First one that pops into my head is Derrick Bateman, or EC3 or whatever u want to call him. He was a nothing guy in WWE really, made him a comedy character on NXT and then they released him and he went to TNA and i havent seen loads of his EC3 character but what i have seen of him was really really entertaining. He's got a great heel vibe, u really wanna punch the guy. I'm not saying he'd be THE guy, but he'd certainly have been an entertaining upper mid-card guy and i think they prematurely kicked him out really....
Sean O'Haire has to be one of the biggest names, he was starting to get a push and was on the tip of possibly blowing up when all of the sudden he just disappeared.
From what I can remember of him (thanks to YouTube ) he was Vickie's boyfriend, then had a random face turn, feuded with Vickie and then vanished!
Here is a 'highlight' of his face run:
Derrick Bateman for sure. He was fucking hilarious on NXT with Bryan. The guy is legitmately funny and now is currently one of the best heel characters in the world.
Totally agree. It was a great character, the way they fucking fired him and threw him under the bus after that awful terrorist angle was shameful. They wrote that shit and then threw him under the bus when it drew negative attention. Vince and CO. can be some real spineless cowards at times.
Drew Galloway aka Drew McIntyre. He walked in and was a star in TNA just like that. WWE really dropped the ball on him.
Also, wasn't AJ Styles in in a couple WWE matches? Dude might be the best wrestler in the world right now, after having one of the most incredible career resurgences with New Japan. He has become a consistent **** match machine.
AJ was never formally employed by WWE. He wrestled a handful of times on Jakked, I guess either as a tryout or local guy to bring in to job to someone on the roster. They offered him a developmental deal, which paid shit and would require he move to Cincinnati, where HWA was operating out of. Needless to say he turned them down.
Kaval. Low-Ki is a fantastic worker and after winning NXT, they had him cash in his guaranteed title shot against...Ziggler for the IC title, at Survivor Series 2010. Shows you what they thought of him. A month later, he was gone. Criminal.
Give him an IC Title run, team him up with Neville and have them go after the Tag Titles, put him on NXT with Owens, Balor, Itami, Zayn...whatever he does, he would've fit in with WWE today more than he did in 2010.
I remember being really really impressed with the promo he cut after he was eliminated from NXT, the guy had a lot of potential, can't say his deal as EC3's sign holder is much better tho XD XD XD
Willy Mack, dude was in NXT, passed medical and was released before he even arrived in Orlando and now he is turning heads in Lucha Underground, same goes for Ivelisse from LU who also was in NXT and now is doing great in LU. Same goes for Johnny Mundo, aka John Morrison in WWE.
The Jumping Bomb Angels. Watch Suvivor Servies 88 and tell me that these two couldn't have been huge. Why they were let go so early I still can't fathom.
They tried but outside of his epic entrance music the crowds didn't give a damn about him. Hell even the hardcore fans didn't really care until he was in 3MB.
