Standard case of a crowd only chanting to serve themselves unfortunately. Nothing wrong with a crowd being loud etc but then theres disruptive and disrespectful in my eyes. Credit to Ryback for handling it like a pro, it almost ruined a great segment as they were generally disruptive through the segment.

The crowd never even gave him an opportunity to get into his promo before they started with the nonsense. A shame too, because he delivered a great one. I know people have noticeable mental lag when it comes to tracking improvement in performance, but Ryback is damn good on the mic these days. Hell, he's a beast in the ring too.

I don't get why people whine and moan over how people react at shows. Guess what? They paid money to go to the show, and you did not. Therefore, they can react however the fuck they please. You don't like it? Don't watch the show that particular week. The crying that goes on week after week over how the crowds (that spend their money, btw) react is absolutely hilarious. Oh, a poor wrestler got booed or chanted at, wah? It's amazing how soft society has gotten. Some folks wouldn't have made it 10-20 years ago. Scary to think about.

I haven't seen anyone say that they can't react however they please. You're absolutely right. They are free to react however they please. Just like others are free to react to them by calling it stupid.

Why do people always say if you paid your money you can chant whatever you want, this is such a ridiculous sentiment. You paid for your ticket, not everyone's and I know this is a crazy concept but some people go to the shows because they enjoy them. So here you are yelling all show long, annoying the piss out of every non smark in your section, trying to get a chant started and it finally happens 40 seconds into a promo that nobody knew at that point whether it would be bad or not. Great, so now you and your fellow asshats are entertained but what about all the people who did want to hear that promo? It's not like they can cancel your chant out.

Or what about the people singing 'John Cena sucks', they extended the length of his segment but that just means time has to be cut from somewhere else. You think it's coming from Roman Reigns? No it's coming from the Cesaros and Zigglers but that's okay because you paid your money and if you want to ruin the show its your right.

It's largely because your modern day fan is a massive spastic. Type of bellend who thinks they're the cutting edge of comedy chanting Sexual Chocolate at Mark Henry, or Husky Harris at Bray Wyatt. It's cringeworthy.

The WWE is in a piss poor state at the moment, but you could argue the crowds have regressed the most. One too many cringeworthy chants and a complete lack of enthusiasm when something decent is actually happening in the ring.

Well I could hazard a guess with unreliable results (me analysing the underlying motivations of people I've never met and all) but fortunately our fine forum is brimming with folks who can psychoanalyse and diagnose perfect strangers.

From our team of experts we can ascertain that they have miserable lives, they want to feel cool, and they aren't satisfied with anything.

Also, if you dislike their chanting and wish to express your frustration it can automatically be diagnosed that you don't go to WWE shows, you're weeping, you're soft and wouldn't have survived the 90s, you're complaining all day long and you tell other people that they should just like the product.

So there you have it, more quality insights from our budding psychologists here. Getting to know your fellow man, one blind assertion at a time.

goldberg was and probably will be a more explosive and powerful wrestler than ryback, but ryback is just way better on the mic and in segments than goldberg. i find ryback more entertaining then i ever found goldberg. dude is a complete goofy meathead.

its like comics. goldberg=deathstroke and ryback=deadpool

Goldberg wasn't that great of a wrestler. Sure, he was intense, but the guy was really unprofessional and legitimately tried to hurt people.
